Does it hurt an automatic drivetrain to not use the ebrake? Every time I park without it, the car rolls a little bit until the slack is pulled out of the drivetrain and it's tensioned. I always wondered if that was doing any damage to the car.

There is definitely a market for these kinds of "souped up" normie cars. People who can't yet afford a luxury car brand, but have enough money for one of these things are becoming more and more common. I see a ton of "Sport" versions of cars on the road which just appear to be the performance editions of less exciting cars.
The real question is, will VW actually change the car up? The only difference to performance currently is a suspension alteration of 6 inches, and that was probably an aesthetic choice anyway. Why didn't they hit 300hp? That certainly would've gotten the attention of buyers. AWD? Anything?

I make $37k a year (shite I know, thanks state job that required a college degree)
i'm saving up cash for now.
Having trouble deciding with an early 2000s cool style or a 2009+ car that will have less style but be more economical.
I'm in hilly and stop/go traffic so I was planning on automatic but I can drive manual.
>I work 6 am - 5 pm so not much of a speedy driver and with 3 different school zones I drive in.
I find it unlikely I will get manual for a few years until I can afford a second vehicle as a motorcycle.
Just looking for some ideas besides the $3k civic meme.
Only real requirement is sedan for cheaper insurance premiums.

Have just moved to Canada from Australia and am in the process of buying a new car. Going to be using it for a drive to work for one of my jobs (other job I will walk/transit).
Right now I'm feeling this 2006 Crown Vic P71 at 202,185km/125631 miles. Priced at $2600CAD though I might ask for around $2200 first. Thoughts? There is also another Crown Vic on the market with more mileage, civi trim and a price of $2500CAD.

Second option I'm feeling is this 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass with 4D. Advertised for $2600CAD but I'd ask for $2000 I reckon. It has only 97,000km/60273 miles on it. But surely a car that old is just going to break anyway? It's former driver just died of natural causes.
