Why do people pretend that they get dazzled and dazed by foglights?.

highbeams I understand. but c'mon at people who whine at foglights.

in cloudy, rainy weather where will have my lights on to make myself more visible to other cars around I just leave it on parking lights (so the rear lights come on for people behind me). and have my foglights on for oncoming people .

how does it make it any different form having your regular headlights on as you normally would?

are they just jelly cos they don't have foglights?

Fog lights on during any other time besides fog is douche move.
>>
>>17059589
why?

they're just lights FFS. it's not like they're highbeams which I can understand being annoying
>>
>>17059584
I agree anon. I've never been blinded by foglights.

So I found a 3000GT for 800 Canadian pesos. The thing is it has a seized engine and I know pretty much nothing about cars. The listing has been up for a while so I can probably talk the guy down if it isn't sold already.
I want to learn more about mechanics and if I can fix it I could learn to drive a manual as well.

Would it be a waste of money to try and fix it myself? Or is it too big of a job for someone who knows nothing about mechanics?

Whats the best combo wrenches out there for at home car work. Was thinking a set of Facom 440's, but is there anything else recommended?

Let me hear those shills

Snap-On

Go for the 440's, better comfort than snap on and much better priced for home use. They're ratchet spanners are also very good.

Craftsman. unconditional lifetime warrantee on hand tools. may not be the best built, but they're far better than most Chinese crap and can be swapped out for free wherever they sell the tool.

What SUV is /o/ approved? Got 40K to spent and am looking for 2013 and above. Has to be comfy and good looking. Pic not related

For race reasons I'm putting my exhaust immediately outside of my hood, should I put an exhaust rain cap on it? Otherwise known as a flapper?

Pic for my attention, it's not mine but it's near what I have.

Cum on you?

So, are there any advantages at all to buying from a used car dealership versus a private party?

not unless you want your wife to enter in an elicit sexual relationship with a stranger.
>>
>>17058793
just kidding. in all seriousness and in the name of good advice you can swindle the banker clowns using gap coverage

then you can just wreck your car when you want a new one. fuck the police.
>>
Dealerships usually offer the best used cars but you have to pay more.

Private parties are basically everything. You can get a shit car at a low price or a good car at a low price.

Why are Europoors so bitter on this board? Why can't they just enjoy drag racing and V8s like Burgers or Strayans do?

>>
>>17058718

We actually have corners on our roads. And we can drive manual gearboxes. And we are not so easily amused by drag racing where all you do is stomp on a pedal.
And we have plenty of V8s.
And our 4-cyl engines overpower your V6s.
>>
idk why burgers get so caught up about v8s

The most impressive v8 engines come from europe generally (though, they're mostly very exclusive/expensive so burgers have the cheap/accessible thing going for them), and on top of that, fucking v12s.
>>
>>17058725

It's much more than just that, building 2000hp GTRs and Corvettes has its own challenges

>And our 4-cyl engines overpower your V6s
niggu we had DSM, strongest 4 bangers out there

Hydraulic Hybrid, employing hydraulic pumps and pneumatic pressure to store energy recouped from a regenerative braking system – energy which is then released to boost vehicle acceleration. The result is a hybrid vehicle with no batteries. 20 to 35% Better Fuel Efficiency’?

It has been tried in the yellow goods sector, where most of the components are already there bar the large accumulator with limited success, I don't see it being very good for use in cars as hydraulic pumps and motors aren't super efficient especially at repetitively high speeds.

BMW has been doing it for years. Those stupid as fuck electronic "manual " transmissions. You gotta give it gas before shifting to D or else it'll just shift to neutral automatically. Also the bew MX-5s don't let you drive without a seatbelt. If you try to go without a seatbelt on, the car shifts to neutral

>>
>>17058415
Altough some say they were cucked by Fiat, they got some nice Alfa V6 engines out of that and still built very nice cars like the Thesis.

What happened recently however is one of the most despicable things ever done in car manufacturing imo. They spit on Lancia while it already was down by just taking Chryslers and badging them as Lancias here in Europe.
Lancia truly is dead now. They should just stop fucking them up any further and let it rest.

Why can't they make a cheaper version of the VW XL1 , it could weigh %50 more, and have a gas engine. If it managed to get 1/3 the mpg, that's still 86mpg?
XL1
-0.9 l/100 km (260 mpg‑US; 310 mpg‑imp)
-795 kg (1,753 lb)
-800 cc twin-cylinder, common-rail turbo-diesel 35 kW (48 PS; 47 bhp)
