Thoughts on the Subaru Levorg?
I don't see why not
>>16901798
it's a car.
Should have come to the states as a WRX wagon, should have been a manual. Don't see how Subaru could make such fatal errors when 50% of the 2014 WRXs sold in the US were hatchbacks and nearly all of them were manual.
Wtb one of these. What's a good reputable way to import one? Is it worth importing? Is USDM better? AE86 THREAD.
>>16901662
usdm is not better, just cheaper and not by much if you are buying an AE86 GTS hatch that isn't rusted to shit.
you sound underage as fuck.
but I'll play along. If you want to import it you can check importers like pacificcoastauto. They have a website as well as a youtube of the type of stuff they import on the regular
http://pacificcoastjdm.com/
examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziW0z8Dwtb8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z9L5Ouun0M
if you want to buy one that is already in the states (assuming you live here) you can buy from a place like japanese classic llc in Richmond, Virgina.
https://www.japaneseclassics.com/inventory/
they import the cars here themselves and do all the complicated paper work stuff done.
there are a premium on Ae86's ESPECIALLY JDM ones.
expect to pay at least $10k for these slow (but fun) shitboxes, but since you are asking on /o/ and not doing your own research chances are you probably can't afford it.
>tfw want a levin coupe
>have to either import or go down to la and find a shitty conversion that costs twice as much as other 86s
>>16901790
or do the conversion yourself?
>Driving with headphones in your ears
Why do people do this?
>>16901655
They like to keep the turn signal on for 30 minutes and freak nearby drivers
>>16901655
Probably because cassette player.
I drive with headphones in because my car is so loud that it causes ear fatigue, the headphones block out some of the sound and make it more comfortable for me.
Also, if I get a phone call I can just press the button on the cable and answer the call without looking at the phone.
>can't afford a car right now
>having to listen to people in their straight piped cars hooning in the distance at 2am
Its ok because I can't straight pipe my car because it will sound bad...

>>16901272

>>16901272
I hate those fake exhaust port on new car. Can't they just stop making cars with such ugly exterior. Also fake air vents pisses me off.
>>16901272
Hopefully the exhaust builds up under the car enough while parked that it will put the owner out of his misery

Can I buy a good motorcycle for $1,000?
I just need something to ride back and forth to work overnight. My car just hit 100k miles and I know that is the turning point when major things start needing to be replaced and fixed. Got $1,000 to spare and want to get a bike but don't know anything about them.
Just put the thousand in your car maintenance account dummy is not going burn a hole in your pocket
Pretty much in the same boat as you lad, all the motorcycles I've seen under $2000 are "needs some work NO LOWBALLERS" which usually include the engine being seized or need new wheels and brakes which brings the total up another $2000 anyway just to get it running.
I was looking to get one just to save on gas, but in reality it's more economical to just go with what >>16900101 said and keep up to date with your major services
yes. if you know what you're looking for you can get a decent running 80s honda for $600-700
I'm looking at buying a bunch of filters off Rockauto and noticed I can get three Bosch Workshop Air Filters for the price of one Wix.
Its just an air filter... cheaping out should be fine right?
I run HEPA filters. Only the best for my baes lungs (^:

Buy OEM.
Hey guys. Gonna buy myself a Chrysler 300C from 2007. Have any of you driven this type, can you tell me pros and cons? I´ve driven it for a few minutes just to decide if I should buy it but I would like an opinion from someone who has spent some time driving it.

This is a gift for all Alfa Romeo fans (and not) on /o/.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxHVg-EwfjCoMlBDVEpOOWFHaTA/view
It's pic related, the pdf of the "Fusi", a very rare Alfa Romeo book which includes even technical sheets and aspect about every model of Alfa Romeo since 1910 to the book's year edition.
It's BILINGUAL, so a page is in Italian and the other page is in English.
Thank me later /o/.
You won't find this on internet.
I love you OP

How many cars have you killed?
>totaled 2 in accidents (at fault once)
>blew up engine in another
>tfw 21 and on my 5th car
1 totaled (not at fault)
1 flooded
1 blown engine
>>16899299

Chevrolet Trailblazer
Transmission blew out at 130K miles.
Totalled a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition with like 66k km on the clock because I was doing 40km downhill and didn't realize how sharp the curve was (speed posted was 50km) and it had just started raining. Ended up in a slide, tried to counter steer, had no knowledge of how AWD works when losing traction, saved it, over corrected, ended up backwards, hit a barrier, need up half on top of it.
Left rear wheel broke off and the rotor shattered, front bumper came off, suspension on the left rear was toast, right rear had a bent control arm, and it was leaking pretty heavy (coolant).
Not fun.
