Ahahahaa American standards.

I guess that's not light when the only cars you're allowed to drive are 1 liter disel clowncars

Eurocucks BTFO
Was this the best hot hatch of last 5 years?
>400lbs/ft torques
>250 HP
>53-47 weight distribution
>really low center of mass
>seating for 4
>dirt cheap
>124 mpge
>sleeper; isn't riced from factory for facebook faggots
>rigid chassis
>camaro handleing
>bare bones solid interior, no fake wood or leather
>great aero
Did I miss anything?
Truly a great car
>>17036122

Why br/o/s hate hatchbacks?
>pull onto a nice road for some hooning
>retard truck driver pulls out in front of me and proceeds to go 10 under the limit the entire time
Can we agree that truck drivers should be exterminated?

When have you dun fucked up /o/?
>finished painting rims yesterday
>parallel into stormdrain
Fuck me I have never guttered my rims until now
Also they [used too] look much better in person
A little different than myself fucking up but a few years ago I bought a used C5z from a steelership. The deal was completely finished and as the they were driving the car to me, the driver turned too sharply and hit the front drivers side tire right into the curb. The tire then popped and the rim had giant dent in it. The looks on everyone's faces was pretty funny, except mine.
>>17035374
The looked so good for...24 hours
At least I know what paint to use...
I just get beefier tires to protect my rims.
Why is this thing so expensive?
>4cyl
>237 hp
>4.1 second 0-60
>only 160mph
>1.7L
>2,500lbs
>ties with a cayman on the track
>cloth seats standard
>yellow exterior, mandatory leather seats (2 of them) $4k extra
>carbon interior trim $2k
>colored stitching $1,500
>"race suspension" and spoiler $2,300
Priced one out, not all the options, just the larger wheels. $60,000 before TTnL..........
Look, it's pretty. But that is fucking crazy. No wonder I rarely see them in the wild.

Not to mention the inside is all cheap plastic and if you are above 5 foot 7 you will feel cramped
What do you guys think about my custom made shifter knob? I couldn't seem to find any like this online, despite the fact that everyone thought it was fuckin' rad in Mad Max, so I just made one myself.
Only problem is, right now the shift bar threads right into the bone itself, not into any kind of metal threads. But I'm working on getting that figured out.
Also, post your badass shift knobs!
That looks really fucking gay if I'm being for reals

How awesome would it be to see Toyota convert their shitbox Corolla iM into a beastly TRD Hot Hatch? Maybe with a turbo, independent rear, and tightened sways to give a good ride? How about 180-205 HP?

Volkswagen AG is making progress settling U.S. legal claims from its emission-cheating scandal, but one challenge looms unresolved: What to do with the hundreds of thousands of diesel cars it is being forced to buy back?
The German automaker agreed last year to buy back about 500,000 diesels that it rigged to pass U.S. emissions tests if it can’t figure out a way to fix them. Except for a handful of 2015 models, VW dealers can’t sell the cars until — and unless — the company comes up with repairs to satisfy regulators. The costs for buying back or scrapping tainted diesel cars are part of the 22.6 billion euros ($23.9 billion) VW earmarked for expenses related to the scandal so far. VW Chief Executive Officer Matthias Mueller told journalists last month he's not aware of any further significant charges.
In the meantime, the company is hauling them to storage lots, such as ones at an abandoned NFL stadium outside Detroit, the Port of Baltimore and a decommissioned Air Force base in California.
About 15,000 VW owners are showing up at dealerships each week now to sell their Jettas, Golfs, Passats, Beetles and Audi A3s to the carmaker in exchange for payments of as much as $40,000. The agreement dictates that the cars can’t be put back on the road without being brought into environmental compliance, something that is almost certainly impractical for most of them. Even exporting them to countries with lesser emissions standards is forbidden.
In all, around 288,000 owners or lessees had opted for a buyback or early lease termination as of Feb. 18, of which 138,000 had been completed, according to the latest update filed with a court overseeing the settlement. Another 52,000 owners have said they want to keep their cars and are awaiting a fix.

Ehat a bunch of retards. Hold on to your massively devalued piece of shit in hopes they'll neuter it and make it even worse? For what purpose?
>>17036368
>For what purpose?
Presumably, they like the cars. There aren't a lot of great diesel passenger cars on the US market, and people get used to the range/mileage.
I'd assume some number of the people awaiting a fix are either hoping that they can get an AdBlue system installed that won't cripple the car's performance, or they're hoping to flash the car back to its "factory" configuration after getting the "fix" logged and passing smog.
