Classic shitbox > modern shitbix
Generic copy/pasta incoming:
>Cars are considered classic at 25 years old, shopping carts not so much.
>Everybody has their own taste, either if it's of age or rarity. Liquor, too.
>Post your classic, your work on it, your clearing stick, and get advice
>Any and all discussion about classics welcome, even Cyrus' fuckin' Corvette
>Any and all classics welcome regardless of nationality, Canadian or American.
>Rust is a bitch, and not for the faint of heart; tread lightly and carry a rum and coke
>You will inevitably spend twice your budget, no exceptions unless you mint your own hash coins
Im taking my firebird on it's first roadtrip today, after installing a horn finally. pls no break
What's a good first classic car, with some modern day merits that hasn't been affected by huge boomer bubble. Really everything semi neat has gone over the moon and back pricewise.
Located in Europe btw. Only thing I can think of is a e36. But that isn't really a classic. Yet, perhaps. Or an e34, but that is just a wallet buster waiting to happen.
>€3000 budget for purchase
>first classic car
>easy to wrench on
>reasonable parts availability
>some modern day merits
>some form of joie de vivre.

Postan while I wait On my Manual and save for either floor pans or wheels...
Which one should I get first?
I'll still need to access the brake lines to replace them, so should I take that into account?

why are women retarded in general?

go back to using facebook messenger while behind the wheel and opening your door into the neighboring parked car and then driving away like a coward, stacy.
Lack of transcendent values.
Weird rpm idle
Recently my car has been idling fairly high (around 2000rpm in a 4 cylinder) but then every so offten when I start it up the idle will be back down around 1000rpm it seems to change everytime I start it. Is my car fucked? It's a 220000 mile car so I know issues are expected
>>17763745
throttle body is sticking, clean it.
>>17763775
Anything else I should clean while I'm at it?
Spark plugs? air filter?
There are several options.
One is a dirty throttle body.
One is an idle air control valve that is dirty and sticky
One is a leak in the intake behind the mag
One is a leak in the exhaust pre o2 sensor
One is a vacuum leak.
It's probably a combination of a couple. You need to give your shit some tlc so to speak
What year model is this? Asking for a friend
>>17763397
Either a 98 or 99 Eddie Bauer Edition Ford Explorer
Good luck officer
>>17763409
Lol close
My friend runs the Marathon they drove off from
>>17763424
Ah, I'm not sure on the year, but it's definitely a second gen Explorer, the wheels and body kit denote a Eddie Bauer, especially with those wheels
I guarantee it was white with a gold stripe going around both sides of the car
-Race LS1 in upgraded 2 valve 4.6.
-Lose.
-Race LS1 in upgrade 3 valve 4.6.
-Lose.
-Finally save up for Coyote swap.
-Swap is incredibly hard. Wish you had LS-swapped. Complete Coyote swap.
-Driver's battle with LS1. Get awesome at shifting. Drop those gears to 4.10. Weight reduction. Your car is getting miserable to daily.
-Consistently beat stock 02 T/A because fuck his LS1.
-Then lose to your neighbor with an 01 z28 and bolt-ons. He's not even tuned.
-Give up on your stupid SN95 that's had three engines.
-Get a C5 Corvette.
-Call everyone with an f-body peasants.
-Call everyone with Coyotes slow.
-Get khaki shorts.
-Get polo shirt.
-Join golf club.
-Drive 5 under the speed limit even though only brand new, or highly modified cars can beat you.
-Don't even race anyone anymore.
-Drive home one day. See kid in a 2-valve 4.6. He has like 200hp and somehow you realize, he's cooler than you.
-What happened.
-Kill yourself
>Tfw I'm your neighbor with the Z28

You described me right up until the polo shirt, minus the three engine swaps in my sn95. Corvette master race, feels bretty good man.
All the people constantly shit talking C5s in /o/ are hilariously jelly poor bus riders.
It is undeniably the best bang for your buck sports car these days.
>but muh cheap plastic interior
Gee, what fucking car these says doesn't have a little bit of plastic? I covered all my plastic shit with suede. Most everything else is high quality vinyl anyway.

I mean more of like a car that i can buy since i am looking for my first car
Why cant they fucking drive? I've went through some google searches and all the forums and what not say its just a sexist myth. How can they even claim its a fucking myth, have you ever seen a bitch drive? They're fucking awful, driving 20 kmph in a fast lane, not letting others pass them, constantly on their phones, seriously, if it was up to me, I would not allow any female to get a drivers licence. And dont give me that "they pay less insurance money". Even if a guy fucking crashes his car and dies with 10 people in the car with him and its a tragedy im 101% he is still a generally better driver then a fucking stupid bitch. If it was just a myth you wouldnt notice it was a woman driving without even looking at her, just look at the car and how it moves, you can see its a woman driving from fucking 10 miles away. Im pissed off sorry, but I want to hear your guys oppinions on this shit, I get FUCKING FURIOUS while driving way
>>17762552
passed by a woman again, eh?
>>17762570
no but i got a stomach ulcer this morning after a bitch was holding up a line of 10 cars because she was too busy looking on her fucking phone, even after everybody started honking, no reaction, its like they dont even care
>>17762552
I don't know what it is other than their inherent lack of spatial reasoning. The other day when my cousin was driving I felt super nauseous, constant swerving and unnecessary braking. When her husband drove I felt fine.
