Any of you bois been a professional delivery van driver? What's it like? I'm considering it as a side job next to uni.
>>17806006
I bet it's stressful
>>17806287
I'm sure it is, but is it a fun job? I like driving, but becoming a lorry driver is a bit too extreme.
>>17806006
How hard can it be? It's like being a pizza delivery, except you can go at your own pace.
Go to 1st address, deliver package, go to 2nd address, deliver package, etc etc.
Have a mildy rusty interior thats bare metal atm and I wanna paint it over while I'm waiting on a new angle grinder to ship. Whats the best solution? I know bedliner is poisonous and I don't really need POR 15 or rust converter, just metal interior paint to make it look nice? Vinyl maybe?
tractor paint and a cheap brush
how do i find out what the insurence will be like on a car im looking at before i buy it?
is there a website that can figure out an estimate?
im still a carlessfag rn and im looking to see whats the funnest first car i can get without paying jewloads on insurance.
pic for attention
If you're in the US you can just go to an insurers site and get quotes to see how much a vehicle will cost to insure.
>>17805948
>step one call insurance agent
>step two tell them "here is the vin# of the car I'm looking at how much will it cost from you guys for X coverage?
>step 3 they FUCKING TELL YOU
It isn't this fucking hard
Why do they have to make all these truck and SUV grills so fucking huge nowadays? The older Suburban looked much more subtle and better.
All these trucks would look the same.
>>17806018
Looks exactly like that new Lincoln. Now compare this to the old Suburban, which looked way better.
Larger grille=better airflow on the radiator, which translates to a higher payload/towing capacity.
Had you ever jacked off to a car before?
>>17805808
Honestly.. only if there's a pretty girl taking a big shit on it.
>>17805835
Bonus points if i actually like the car too of course.
>>17805808
no but i jacked IN a car before
So the air suspension compressor burnt out in my 2004 Cadillac Deville. Instead of replacing the compressor I decided to replace the air shocks with standard spring ones.
New parts get here and I go out to do the installation myself.
Long story short make sure you have a jack supporting the rear frame of the car as well as the side.
As soon as I popped the bottom shock bolts the rear frame pinned my hand into the grass so fast I had no time to react.
Now I have a bolt sized hole in my left index finger.
Finished the job and it looks great.
Now instead of sag I got some lift and I actually like it.
Feel free to share your dumbass self repair injury stories while practicing our favorite hobby.
Still not sure if I should go and get stitches.
Probably won't.
The stitches would cost as much as the damn shocks.
>right brake light stopped working
>connect a wire to the left brake light and run it to the right one so the left is powering the right
>figure out a year later that the fuse was blown
replaced the fuse and the light started working again
>go to test drive a car
>dealer gets in car with you

>>17807715
I've got too much free time desu. Anyways it's too late to go out now, I should get to bed.
>like a while after scion is kill
>go to toyota dealer with friend
>hey i want to test drive that last frs
>get passed on by like 3 different employees
>finally get some asian girl who is about to go on lunch
>she takes my id to scan
>she takes me to car on golf cart, with dealer tag
>says to just come back within 20 mins
>so you're not coming with us
>no just be careful please
>yes i will be
>go for a 17 minute trip, drive it fairly hard but not redlining it or anything horrible
>fun car I get it now
>come back
>chick is on lunch still
>leave key on her desk and ask salesguy to get my ID back
I've also gone on a test drive helping my brother find a used truck. Nice to point out all the flaws while the dealership guy/owner is in the seat squirming to come up with excuses
Needing your advice /o/
Have an S65 AMG here, can't work out whats leaking.
There are no problems in terms of drive with the suspension, corners great and the lower/lift button still raises and lowers the car equally.
A line seems to terminate next to the strut but have no idea what that is either.
The dirty fluid is colored green and is quite thick.
Any ideas?

the line looks like an a/c line and service port.
>>17805556
a/c oil is usually dyed green.
No fucking clue why an a/c service port would be down there, and disclaimer I know nothing at all about mercedes.
>>17805556
Checked it for leaks with blue light and nothing showed, any ideas why there would be green oil on it?
I have 5k BTC now. Should I cash out and buy a Lambo?

Wait 5 years then pick one up for 2.5k used, this is AMERICA BUDDY.
I am looking for light used trucks.
Is there any other brand out there to look at besides Mazda B series and Ford Ranger. Looking for something over 100k miles to take me to 250k.
Tacomas are literally priced 3x what they are worth so they not under consideration.
I'm leaning towards the 4cyl trims atm.
>>17807554
Just get a 90s Ford Ranger. They're easy to find and it'll last you a while if you maintain it.
