If you wanted an off-road/rock crawling or desert riding truck, which one from these would you pick?
Points to note.
Dodge Ram 2500 Rebel
>6.4L Hemi V8
>Made of steel
>A bit on the heavier side.
Ford F150 Raptor
>5.5L EcoBoost V6
>Made of aluminum
>Lighter and more fuel efficient
Both looks muscular enough and excels well on the task it's made for.
So what's your pick?
>>16903944
>>5.5L EcoBoost V6
ERROR!
It has a 3.5L EcoBoost V6

I'll just buy a stock truck, jack it up a little, buy off terrain tires, offroad suspension that can handle the abuse and PRESTO, I saved a lot of money not going overboard by buying a $70k offroader.
I'll take the one with a diesel option thanks.
Why does everyone on this board drive a Miata?
>>16903484
Cheap, light, fun, available, reliable, easy to work on, RWD
It just makes sense

Time for your balt general.
What you drive, where you drive and how you drive it?
Any interesting things happen recently?
Can't drive anything at the moment, weather has been relatively shit
>>16903488
spring is soon. I put on summer tyres and ended up pulling hektik skidz when I went through a forest as the entire road was still pure ice.
any one coming to ECC tuning event end of april?
Has anybody owned an elise? Everybody i talk to says they are great on the track. Always wanted one and I think I'm at the point where I can afford one. Really excited. There are a few on my local autotrader I'm planning on checking out. But really I'll probably ask somebody to go with me, don't know what to look for. Red I think is too flashy, maybe silver? Either way, as long as it runs and isn't beat on. Also might look at earlier lotus, but eh, I like the Elise. Keep true to my goal lol. Elise or hell an exige if i can find one. Really the exige is harder to find and usually way more expensive. But what are you gonna do? As long as they are in demand the price will reflect it. I don't mind. That's life.
>>16903259
get a porsche or an ae86 man
>>16903270
how the hell does an AE86 compare to an elise
>>16903279
spend the difference in parts and find out
What are some cars that are similar to the 86? Especially in handling. Rear-wheel drive preferred.
ae86
240SX
>>16903269
240s handle like dog ass and are slower than miatas.
Are non-STI wrx's considered sportscars ?
>>16903130
Sport sedan
>>16903139
what's the difference between sport sedan and sport car?
>>16903130
No, and the STI isn't a sports car either. it's an econobox with 300hp.
Opinions?
No.
No.

>>16902925

>posts a track car with a TON of work done to it
You mean aesthetically fucked-up, yet brutally-functional?
Have this image.
>>16902944
track cars are fucked up
Trying to analyze things here and I think I see a pattern
no

I wish! That looks like fun...
This exact one and was always JELLY AS FUCK at all others with those chain driven carts like in the OP.
So jelly that at some later point I used it to fucking hoon downhill with that shit at NECKBREAKING speeds.
Hi /o/, quick question, should a gear "click" into place in a manual? Just bought a 2002 WRX (Oh no, muh reliability, muh boy racer car), and the transmission shifts fine. No clunking, no grinding, no slipping or popping into neutral and the clutch works great, but I can physically feel the shifter locking into each gear. Is that normal? This is the 5th manual car I've owned so it's nothing new, and I know it's not my driving, but I've had several cars do the same thing. My Prelude, Mazda 3 and Camaro all shifted smoothly into gear, without any feeling whatsoever. My GTI and now WRX both seem to "click" (without making a noise) into gear, so it feels more connected, but I was wondering if that's a bad sign. My GTI had the same transmission/clutch for the 30k miles I owned it, and never once had a problem, it just didn't smoothly lock into gear. Should I have it checked out? Thank you.
Some do, some don't in my experience. 86 300 doesn't click (there is a little chunky feedback vBecause the synchros are getting fucked but doesn't make an actual click) but my 14 gen coupe does click
It means your gay has the gay
So it should fit you just fine
>>16902562
So I don't have to worry that the tranny is just going to drop mid-commute? The GTI was never a problem, but then I'd drive another manual that wouldn't feel like anything at all when shifting and wonder if mine was broken. I was hoping it would just be due to the fact that it has a lightened flywheel and short throw shifter.
>>16902574
Yup, sounds about right. My vape did that before the wrx though...
My car has not jacking point in the front, but I want to put a jack stand under both sides. I've read that you can use the car subframe, but I'm scared of demolishing something.
What is the proper way to raise both sides of a car using a jack when there is no center point?
>>16902234
chassis rails
>>16902234
>>16902237
So you insert the jack from the side, align it on the chassis rail, and lift until you can fit a jack stand under both sides?
Or do you do it in two steps?

What is wrong with fastfags? Are they all angry because they got in a fight with the girlfriend?
>local 1+1 road over a pond
>slushy snow coming down, wetting road and reducing visibility
>speed limit is 50 keks / hour
>drive along at 50
>black pickup truck appears in mirror, following closely
Ok my friend I will drive instead at 65 keks / hour because I can see you are in a hurry
>raise speed
>get illegally passed over left-right separating line anyway
Didn't they go to driving instruction?
Move your slow ass out of the way you fucking bitch ass whore
>speed limit is 45
>I drive 46
What is wrong with slow fags? If you want to go slow then fine. But use the pull-offs to let faster drivers pass on one lane roads. Also don't act immature and angry when you get passed.
