I bought a new car and I couldn't be happier.

That's all that matters.
Congrats bud
>>17737573
if ur car is pic related
nice car OP
How can I find out who has owned my car in the past? Is there any way to find archived craigslist ads and such too?
>>17737525
idk
>>17737525
Google search vin and see what comes up
Depending on the make you might be able to get a report from the manufacturer if you go to a dealership when its dead. Hell, I was even able to get the name (no other info) of who bought my Toyota when it was new, and where it was bought. Chevrolet only gave me factory info, car was built on a thursday....
I'm doing a track day in a couple of weeks, what things do I need to know? How do I prepare the car and what do I need to check/change after the day?
I can't heel and toe I've been trying but my feet point outwards too much.
>>17737296
If how you describe yourself is accurate, I'd say just try to stay out of everyone's way and learn the track/how your car feels on the track. Don't go full Dagumi right away. Being slow is better than wrecking your car, or worse, somebody else's. Personally, I'd, at the very least, do an oil change the day/night before, inspect brakes, and check tire condition/pressure.
Good luck and have fun, anon.
Learn what racing lines are and study the layout of the track very carefully.

Thanks man, I give the car an occasional flogging on the mountain twisties or at night when nobody is on the roads, but on the track I'm gonna start cruisy and get a feel for how hard I can push it.
Do I need to change my brake fluid after or will it still be fine? I have super DOT 4 for reference
>2017
>he still doesn't own a GMT400 Suburban
What's your excuse?
Most of them have rusted away up here in Canada.
>>17736899
because my single cab Silverado will suffice.

SUV's are for manlets
Can i put a 2011 ford explorer tranny and motor in a 2002???
sure
easily? probably not
Even if it was free you would spend more making it happen then just buying something of the same generation. For that matter I bet it's cheaper to buy another then swapping anything into it.
Does anyone know what kind of car this is? I know this photo quality is terrible, but an ID would be much appreciated!
Chevrolet Avalanche
Looks like an Avalanche.

that's a fucking fiero with a body kit. fucks
>buy what i assumed to be a simple mod
>comes today, get to installing it
>end up having to run a wire through the firewall
>cantbehard.jpg
>four hours later nothing to show for it but probably several holes in important things from the coathanger i was using as a fishtape, a car full of mosquitoes, a sore throat from yelling obscenities and a couple tools stuck in the wall of my garage
cars are fucking stupid
Yeah dude welcome to modern cars. Pain in the fucking ass
Everyone uses coathangers to stab the shit out of the firewall gromets and wiring harnesses running through them, dude.
Simple mods never are. Figure out what you stabbed or didn't, get it through and in, and wire that shit up. Same thing happened to me in my r32 like 9 years ago. The wires I stabbed in the harness are still exposed today and everything works fine.
I'm guessing you are installing a subwoofer/amp?
Last weekend I installed one in my V70, but luckily Volvo (unintentionally) made routing the wire easy-peasy
What is employee pricing at a dealership and how much will I save?
My job gets me that perk at half the dealerships around town.
I'm looking to upgrade my ride.
I AIN’T HAPPY
My uncle works in corporate and Ford, and can get me $3,000 - $4,000 knocked off sticker price.
Is that what you're talking about?

It's a scam that's supposed to convince you to come on down and trust the salesman.
Need a better daily driver (can't afford a 2nd faster car. Maybe motorcycle in 5 years cause other priorities)
2010 or newer.
0-60 in 7 seconds or less
subcompact or compact sedan
Not super expensive financed or leased cause I only make 2.5k a month and rent is almost 1k.
I'm slowly climbing the ladder but I plan to drive this car for 10 years cause i'll do all the maintenance myself.
>>17736375
>I don't have a lot of money
>but I want something fast
first off, post your budget
second, you aren't getting a fast car. Get a cheap car, save your money then buy your favorite thing
>>17736388
7 seconds isn't fast just enjoyable.
>>17736375
>2010 or newer
>Not super expensive
>I only make 2.5k a month and rent is almost 1k
Don't get a 2010 or newer car if your monthly income is that and your requirement is "not super expensive"
I like the a e s t h e t i c

someone will probably poast dream cruise pics on saturday/sunday
>have FWD hot hatch

>go WOT in my dad's twin turbo V8
>now it's just slow
>>17736348

The fastest car I've ever driven was a Focus ST. Honestly can't imagine driving something with 400+
>>17736348
>going from an iM to an AMG

Fuck off Crow

Probably a 6x6 modification for my Suburban

Hey /o/ does anyone know if it's possible to substitute vw parts for Audi parts to save some money?
Or is it just another rabbit hole?
I'd expect that you could if they were the exact same part, yeah. But since Germans can't into interchangeable parts, I wouldn't count on it for most things.
>>17736127
uhhh ?????
some platforms are similar. some aren't. the MK4 and b5 are the same for the most part.
Back when I had my Miata every day was pedal-to-the-floor hooning like a mad cunt. More power's nice on the highway but completely useless around town.
Friend of mine wants to quiet down his exhaust by adding a resonator and a muffler onto his mid pipe.
He asked me which order they should go in, and I didn't really have am answer for him
Anyone here know if there is a difference? And is there a distance they should have between them?
Doesn't matter, the key for quiet exhaust is to do the loop trick. The exhaust will keep passing through the muffler over and over until it is almost silent.
>>17735974
if you stuck a tarbo on there you would have infinite power
>>17736016
That's what the picture says...
