>Spending all your capital on a depreciating status symbol rather than having it work for you and appreciate in a nicely diversified portfolio.
Buy a civic or something, because that is literally all you need for daily life. If you really want to splurge, spend an extra 2-3K and get a golf. Anything beyond that is an extremely stupid use of capital.
>>16986920
While I agree with this sentiment, I like older cars more.
>>16986920
You can say that about any hobby. Don't live outside your means, but don't live a joyless life either.

Any love for the Fiero?
There's a trucker I know that comes to my place sometimes, he rebuilds Fieros thinking they'll be worth a fortune someday.
>>16986821
Fuck yeah dude. I'm kind of a pleb, so I don't have much to say, but I sure like the look of it. The '88 actually my favorite, and it looks like that's what you posted!
I'm more of a Firebird man myself but the Fieros are still solid aesthetically
So I've got this rounded bolt I can not for the life of me get off. Its the top one holding my thermostat housing to where the thermostat sits. The guy who did this previously fucked up and made it impossible to get off. With very little room to get at it with anything, I've attempted
>Extractor socket
>visegrips
>Ratchets from every angle
>PB penetrating oil
The problem is its so rounded my extractor bit can't even snag it. I was wondering if anyone has any methods that would work? Any idea on how to fill the spaces between the socket and the bolt it's self? I'm mad desperate to get it off. I've tried practically everything short of taking off my radiator.
>>16986809
Jb weld and a spider vice. Should come right out
>>16986820
I don't have a spider vise but I may try JB welding it to a socket
Take off your rad, you lazy cunt. or cut a slot with zip disc and flathead screwdriver
>tfw have to buy a car and not a car guy
how do i get redpilled on cars besides reading and posting on /o/
Best way to get red pilled is to buy a $3k - $6k older ''luxury'' car and then learn to hate the fucking thing as you can't afford the repair bills on foreign parts and repairs until you just suck it up and buy a fucking shitbox made of nintendium that won't let you down until you can buy a lightly used (< 5 years to new car) that you can enjoy and is still fun without exorbitant repair costs.
Just get a shitbox civic si.
>>16986631
you can't buy a reliable used car because you never know the car history
>>16986631
I have 5 words for you
Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor
why do so many people idolize this slow shitbox?
>>16986300
Unless you're a pro racing driver speed doesn't matter.
Memes. No seriously, cars aren't meme cars just because they're popular (Miata, Vette etc.) they're meme cars because the only reason anybody gives a fuck about them is a reason that has nothing to do with the car itself
muh cartoons
You are at a red light. You've already come to a complete stop and are just sitting on the brakes waiting for your turn to go.
Do you:
A) Step on the brakes just enough to keep your car from rolling forward
B) Step on the brakes hard to firmly lock your vehicle in place
And why do you do so?
I'm in n with the clutch out and when the other side turns yellow I put it in first

So I might have the opportunity to get '03 F-250 6.0 Diesel for cheap or free. I know there's a lot of issues with the 6.0 but this would be a temporary vehicle for me and it only has 36k miles on it. I would use it for probably a year at the most before selling it for something else. Would it be worth it dealing with the 6.0 for at most a year?
Pic very related
Why are you bothering to ask. You already know it's a good deal.
