Girlfriends co-worker took me and her for a drive in her STI. Never had so much fun in a car, and now I can't even get in my own car without a feeling of regret (Genesis Coupe 2.0T Automatic). It will be paid off next month, and I'm itching to get something as fast, or faster than one. The thing is, I put $1k down on a Tesla 3, and know how god-speed those electric cars are. Should I just wait for the Tesla, or buy something else? If so, what would be faster/better than an STI? Focus RS? The Elantra Sport was pretty fun too, and LAP3 is promising an additional 80HP from a tune, but it might be too heavy.

Jackass, you should have known what you were buying

Hey Alex, how's life?
Also how's Darrell, your wife's son
>>16929133
Who is this Steve????
What is this /o? I live on a military installation and have never seen this type of vehicle before and it was just casually parked outside an office building. I didn't get out and take detailed pics in fear of some armored soldier getting out and waving a weapon at me.
Another pic

Wanna pray game truck edition?
>>16928798
That's an Oshkosh M-ATV of some kind. Probably new build production.
What is your opinion on the 1. Gen TT Quattro?
I'm looking for something sporty for European standards for preferably around 5k€ and I saw a decent amount of those with good mileage. Obviously they're fairly odd looking but in my opinion by lowering the car a bit and putting on some sweet wheels it looks real good.
Also I understand that a Miata ist most definetly way more fun to drive but I'd really like more HP because I do lots of Autobahn driving and it would be my daily.
>>16928746
>understeer
>wrong wheel drive
just get an e30 or e46.
>>16928746
TT is basically a worse version of pic related in pretty much every regard
if you want a better tt, buy a golf
>>16928770
It is actually quite famous for being a deathmachine due to lift off oversteer.
>just get an e30 or e46.
e30s are ridiculously expensive in Germany and the e46s are all driven by Turks so the insurance is twice as expensive as for the TT.
>>16928776
Actually the MK5 GTI would cost me about 2-3k€ more and it is slower in almost every way, pic related the TT is right. I also do not mind the TT being the worse version of a car that is twice as expensive.
>Left lane going 80mph?
>One car left behind me on the left passing?
>Better just cut in front of him at 60 instead of waiting half a second
>Oh you wanted to pass? Sorry, now I'm doing 61mph to pass the other truck doing 60
>Want to exist within 15 car lengths of me? Too bad, fuck you, fuck your hood and fuck your windshield
GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE LEFT LANE
>>16928711
it's not your road, didn't they teach you to share. Also common courtesy isn't common anymore. Also why do you fucks get in the passing fast most left lane and set your cruse control at the speed limit thinking your some God controlling traffic. left lane is the asshole lane.
>>16928725
Its illegal for trucks to use the left lane when you only have 2 lanes to work with in some states
>>16928725
Really it's just the last one that triggers me, I just replaced a fucking windshield on a "new" car and had a ton of dents and chips on my hood on my last one. It's not even like I'm tailgating; I'd leave so much of a gap people would get annoyed and cut in front of me but at that distance I'd still get hit with rocks
>I like all cars no matter what brand or type
>"JDM"
Judging cars by bodystyle or brand actually is retarded though. Judge them by their individual merits.
Is this a good deal?
I think so. I was lookingat a 14-16 optima too, for a cheap commuter I cant put 20k-30k miles per year on. Good gas mileage, nice size, available in manual, nav, backup cam and leather? They're great cars under 15k
>>16928376
>Kia for 13k
>not civic for 3k

>dad takes it to autozone
>brand new battery
>come home, still won't start without jump
>take it to a mechanic
>"your terminal is loose lol no big deal"
>spend $130 for something I could've fixed for free
Why does autozone like to push this bullshit narrative that the people they hire are knowledgeable in cars, when in reality they know dick? I mean come on, at least McDonald's doesn't pretend the people working in their stores aren't literal trash. This is getting ridiculous. In fact the asshole probably knew the problem and didn't tell my dad because muh commission.
>now I know the problem after wasting money TWICE
>it should have been obvious (to other people, not me)
>it's everyone elses fault
Life must be difficult with that attitude. Maybe you should stop blaming everything on other people and learn simple problem solving.
>>16926799
That would be a pretty easy mistake to make if you're a retard, always test for voltage drop at the termnals desu, I've taken that up as a habit and it's been very useful.
>>16926819
Yeah it is his fault. The guy swaps out battery, what every fucking day? How do you not notice that? But then these bullshit autozone commercials come on TV, hur dur come to autozone we know ours shit over here. Bull fucking shit
Whats your bucket list car?
Just fuck me right up the ass, I want corn now.
I drive it as a dd.
I'm not ambitious.
I'm completely retarded to cars but I can't escape needing to drive one any longer (I know how to operate a manual but I haven't driven in almost 4 years.) I'm also not good with cars in general.
Given this info, which beginner car is likely to keep me alive in case of an accident? Will there be any difference or is it just the looks? Pls respond
>>16926240
Chevy cruze
Just about any SUV/Sedan/Crossover/NotASportsCar from at least 2005 will protect your retarded self adequately.
Then again if you're this concerned for your safety then maybe you should just go ahead and kill yourself.
Or, better idea, buy a cheap as fuck sports car that way you either have to learn to drive or will die when you fail to do so.
I recommend a C5/C4 Corvette or maybe some 80s Porsche like a 924, 944, 928, 968.
Or you could just find any early 2000s Mercedes for cheap as fuck and ruin your life.
Or
Or or or or or
Fuck off faggot

>Just about any SUV/Sedan/Crossover/NotASportsCar from at least 2005 will protect your retarded self adequately.

This is all I needed to hear.
What drink goes best with your car?
Fruit juice and miatas
I plan on importing a Commodore at some point in the future.
Opium-infused white grapefruit juice.
