How good is paint matching nowadays? My car's paint got its piss slapped by a another car today and if it didnt hit the metal fender I wouldnt care to repaint at all until i left uni since this is the second time it happened in a year but it did so I want to know if I should just repaint the whole car or just the quarter and bumper.

So I am brainstorming money making ideas and I think I found one but I am not sure if it's retarded so I'ma run it by /O/ first. Advertising and marketing aside, do you think people would be willing to pay for a mobile wheel steam cleaning service? As in I show up to their place, steam clean/<1500psi pressure wash just the wheels and tires and the inner fender and that's all. I don't think that service should cost more than 25 or 30 bucks per car but it costs almost nothing to do.
If they can afford mobile services odds are they don't have cheap wheel finishes so the spray shouldn't be an issue and it's way fucking easier than actually cleaning cars. From every video I've seen it gets all of the dust out of your sidewalls and really blackens up the rubber for a nice finish.
Also I propose a car washing/detailing thread. I washed my car with dish soap and wash cloths and we need a thread about better advice so people don't hire some faggot like me to touch their cars.

I swear by Dawn as a degreaser but my tires are under 80 bucks a piece and my car is crusty so it's not necessary. If I had to rock low profile premium tires like most OEM 17 inch wheels id want clean sidewalls and no brake dust. Hand scrubbing isn't gonna do that.

I wouldn't work out of that lol, if I did these wheels would get recycled and I would write off some RPF1s as a tax expense. Don't tempt me. The richest houses around with the nicest cars get landscaped by sweaty beaners driving around in greasy old Toyotas, they dont care what work vehicles park out front and would have a laugh if anything.

hey /o/, i've been considering buying a fa5 civic si because of the k20 motor but i don't know if i should. would it be worth it? because i don't really know the reliability of the engines at such high mileage since every civic si is a daily. so should i opt out and buy a more recent fb6 civic si with the k24 motor? or should i stick it out with the k20 and if so, has anyone driven the acura rsx type s? is it better or about the same as the fa5 civic si?

K24 has more low end torque than the K20. K24 is a great daily, but is not super rev happy so if you like screaming engines then go for a K20. The K series are practically indestructible.
The RSX Type S will basically drive like the FA5, but in coupe form. Not sure about the chassis code for the 8th gen coupe SI but it's basically the same car just in a nicer shell.

I own a 05 rsx-s and its fantastic. I like the interior and exterior far better than the SI's from 06 and up. Plus it's a hatchback and the gearing is a little higher and it has a bit more power (210bhp) but it lacks an lsd, but that's an easy fix.

Honda hybrid batteries dont last as well as toyota and ford hybrid batteries. However the hondas can be driven without the hybrid system i believe. Just check for codes, nigger rigging, and other obvious problems. Be aware that working on high voltage systems can be slightly dangrous if you have no idea what youre doing.
