What are some of your guilty pleasures?
I'll start: Neo Chrome headlights
These turbo-blowing, understeering, entire front removal-neding for a simple timing belt change motherfuckers.
A B5 S4 is seriously higher up on my "want" list than an E46 M3 for no objective reason.
>>17796313
Just curious, don't know Audi that well, why not the B5 RS4?
>>17796319
Way rarer and more expensive.
And they never made it to the US, although that's not an issue for me since I'm in Europe.
Enlighten me on the Honda beat
Its a fucking clown car for faggots that play dungeons and dragons in 2017
It doesnt handle well, is dangerously slow, unsafe, and isnt even good looking

This, just get a bolt ev
>>17796438
What's wrong with playing Dungeons and Dragons?
>browsing UK used car sites
>R33 could be had for less than 7k
>even R34 could be had for slightly higher that number
Lucky bastards.
>>17796236
nah dude driving in the uk totally sucks muh insurance who cares that most jdm legends can be had for pennies and even "normal" cars can be had for much less than literally everywhere else on the planet.
>>17796400
I was quoted £540 for a year fully comp with breakdown cover, what 3rd world shithole of the UK do you live in Ahmed.
This is the one of only two redeeming factors about us, our cars are fuck cheap

>you gonna fly with that?
Why yes
be honest /o/
do you always properly wax your roof or just half ass it?
>>17796232
First wax of the year, after all the snow and winter shit has been able to chew at it for 4-5 months? All out. Usually around April.
2-3 months later? Maybe a sprinkle of that quick detailer shit, and then another good wax around Oct before winter sets in again.
I'd wax more frequently but I don't get nearly the sun required to eat the clearcoat up, the biggest worry is rust.
>>17796232
I wax everything well, roof, wheels windows and all
The wax I use is easy to work with plus my car is kind of low and I'm relatively tall or else it'd be a pain.
What wax do you guys use?
You guys see any cool cars on your way to work / school lately? I saw a Mk3 Supra today. I didn't get a picture. I did see a clean as fuck FD RX-7 the other month. On my way back, I DID get a picture. No owner present, and as I was leaving a tow truck started to pull up
>>17795963
>as I was leaving a tow truck started to pull up
lol typical rotary shit.
Its a nice FD tho. Doesnt look too bad even with the two tone thing going on.
>>17795975
Yeah man. I'm fairly sure it was well taken care of (it had a Rotary Shop plate frame on the back). Ironic though since it's on the side of the road. It's a bad angled picture but it was clean from every side
>>17795987
doesnt matter if it was taken care of. Rotary engines are more problematic than a normal piston engine.
How do you buy a car?
I know the general perception around here is "buy used", but I really can't shake the fear of pre-owned vehicles.
I want the safety and frankly smooth brain approach dealerships offer, where I know they'll cover me.
I am not a car guy, or car enthusiast, but I like cars and want to own something nice.
I want to shake the feeling of the "parents bought you a new car when you were 16 that you're still driving a decade later" attached to it.
Why shouldn't I go through a dealership, and by not, what problems am I inheriting by buying preowned?
>>17795831
>I want the safety and frankly smooth brain approach dealerships offer, where I know they'll cover me
With this in mind you're cruising to get ripped off. Dealerships make money on your ignorance. Never thing "they'd never do that would they?" because they fucking would
Stealerships will 9/10 times overcharge you for a shitty car. However this is moreso used car dealers. New econobox is fine as long as you drive it into the ground to get the most out of your investment.
>>17795831
If you want to buy a new car, do so when you can afford it.
A bank putting you in debt for the next 3-5 years isn't ideal. Buy your new car outright, or not at all.
Come home from college today and see that my brothers tires have been slashed. Only carriers Liability. Is he fucked?
Pic related but not his car.
>>17795792
Fucked as in.. Needs to buy a new set of tires? Yeah.
Could be worse. Hope they had some miles on them at least.
Yep somebody maliciously destroyed $100 worth of used tires. You wouldn't want to bother making a claim like that even on comprehensive unless they're like 40 inch thornbirds or something - which hopefully any vandal with a lick of sense would be afraid to slash anyway.
>>17795827
how did this dudes shirt get blown off
>he only uses one foot to operate the pedals despite owning an (semi/)automatic with only 2 pedals
Unless you're on a racetrack, there is literally no reason to left foot brake. It's discouraged for normies so they're less likely to confuse the pedals.
Left foot braking anywhere outside of a racetrack in an auto is kinda dumb. Manual it can make sense, engine braking, but not auto.
> about to crash

>tfw GM axed Pontiac RIGHT before they were gonna bring the G8 ST here
It's not fucking fair
I have heard mixed things on changing Transmission fluid on cars that are high mileage.
People say it does more harm than good.
I have heard from a tech that you either change it often, or leave it alone if its never been done.
What are /o's thoughts on this?
>>17795632
>change it often, or leave it alone
You alone must decide. It is never to late to change course. I myself have chosen the path of maintenance.
I remember something about the gaps and cracks in your gaskets getting plugged by the oil and all the small particulates in it. If you change it those small openings are now open and need to be replugged by the oil and particulates that arent there yet.
Many people fuck it up. I think it's worth a shot. Bad transmission fluid will fuck your shit up just the same.
>be me

>due to lack of property
>so no insurance isn't an option
any ideas?
>>17795517
Wtf is full mastermilo? How can insurance be expensive for that piece of crap. Also, shouldnt you work more then a few hours a week in your vakkenvuller or krantenbezorger job if you are unable to pay for this thing?
>>17795696
I can pay it but i need to pay my license too and if i have to spend say 100 quid on this thing every month that's not happening anytime soon.
This is going full mastermilo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YPR8PkeQpg
