Gs500 a shit cuckboi
What are your thoughts on the Chevy HHR? Kind of a freak of a vehicle. Smaller SUV that gets 30+ MPG and looks kind of cool. Thinking about picking one up as a daily driver.
Garbage material and build quality. It's GM's PT Cruiser. Stop falling for Detroit's retro bait.
if you are not a manlet cuck, it is the most uncomfortable car you will ever drive. fuck this thing. shitty quality materials too.

What in the fuck did they mean by this?
BIG FUCKING BARGE BECAUSE FUCK YOU PEASANTS
are those the dimensions of the cock your mum is riding on OP?
I saw one of those the other day, it's really an impressive machine.
Is the small bock the best engine ever made?
big block is best block
never forget it op

I don't know. Never heard of the "Small Bock". Sounds like shit desu.
its hard to hate

is it possible to make a clean burning reliable 2 stroke? direct injection seems obvious but what else can be done?

>is it possible to make a clean burning reliable 2 stroke? direct injection seems obvious but what else can be done?
If you burn oil in your gas probably nevet. You do know 2 strokes mix gas with oil right?
It's possible, but very difficult. Also, you may never be able to get them as clean as a 4 stroke, but they can do alright.
It's very possible to use a catalyst on a 2 stroke, but you have to be very careful of dumping unburned gas and oil on it. I could see a manufacturer doing it, but anyone who put a power commander on it would probably melt it.
O2 sensors are a pain in the ass on 2 strokes. You almost need a full emissions analyzer to properly tune one by afr. Because of fresh air/fuel in the exhaust, O2 sensors get messed up. Still, it's possible to run closed loop with O2, but the values will be way off from the actual engine afr.
To really make any more gains you probably need to start looking at real inventive exhaust valve designs and such.
I guess with di someone with enough money could try to make a lean burn 2 stroke, which would be interesting, since it wouldn't have the same problem with NOx emissions 4 strokes do.
Also, there are a lot of small touches like electronic throttle that can help real world emissions and fuel economy just a little bit more.

is that how a detroit worked? i know they had 4 exhaust valves per cyl

There's no free ride here partner. WTF am I gooogle?
>this is an american """mini"""
BRAVO AMERILARDS
Why is it american?
Honestly wish I had gotten an Expedition or Excursion sometimes. I don't get the hate for big heavy cars/ trucks. Gas isn't bad here, but they sure as fuck make life easier. And I don't hoon around like a 19 year old at midnight anymore. And muh american TORKâ„¢ gets me off the line pretty quick even in a ~3 ton block of steel.
Why cuck yourself in a compact clown car. Why cuck yourself in a wagon instead of small SUV? Seriously. Unless you're autocrossing and romping through intersection, DRIVER FEELZ and body roll are negligible.
And gas aint shit. 16 mpg doesn't even phase me when gas was $4 a gallon. I used to drive a lifted TJ that got like 12.
It's perfect
It's shit

What are your thoughts on Alfa Romeo? I'm looking to pick up either a 159 or a GT fairly soon. Would this be a good idea?
>>16983105
They are not bad, but finding one which won't require some major servicing might be hard. Most likely you will have to do something suspension related. If you do decide to get one, get a diesel, as they are far more reliable, that is, if you can't afford getting 3.2 liter petrol version. Also rule of thumb, if you do buy one you better have good spare budget just in case. Something like half of car price in case of GT and in case of 159 probably 1/3 or 1/4 of car price for maintenance. Generally my Alfa has never left me on the road thou I did have some EGR issues during winter... but spending 50$ on new EGR valve (old one was regenerated once and metal was simply burned, so had to change it) fixed issue. Mostly quite reliable but small things might come up. Fantastic to drive, every time I'm driving I notice myself smiling a bit. Cornering is fun. Oh and if you consider GT get Q2 version, the Q2 differential makes huge difference.

Not even once
They are unreliable shit. Only admired by autistic fanboys and FCA shills. Do not buy.
Greetings.
I want to do a USA roadtrip in the near future. Im thinking two weeks.
Any recommendations on car rental companies?
Also, tips on where to go?
leave this place and don't ever come back
Take I-90 from Boston to Seattle
Take I-5 from Seattle to LA
Take I-10 from LA to Jacksonville
Take I-95 from Jacksonville to Boston
The middle is empty and absolutely fucking boring unless you want to drive in a straight line through corn fields for several days. The east is pretty populated and not worth writing home about in terms of weather and scenery. If you want "The American Road Trip Experience" TM, stay on the west coast and in the Rocky Mountains. Also get off the highways and take small roads, you won't see anything on a highway except for tarmac and traffic.
>>16984270
Also disregard this route, it takes approximately 113 hours of straight driving according to Google Maps, which is 12 days of 10 hours driving each. Basically you'd be hurrying along boring Interstates for two weeks to just complete the circle without seeing anything of the backroads and culture. Don't try to circle the entire country in that time frame.

Good thinking, OP.
good thread
how are these as dd's? is there a way to hide the cop car look so you dont trigger all the surrounding drivers? what about aftermarket performance parts?
There's plenty of parts available for them, but like you said, expect other drivers to act retarded when they see you behind them.
>>16981955
awesome dd's
but get performance out of your head, these are workhorses and commuters, you arent gonna be doing hektik skids or super speeds in this.
for the cop thing, idk if it bugs you do much just stickers on the car, hang shit from your rear view, put a new grill on it... idk, people not driving like shitheads around you should be a bonus.

there ya go, go waste some money...
>TFW 18 SS gets 10-speed
>Already faster than GT350
> 8-speed already sub 4 to 60
> 8-speed already breaking 11s quarter
What will those 2 extra gears do?
Increase mpg by 0.5
>>16981952
let you go 120mph at 1500rpm, or let you have really aggressive gearing without limiting top speed.

I have two terrible habits, maryjane and fast food. Between the two I probably spend $1000 a month - I know that's ridiculous - both are daily habits.
Now for the sake of my health, I need a lifestyle change. If I quit both, I could pick up a loaded 17 SS 1LE, pay insurance, and still have enough money to eat out occasionally or smoke a blunt on the weekend.
Is this bullshit logic to /o/? Is buying new never OK, even when it's a "healthy" choice?
Im curious, what do you do for a living
>>16981573
Learn how to budget. And quit being retarded. You can afford a new car and weed.
>>16981573
You can buy new if you are comfortable with the depreciation hit you'll take early on
