The C8 Corvette is rumoured to be mid engined. Why do I allow rumours about upcoming car models I'll never own ruin my day? The C7 Corvette is a continuation of the great evolutionary process the car's always had, now they've gone and hit the abort button some 55 years later.
idiot
there will still be a front engined vette and the mid engined will be a namechange
why do you even care, if the car has had such a great evolutionary process, upgrading to mid engine shouldn't surprise you
>The C8 Corvette is rumoured to be mid engined
Every Corvette new gen has been rumored to be mid engined for decades, and the trend will continue since people always read the clickbait
>now they've gone and hit the abort button
No, they haven't done anything but continue to make FR Corvettes
Poorfag here buying first car. My options are
>2002 camry xle 155k $3000
>2001 acura 3.5rl 150k $2900
The acura has from what Ive read abysmal gas mileage but last at least to 300k before problems arise.
The camry isnt quite as luxurious as the acura (no sunroof or aux etc) but is also supposed to be near as reliable and has better as mileage.
>>17001201
Seems like you want the Acura. It won't matter you won't look even remotely rich in either. I'd get the Camry if it's a v6.
Better not to get the Acuras around that year, they have transmission problems.
If you had to get an Acura get a TL Type-S or something.
>>17001399
Im actually leaning more towards the camry. I like the way it looks more. I car more about the aux cord than the sunroof but you can use the cassette for that. But if the acura might be the better choice. Also just noticed the camry looks like its had its front bumper replaced for repainted. Hard to tell for certain though.
So a while back I brought an old truck I had in to a shop to have a bunch of work done (pick related). I came to an agreement that they would put in a rebuilt 400ci sbc, new front and rear diff, straighten out any imperfections in the body and paint the truck. some time has past since this fucker has had my truck and I find on an international harvester forumn parts to my truck for sale, like the whole chassis, engine, tranny, everything. I flipped out, went to his shop, my truck is literally in pieces and he says get this thing outta here I decided I'm not doing the job. Lots of shit missing like the gas tank, mirrors, body mounts were just cut off with a torche. Cops are saying it's a civil matter and this cunt just closed down his fucking chop shop. I realized I'm pretty much shit out of luck with the $8,000 I gave him. How would you guys go about feeling whole again. I'm not trying to go to prison but 4chan seems to be a place to dig for creative revenge ideas. I went online and signed him up to be an official member of the KKK, it didn't give me as much satisfaction as I thought it would. I heard if I throw a mattress in his pool the weight of it with he water will require a crane to tug it out. Any ideas on how to make this fuckers life truly difficult. In before you're a fucking dipshit
His is what it looks like after "his frame off restoration" the body isn't attached to the chassis and that chassis he put my body on is some 1979 piece of shit, not sure what he was doing there

The engine isn't just a more stressed hellcat engine? gotta give em props for that one. this kinda has my attention. now if only that engine could be put in a sporty car. i'm thinking a something mid-engine like that Saleen 5S5 Raptor.
This car could be much better if the chassis was updated. could probably put down fearsome 0-60 times and corner well.
Wasn't around to experience a time when Muscle cars being done up like this was more common.

You spend $12k at a community college and get an associates degree in a science field.
>buy classic hard to find car that is literally going to be a high value collectible one day

why do people do this?

>>17001050
>>17001055
Why not?
So why does Acura continue to shoot itself in the foot and believe they're a "performance" brand?
To be fair they (have) a Halo performance car they just don't have the RWD Sedans that the others have. That's never really been Acura's thing anyway.
>>17001046
I'm not a yank, redpill me on Acura.
I thought it was the name of all Hondas in America? Or is it only the high-end ones?
>>17001104
Fancy Hondas
Aldo the MDX which is their bread and butter and is actually a really nice mid-luxury SUV
Undercuts the competition and comes with more features standard
Super Handling AWD is also an Acura thing, the torque vectoring for that system was good enough for Audi to copy and incorporate into Quattro
Which country makes the best cars, and why is it Britain?

Dear /o/,
Where can I find episodes of old old top gear?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqWqF56aZtc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnlQNwpofMo
All that I have been able to find are segments and clips on youtube. Anyone know of a good place to watch full episodes?
that twingo looks so cute in that picture like it is happy to have a little roof over it
>>17000993
i pirated every single episode of top gear off torrentleech but they are normally invite only
im pretty sure you can find most if not all the same episodes from the same release group through thepiratebay
just make sure you have a good peerblocker with lists

Anybody on /o/ have experience with ex-police cars?
I've started seeing auctioned Dodge Chargers and it seems at first thought a good way to get a pretty powerful vehicle:
>hemi
>reinforced frame
>autistic spotlight
>strong suspension
Plus
>the knowledge that you are instilling fear in all nearby drivers that think you're an undercover cop
You can fuck with people
>pulling up on some asshole going 100 down the freeway so they piss their pants
I want to know what experiences y'all have had owning/operating them, and if its an actual deal.
>All that extra weight is gonna wear shit down faster
>probably owned by a fat cop department (thousands of hours of ass sweat in those seats)
> Ones used in areas with snow are gonna be fucking rusted
let me know what you know
>>17000467
Don't fucking do it. The civilian versions are shit so ones beat to shit by cops are even worse. Buy literally anything else.
>>17000493
What about the crowne vics? they made them up to 2011
>>17000569
Civilian versions are fine.
Considering buying this land yacht. 1981 Lincoln Town Car. $11,000 AUD.
Shared the Panther platform, so spare parts shouldn't be too hard to find - I'm told.
It'd be my only vehicle but I'm a full-time worker and part-time student at a university that I can easily catch the bus to, so I wouldn't be relying on it for anything other than fucking around.
I have no mechanical experience but I want to learn.
Haven't talked to the owner or inspected it so obviously purchase is conditional on getting a good price, it running, no major repairs needed, blah blah blah, but from the ad it looks like it's in fine condition and only needs some reupholstering for the headliner.
Thoughts?
I've spent my whole life driving dad's big four wheel drives and sedans so I'm not too concerned about the barginess of it.

>>17000489
That's 8k USD, and cars are way more expensive here in general. A new Mazda 3 is 22k AUD which is 16.5k USD.
I thought it was a pretty good price, am I wrong?
>>17000509
8k is way too much. I've seen comparable LTD's for 2.5k.
If you got 8k to spend on a landbarge look at older cadillacs and continentals
