Starting to plan a build for a tegra from the late 90s and early 00
The look I'm aiming for
Well, hopefully you'll have something to show for it before you lose any and all motivation to depression.
Hang in there.
Spoiler alert, finding unmodified integras is like finding an unmolested Nissan 180SX. They exist in theory but god help you and your wallet if you actually hunt one down and likely have to import from Japan before you even start to 'build' it.
Is this the entry to god machines?

It's ridiculous how cheap 996 is right now. Maybe Boxter cheapened the image?

IMS bearing failures cheapened the image. You can get a running Boxter for $4K now.

What do you mean by this?
My aunties tercel is fast enough to get you in trouble if you go over the speed limit.

Y'all bitches like to criticize SUVs on a daily basis, went to ask for a SUV advice and ended up with 30 replies saying if I was a woman.
What makes a sedan a better buy than a SUV or crossover without even dropping names?, please educate me you /o/ smart asses.
>>17820453
>What makes a sedan a better buy than a SUV or crossover without even dropping names?
nothing just buy a coupe and quit being a faggot
Sedans have better handling, lighter weight, better fuel economy, more performance.
OLD SUV
>handles like shit
>roomy af
>shit gas mileage
>can actually go offroading
Modern suv
>just as roomy as a full size car
>still handles like shit
>shit gas mileage
>cant go offroad
basically modern suvs offer no real advantage over a modern car or minivan therefor they are for retarded cucks with more money than sense
I wanna install a new tachometer in my 69 beetle, people reccommend atleast 18 or 20 guage AWG wire but all I have on hand is 16 gauge speaker wire. Will the wire burn out or will I be fine?
>>17820357
You've got it backwards. 16 gauge is bigger than 18. So you'll be fine
>>17820357
>speaker wire
It will look terrible to the trained eye.
>>17820368
I noticed that, but I thought it was because of the material of the wire as 18 tends to be silver stranded while beefy 16 and 12 guage are copper

What is so bad about Tesla? Most people here seem to be hating them.
I understand that automatic driving is killing car-culture. This, while I definitely share the feeling, however is a little bit subjective. You have to distinguish between what's good and what's right.
But anything else..?

has there ever been a car company that has evolved faster than Hyundai?
>one year, they are the worst car company on earth, not even their top tier cars could compete with the garbage that America put out
>next year, they make a car that competed heavily with the with the category giants, the accord and camry
say what you want about Hyundai, but they actually try
my friends who have newer hyundais have them constantly break. i have no idea what you mean.
>>17820231
is it past 2005?
does it have the garbage 4 banger or a v6?
is it 4wd(their 4wd is garbage)?
>>17820226
Hyundai has gotten better, but I think the bigger thing to note is the decline of the Japanese offerings.
>more bloat
>luxobarge features
>moving upmarket
It's not so much Hyundai rising up to the competition, it's also the competition stooping to meet Hyundai halfway.

Is it ever worth it to modify a non-performance model car?
I have a regular 2007 Honda Civic, I'm guessing it would be a better idea to just sell it and spend extra getting a 2007 Civic Si? Maybe it's worth it if you have a Mk5/Mk6 Golf since it has a 2.5L I5 whereas the GTI has a 2.0L I4.
How many miles are on yours and what condition is it in? I have an 07 Civic. I went for a $750 Honda Factory Performance (HFP) suspension upgrade when my stock suspension became shit around 130k miles. Amazingly worth it; felt confident throwing that shittub around canyons. Installing a 22 mm rear sway bar (up from 11) next which was $200. We have a ~$2k supercharger kit available for the R18 engine, but at that point, get an Si unless you want to get weird.
Every mod will impact an Si much better, but if you're stuck with your R18, put better suspension on it, some summer tires, RSB, and that's it. Don't bother with much else.
I just helped my friend buy a 2008 Si coupe and they are very different cars. Much more worth spending money on. Just make sure not to get one with paint fade. Holy fuck, all that paint fade.
>>17819932
>Is it ever worth it to modify a non-performance model car?
Nope. If you want to modify an 8th gen civic, yes, start with the Si.
btw when you sell it don't expect it to be worth as much as a stock one, no matter what type of modifications you did to it. You know unless you bring it back to stock and sell off all the parts.

Mine is an automatic with 150,000km.
I'm not seriously interested in doing anything to it, I'm just curious to see if there are any cars where the base model has decent tuning potential.
Been thinking about these cars a lot lately.

There's an '09 Lacrosse Super with under 100k miles for $5500 near me.
Convince me not to get this. A cozy, snowflake highway cruiser with 303 hp and 323 tqs sounds pretty good for the price.
