No one talks about this car.
>is it as fast the FC?
>is it a good all-rounder, like the MX-5?
>how did this apex seal slut win an endurance race?
>>17007513
>no
>it's a rotary, fuck no
>endurance race engines just have to last as long as the race; it can just kill itself afterwards.
It does not have independent rear suspension, and its steering is not rack and pinion.
People only like this car because of nostalgia.
no

rotaries are good with racing and shit at everything else
What's the point of dding a fast car?

What is the best year/engine F-150?
I am buying a pickup truck and I was very happy with my last F-150 (a 1993 5.0L) and I want another one.
What in your opinion, Is the best year/engine F-150 made?
I want a newer one, so anything from 1997-current
>>17007460
The 4.6l is the most reliable. The 5.4 is still good but has problems sometimes
>>17007460
10th Gen is my favorite aesthetically, but they're prone to rust. 11th gens are fuck-huge and built like tanks.
You want that 5.0 all day long. Reliable as gas truck engines go outside Toyota, and the parts are cheap and produced in the millions. Fuck Ecoboost.
There's no such thing as a good F150. Get a 7.2L.
What is the most reliable and longest lasting car ever made?
>Requirements
>Must be a CAR....Not a truck or SUV
>Must be easy to work on and the manufacturer must respect the owners right to do their own maintenance
>Must be relatively new....Have airbags and modern comforts
>Must be fuel efficient and cheap to buy/run
I want to see if there's a car out there that will outlive me and the ret of my family if taken care of correctly.
So far......I feel that a base Toyota Yaris or Honda Fit are the best choices because of their simplicity and Nippon design
Your best choices aren't far off. Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris.
The old saying is true:
>performance
>reliability
>affordable
Pick 2
The Yaris and Fit picked their two and really do well in those regards.
It's kind of hard to tell if a car's incredibly long-lasting if it's relatively new, anon.

What happens to unsold, new cars?
Like, if you want to buy a car, you either buy a new model from the current year, or an old, but used, vehicle? Why do you never see a brand-new, never used car from like 2007 in any dealerships? What happens to those cars?
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-05-16/where-worlds-unsold-cars-go-die
They usually get heavily discounted by year's end and get sold. Sometimes a high performance car can sit on a lot for 2-3 years because the market is so small and usually the dealership is maximum Jew and refusing to negotiate. Also inventory can get shipped off to other dealerships where they are selling that model well. Keep in mind the economy is doing well and cars are selling pretty fast these days. When another economic collapse happens you'll see cars sitting around again. The mitsubishi Evo ended in 2015 and some lots still had them into 2017. The H2 Hummer sat in lots forever too.
>>17006941
I had a fat fuck at chevy try to convince me he was losing a grand on a 2017 Camaro SS so it was such a good deal that I should take it. Walked out and got a more expensive BMW at a cheaper price kek
Who else does their own spraypainting here?
>>17006835
Sup
I have a trunk lid that I'm going to use to replace the rusted one that's currently on my car but it needs to be painted and I'm thinking of trying to do it myself. Now I've never done automotive paint before so obviously it's going to end up looking like shit but my question is just how shit can I expect it to be?
>>17007132

I paint shit too
Just bought a car and the dealer managed to pull a fast one on me. Tested for leaks by driving around and it looked good, but this appeared after letting it sit for 3 hours. To be fair I had the ac on full blast and cold on a 40 minute drive back so it COULD be condensation. I am hoping it is but at this point I feel swindled. Biggest thing is the check engine light was on. Everyone I called about that said it just needed a tuneup since the engine wasn't shaking.
Then there are minor but still huge red flag problems like the driver door needs to be retumbled and the front fender is not on perfectly.
Its a fairly old avalon I got for under blue book a dealer sales at. The cost are adding up fast in the end.
Just how fucked am I?
>>17006617
jesus fucking christ m8, just check what the fucking code is
FUCK SAKE
>it COULD be condensation
Nigger, run your finger though the puddle and sniff. It'll be obvious then.
>Tested for leaks by driving around
Yeah that's how you do that.
>Dealer pulled a fast one
>I feel swindled
Pfff
What's your favorite car?
And why is it the BMW 135i i6, 3.0L, 300HP?
The E92 335i/M240i are better. I also can't get over how fucked up the 1 series proportions are
>>17006475
I just bought a 135i last month. 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, its pure amazing. Not to mention the car looks fucking great 10 years later. I also got all the ///M shit in it.
Who knows perhaps I'll even go pure /mischief/ and put an ///M badge on it.
The ZF Friedrickhoven 6 speed autotragic is actually amazing. Almost as good as the DSG and IMHO better than SMG which was shit at low revs. I looked it up and it actually 0-60s faster than the manual and it shifts nice and smooth with the paddles.
I'll miss the clutch but this transmission really is better.
>>17006502
>Falling for the 4door 335i meme
Yeah they may have the same engine, but the i135 series is light and quick.
I personally have the 2012 135i 7speed (I'm not a manual fag). yeah it's not the n54, but I have less issues with the N55. Also got a banging deal.
why are you driving a D/o/dge Charger yet?
I'm broke, and Mopar guys are weird.
Because I don't want to die when I turn the wheel
>>17006467
this meme is stupid, as if they are actually superboats that can't take a corner for their life. The only people who say this are people who have never driven one.
Why haven't you prepped your car for summer anon? Don't you love it?

So the fuel air mixture sensor in my 2005 Elantra (270k miles) is flaking out. I tried undoing the connector and using contact cleaner on it, and now I can't get it back together (nothing stuck in there, I checked).
So, should I fork out $180 for a new one, or get one from a junkyard? I'd like it fixed so that the check engine light turns off and I don't miss something more important.

Bump
just disassemble your dashboard and take out the light that says service engine. the o2 sensor is worthless

nice try Ford Cuck. A Fiesta ST would be limping home after getting its anus wrecked by that thing.
It's literally a Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo with a different body.
How do you settle on favorite car /o/?
There's so many cars that are great for so many different reasons I can never settle on one for more than a few days. Nothing seems to grab my attention violently. There's nothing I could keep a poster of in my room. But I love cars in general.
Am I the autism?
how old are you son? comes with time.
Side note but its important to realize that you can appreciate classic cars without owning them. I bought and sold and lost money on so many cause, when I could have just enjoyed them without owning them.
I get where you're coming from and I can't even pretend to care about a car I'll never be able to afford. Aside from that I just like successful jack of all trade cars that lean on the sports car/performance side or are sports cars but DDable. When I say jack of all trades, I don't mean tries to do everything and fails at all of it (veloster/CRZ) I mean handling, feels, looks, power, reliability, driver feedback, lacking absurdly high costs to own, well-designed and nice-looking interior, manual, comfortable etc.
Some examples that come to mind are the E92 335i, M240i, M2/M3, 997/991 911, 987/981 Cayman,

Doing all of those to at least an acceptable extent*
