How did this guy afford to have WRC anti lag system in his car? did he rebuilt his durbo and engun every 1k miles?
>>17728548
He sleeps in a broom closet at the train station to afford gaskets and turbo rotors.
>>17728571
The Ford Raptor and GT have anti-lag systems and come with warranties. How does that work?
So one of my front springs collapsed on my E92 and was rubbing against the inside tire sidewall as I was driving it to the shop. Replaced springs and struts and everything is golden, but I now have some damage to the inside sidewall to the tire. It dug in to the closest part of tire to the wheel. Is it safe to drive long distances with the tire? The tire itself still has plenty of tread left and the damaged part has no contact with the road.
Pic is my car. Couldn't take a pic of the damaged tire without removing it
>>17728229
Take it to a tire shop to be checked and plugged if necessary. Shouldn't run more than $30, unless the tire is fucked.
>>17728356
newfag
>>17728356
Its not a hole or a rip, its really a "ring" around the tire's inside sidewall where the busted spring rubbed. I dont think it can be plugged.
>first at stoplight in middle of three lane street at 4 way intersection
>light turns green, start to go
>black dude on bike out of nowhere flies past me, hit his back tire
>he stumbles on the bike a bit then keeps riding across the street
>didn't hit him just his bike but want to see if he's ok anyway
>make uturn
>ask if he's ok from my car and he says "yeah"
>drive off
Was I in the wrong here? Isn't it a rule that you're not supposed to ride bikes across crosswalks?
A bicycle is supposed to follow the same rules as a car. So no he shouldn't have been in the crosswalk and he also shouldnt have run a red light/ do not walk sign.
>>17728220
depends on where you live. in Portland, even tho the bike broke all the rules, you'd be castrated since you were driving a big mean car that's eating up all the baby bird's oxygen and the dindu was saving the world on his bicycle of hope
>>17728220
Chances are it wasn't his bike to begin with so I doubt anyone was "in the wrong".
My car started making a pulsing squealing noise when idling at red lights/stops. Squeals very loud when pulling out, then stops after acceleration. Starting to happen at almost every stop. Sounds like coming from near the wheels or under hood.
Any ideas /o/? '99 Toyota Corolla if that helps.
Thanks you guys are great!
Idler pulley?
Cat stuck in belt, or just belt.
Probably has to do with belt tension, Toyota opted out on loaded belt tensioners on certain parts of the belt drive for economy cars so full accessory load at idle tends to make them skip and screech. Try turning lock to lock with a/c full blast at idle, that will usually be the easiest way to make it act up.
Hey /o/ this subhuman parked i my spot, what do?
Bend his plate up 90º

Enjoy losing Australia day you Victorian fuck.

Obviously a doctored image, here's a comparison using accurate, real world, recorded data.
I've been looking to buy a Lexus RC-F but some things about it bug me:
>Auto only
>No hardtop convertible
>Weight
I know that the weight can be offset by using composite panels (saves about 200kg). If I could get someone to fabricate a manual trans for me how much weight would that save? How much of a weight difference do autos and manuals have in general?
Now for the most difficult part, converting it to a hardtop convertible. I know that some weight WILL be added. What I'm asking is:
>Is it even possible to get a body shop to do this for me?
>How much trunk space would that take away?
>How would it affect the handling GIVEN that I compensated for the weight gain by reducing it on other parts
Money is not an issue. At all.
Also don't insult me you faggots, I'm just asking and I can't find anything even remotely relevant on Google
>>17727368
V6 ftype with manual, leave now
>>17727373
I don't even care about the car that much, I just want answers to my questions m8
>>17727368
it would be too expensive and the car would drive like shit because it wasn't engineered to be a convertible from the start.
Why does nobody talk about SLK's?
>230+ horsepower
>Miata Handling
>Hardtop convertiable
>Reliable as fuck
>Beautiful fucking interior
Owned an Slk32 for 3 years and regret selling it, wonderful car.
>>17727334
Eurofans typically hate Miata like cars.
Miata weebs typically hate anything non Japanese.
>>17727334
>Mercedes
>reliable
I'm surprised if this isn't a troll. Hate Mercedes as a rule.
Are they reasonably cheap for maintenance too? That'd make me lose my grip on reality
they weigh a lot for such a small car, doubt they'd have miata handling

Are dildo shifters the next big automotive fad?

probably, given that I want to do it and my friends are telling me it would be awesome, its probably going to catch on.
>looking at a saab 9-2x linear on Friday that'll end up lifted with a fold out campsite in the back if the head gasket has been replaced in the last 50k miles
I need help identifying this steering wheel.
It says Dino on it. I googled "dino steering wheel" and found a bunch that look identical for sale on ebay.
Apparently they're old and Italian.
I don't think you needed help identifying it at all.
what the fuck, aren't these boat steering wheels?
>>17727198
Boat steering wheels were modeled after sport car steering wheels of olde, cars moved away from that design when airbags became mandatory but boats stuck with that design because boats don't have airbags.
Looking to import a car from japan and I've recently fallen in love with the Chaser's. The 1JZ in them makes them worth the 7-8 grand thoughts/experiences?
>>17727096
7-8 gives you a lot of leeway in terms of imports
If you are willing to get the paperwork done yourself and not by a dealer who's going to double the pricetag AFTER shipping to do it for you, you can get some neat shit
I'm pretty sure you could get a fucking Cosmo if you can suffer auto and dorito motors
Soarers are cool too
>>17727162
dont want that 2 liter 1G want that 1J more power
>>17727189
I mean as long as its 25 (NHTSA)/21(EPA) the gov't stops giving a shit. Its expensive to be unique but I suppose that makes it worth it
Honestly with a lot of these cars its becoming more attractive to pay "SLIGHTLY" more than the drift tax version of USDM cars to get a JDM imported and hopefully less beat on than all these old sluts that have 200k miles and 8 previous owners.
