The answer is Verizon burned me with data overages and my bill was 1200 for one month's use. Cricket was the only provider I could find locally whose SD card would work with my 6s. On top of that, paying less than 50 bucks is nice and practical considering I e got wifi in the house and it's just about everywhere else.
