I found one with 2.2 VTEC Engine (200 PS) with "only" ~150 000 km.
AC, Sunroof, cruise control and leather seats
5.999 €
>>17778823
I was buying those for under 3.300 € when I was 18...a DECADE ago.
>>17778823
Seems expensive, those things are like sub 2k here.
>>17779059
Burgerland?
I don't see very many 5th gen Preludes, and when they are, the only sub 2k ones are beat to shit or out of commission.
Was it a economic thing?
I feel as though it could've been kept on modern cars as it makes the car more appealing at least to me
Something about safety regulations
They didn't go out of style. Car safety regulations started to include pedestrian safety criteria and pop up headlights for whatever reason are very dangerous in a pedestrian collision so they got banned
>>17778056
Pop-ups are kinda heavy, regular headlights can reduce weight.
Not to mention they create more air-resistance and thus make your car slightly less aerodynamic when moving, but I doubt that's one of the reasons why they're gone.
>>17778062
>>17778071
Also yeah this, apparently they're unsafe and people can get impaled on them, so a lot of safety normies don't like them. That's the real reason.
Has anyone played this before and are there any similar older games like it? Doesn't seem very popular.
It's not popular because it didn't sell well, and was a 360 exclusive title. Only something like 20-50,000 copies sold, or at least only that many saw much use.
Made by Genki, responsible for all the Tokyo Xtremes. Import Tuner Challenge is the most accessible and probably the best entry point to the series, and actually replayable through more than one playthrough. I still play it myself.

No surprise here.
Not a huge mechanic like many enthusiasts on this board i bought this HR motor 350z and its my first car that i actually bought the only other car ive previously owned is a 2003 toyota corolla i already have most of the car paid off so im not worried about paying for it but what is definitely stupid is the fact that im already more than used to the power of the car is this shit just a catch 22 just like PC building that i fell for i had something fast and all i wanted was something faster and faster when all i do is play CS GO? why is life like this
>>17784313
what are commas
>>17784320
my whole life is a run on sentence with no punctuation anon
>>17784313
Yes, but also like PC building after a while of fucking with shit your wallet is empty and you can't afford to fuck with it. so you stop thinking about fucking with it.
Any reason why I shouldn't be looking to buy one of these? Leaning towards gen 3 morso than the 2.5 gens as theres more gen 3s to sort though.
Aside from the Unibody construction I can't find a flaw.
Even then the only flaw with the unibody is marginally increased suspension noise compared to the earlier gen 2.
These had huge diffs, and even being 4 wheel independent, they're over build with 28 spline front, 33 spline 1 1/2" axle rear and CVs that are up to more punishment than even a typical comparable live axle SUV (as long as you don't overcapitalise with suspension lift). The 5 speed Jatco gearbox in these isn't as strong as the outgoing 4 speed Aisin (presuming you're going auto) in the gen 2, but still strong enough if you're regularly towing large caravans. The 5 speed manual is the same overbuilt V5M31 between the 2 and 3, which apart from fickle syncros in some higher mileage units won't give you any grief.
Factory 4x4 system can be a little annoying, but DIY troubleshooting them has been well documented and once you understand the setup is simple logic to fix.
The gen 3 is a much less truck like SUV to live with daily without giving up anything in capability, unless you start modifying the gen 2.
Having said all that, I've still got a soft spot for gen 2s, particularly the unicorn gen 2.5 given the choice of any Montero configuration I'd personally choose the manual mechanical 4M40 gen 2 out of simplicity and longevity.

>but still strong enough if you're regularly towing large caravans
but still strong enough if you're not regularly towing large caravans*
It's normally the input shaft that fails on the Jatco 5 speed if lived a lifetime of hard work.
Is it better to Buy a customized car from a tunner? or build a car yourself?
Does anyone think about doing shit to your car and never do it? iv had a stock R32 for 4 years now and kept it stock, im bored to shit now, its funny how quickly times goes, ive been sitting on a stock boring R32 for 4 years, i have lots of money to make it a beast but i dont feel comfortable getting the parts and going to a garage to actually install mods
Sometimes i feel like im growing old or something, too old to modify my car, im 23 ive had this r32 since i was 19, if i had the money i have now at 19 i would probably have riced the shit out of it but idk, does anyone have this feel ?
should i mod this or buy an already modded car as a project and keep my r32 stock?
>>17784057
One of the reasons modifying a car in enjoyable is because it's a slow orocess.
You get to enjoy and feel the difference in every modification you make. It's not close to as much fun to send it somewhere and have it come back with a ton of stuff done.
Do some bolt ons. Go coilovers, a tune, better tires and wheels, sway bars, intake and exhaust.
Americans are so retarded that they will pay 2- dollars just to be passenger in a cheap Japanese sports car on a public road.
Americans everybody...

I'll wipe my ass with a twenty dollar bill you poorfag.
>>17784062
I'd rather do that with a 20 dollar bill than to give it to some retard with his cheap 20 something year old Japanese car to give me a ride.
Tell me straight up /o/, I think I hit a small jackpot here.
>Lots of recent installments of fluids / other parts
>Needs new radio / fuse & rear right brake pads
>but only $1600
I don't think a brake pad change would be too tough a task to force a beginner into the world of cars (this would be my first car). Thoughts?

>>17784017
I dont know anything about cars.
>>17784017
Buy that shit OP, brake pads are easy, fuses are cheap and a new radio is an opertunity to upgrade your sound system. When (if) you go to look at the car, just remember to look at everything, but from the ad it looks good.
>>17784017
>230 miles
Don't do it man, I know you want to but dont do it OP
Best car I can get for $10,000 max? Looking for a hatchback or small/mid suv. At least something within the last 10 or so years. Reliability is a big concern. Sedans are just too small for me.

Can't find any used around my area
Would it be unwise to daily drive a 1995 Range Rover?
I found one in great shape with 80,000 miles but I'm afraid it will cost an arm and a leg in maintenance and parts.
It can and it will. Save yourself the tears and buy a Land Cruiser.
My 05 Ford Focus 2.0s engine and steering has been locking up in the rain twice since It started , it got me home and when the rain stopped for a few days last week it started working fine again, today I noticed a small amount of oil leaking from the bottom of the engine case even though my engine light isn't on, I've had all my friends look at it and they can't help me diagnose it plzzz help us some one I can't afford to miss any work and I'll be spending half my earnings on lyft this week, I want my car in perfect shape anyways my family depends on it
Would it be smart to DD a 92 sc400? I'm a wage cuck so I don't have much to do surprise maintenance or any other crap. Tell me why I'm an idiot.
>>17783755
You aren't; they're good cars. The problem is that you're more likely to get struck by lightening than to get a good deal on an SC400 that hasn't been riced within inches of its life by a dozen pot-dealing teenagers.
>>17783755
no. they are reliable DDable cars. just don't overpay.
>>17783755
gas mileage would be bad.
