What are /o/'s thoughts on W203s?
About to pull the trigger on a 2007 C230 Sport. Looks like pic related. Engine is out of range of dreaded balance shaft issue.
I test drove a C230 with a manual once. The later 2.5 V6 one. It was nice. Not fast at all, but nice.
I currently have a 2007 c280, I really like it. Might upgrade to a new c300 soon
>>17045196
Forgot to add, my previous car was a 2002 c240, also an excellent and reliable car
Boy, GM, you really fucked up that bumper...

wew when is the next flight ?
I just bought my first car, a 2010 Toyota Corolla CE with Enhanced Convenience Package (stability control, cruise control, auto headlights, etc)
It had 99,150km when I got it and everything was great, maintenance up to date and whatnot.
What do I do now? It's my first car, I live in the city and my parents have never had a car since they work 5 minutes from home.
How does one become a "car guy" or find a decent reliable mechanic for scheduled maintenance?
Also, I'm 24, never been insured before and my rate is $228 CAD/month, is that good?
pic related, my car
>>17044799
>how does one become a "car guy"
>drives a corolla
corollas are just appliances, so the only thing you can do is your oil changes and other service according to the manual
if you want to actually have some fun driving you need to ditch that car and get something else
>>17044824
Sweet, so low maintenance vehicle?
I have an engineering degree but I can't find a decent job so I think I'm gonna stick with this wonderful appliance for a while.
>>17044824
Every car is an appliance.
>>17044799
The car is only as interesting as the driver
I know this post seems like the dumbest thing already, but hey fug it. Is there anything that can be done about someone who won't sell a car, yet neglects it? Do you know any social engineering tactics? There is this asian guy with a 190e cosworth who doesnt say no, but never says yes to selling it. He is flakey. I also don't want to harass the dude. He is also storing the car at someone elses property. I confirmed that thing has been sitting, unmoved an inch, for at least 9 years, maybe 10. Uncovered in east coast weather. Why won't this RAT sell the fucking car or just say no and tell me why? I love these cars and there is one rotting away 5 mins from my house :( is this some sort of sick asian tradition(WasabiCars)? I mean I know they cut up live frogs and eat them, but this is worse.
Have you made him an offer? Cash is king. If he won't at least negotiate after you throw out a number, then he's likely saving it to sell in the future (and quite obviously doing a shitty job of that).
>>17044367
no offer but I did say, I know what it is and I have money. he just said ill think about it. Says call him later and never picks up. I should just offer him a crazy amount.
>>17044378
>I did say, I know what it is and I have money
Now that's an offer he can't refuse
Whether anybody cares or not, and I know it's not, I can't stand to see what this shithole of a board has become. The sharp decline of average post quality has gotten to the point where a thread that isn't majorly shit up with 14 year olds actually stands out.
Time and time again, everybody on here proves they know -just- enough about cars to "defend" their retarded opinions with "fact"-based shitposting but it's more than clear nobody actually knows what they're talking about, it's just a bunch of children who spray diarrhea all over a thread to show everybody how much they fit in with other underage retards. Before people knew how to tell and take a joke, but now EVERYTHING is "le epic bantz" used in place of actual arguments and it reminds me of a middle school class who still finds writing "niggerboobs" on bathroom stalls funny
For those of you who made /o/ what it was in its earlier iterations of not being a complete shithole, I thank you for good times, however until Hiroshimoot hires a batch of mods that realize rule 3 even exists, that place is long gone
>lol see you next week
Been gone a month and it's been nice.
>>17044179
>Niggerboobs
Kek
>>17044204
It honestly wasn't a good comparison since it's a little amusing in a stupid way. It's more like how /pol/ calls everybody "sjw nu male leftist cucks" as an actual argument
>>17044179
>posts the shitposting frog
>writes a diatribe about why le 4chan is le awful now (reminder that you have rose tinted glasses, oldcuck)
really engages ones 'rons
what are y'all favorite car related YouTubers? i found this guy who just started up a channel about fixing his MR2 that has a badass widebody kit, he says in his other video that he has other vehicles he'll be working on. the quality of his vids are pretty high quality for someone who's never done them before y'all should check him out.
I also enjoy cleetus mcfarland and boostedboiz. i hate haggard garage though.

Have you ever hit an animal larger then a cat with your car?
Any damage?
What would you do if say you hit a deer and it wasn't dead?
ran over a deers leg in my motorbike, that was the best i could do to swerve out of the way. fuckers are suicidal
I hit a deer on cruise doing 60mph in my Explorer.
Fucking felt like hitting a brick wall,
Airbags didn't go off but it felt like they should have, Bent my bumper into the tire and blew the tire. Deer was DOA, His brains were all over my bumper and the highway
AAA pulled my bumper out with their winch, Then I put a new tire on and drove another 200 miles home.
Replaced the bumper but it bent the frame and the new bumper looks like I hit something. Aslo the headlight housing is kind loose now
There were multiple occasions where I plowed through a bunch of seagulls in a parking lot. Never felt so good. I took a couple girls through the parking lot one time and killed those birds. The girl in the back seat was yelling while the girl in the passenger seat was losing her shit laughing. Totally worth killing animals in a shitty elantra though, right?
What's the general /o/pinion on the Hyundai Tiburon? In my local market I can get one for really cheap, almost too cheap for a cheap sporty car. Are they shitboxes? Other suggestions?
It's a FWD Hyundai
Take a wild guess
>>17043890
It looks too good for its own good.
Basically it's an econobox with a sports car body.
>>17043890
high school babby's first totalled "sports car"
I'm seriously considering the Nismo for my first "fun" car. Would like to hear your thoughts on it. Would be my first manual. I have read that the clutch is tricky on this car, but it shifts smoother than the regular 370Z's. I also really like the red paint with the red Nismo accents.
i want one too but i only hear bad things so idk
>>17043819
I've read the issues about the clutch and the master cylinder but they appear to be under warranty, other than that there really isn't much that stands out to me.
I'll just ceramic pro the whole car or get it wrapped with ppf, to protect the thin paint
>>17043814
Expensive, heavy, old.
Opinions on the VW Beetle?
a cute
girls fucking love them
the new ones are really nice
i'm a dude and i'd drive one as long as i had another car
The few ones I had a chance to test were in pretty bad conditions to be quite honest, so I can't really tell. They seem pretty resistant to time from what I've been able to gather, and the repair/part cost isn't high where I live, but I wouldn't have one.
What am I in for?
>>17043283
Just get a civic for 3k instead.
rust
just a regular fiesta? nothin but bad times ahead
What happened to the active moderation we had several weeks ago? Shitposts were getting deleted swiftly then it all went downhill to where we are today. DO YOUR FUCKING JOB YOU LAZY HOTPOCKETS
Was a good feel when shitposts were getting deleted, they need to stay on top of this shit board
Alphonse literally has the hotpockets in his pocket
>>17042546
Alphonse's autism has reduced significantly, we just need active moderation to take care of idiots thinking that shitposting is the only way here
