change your alternator belt and pullies if you can be fucked to do so, or take some wd40 spray can and spray it on the belt with the engine running.
it's also quite normal.
you could have posted this in a qtddtot, but i guess you are a newfag frog posting patriot, still hopes this helps.
>>17105091
>wd40 spray can and spray it on the belt
Great way to have the belt just fly right off
>>17105100
you don't need to go full retard and spray the whole belt full of oil, just 3 dashes of oil will smear the belt enough to stop the squeeking and protect it a bit from elements.
It won't fly off...

The viper is literally proof that oldschool 60s hot rodding tech still keeps up on a track. Whats the point of a 400k+ supercar if you're gonna get btfo by a 135k car with a park bench wing?
Just too show off? Remember. Function>form. Half you neets bitch about how cars aren't simple and light weight.
how much do you guys love your cars?
yeah, that's what an alpha male looks like
Not as much as that guy does.
Enough to give it 2 services per the manuals suggestion for 1 in regards to intervals.
The 840-hp Dodge Challenger SRT Demon from Fiat Chrysler is so inherently dangerous to the common safety of motorists that its registration as a road-worthy automobile should be banned.
I don't reach this conclusion lightly. There are more powerful, and even
faster, vehicles available from other automakers that are rightly street
legal.
But just as Tesla is wrong to use consumers and the
roadways to beta-test its autonomous driving technologies, Dodge is
wrong to offer a purpose-built drag racer as a road-legal automobile.
From its barely legal slick tires to its monstrous acceleration, the
Challenger Demon introduced in New York this month is the result of a
sequence of misguided corporate choices that places bragging rights
ahead of public safety.
I bet you voted for hillary too you fucking faggot

Dacia Logan and this shitbox. What's their point when you have Suzuki Baleno, which is lighter, smaller but more powerful engine, more fuel efficient and more features.
>>17103808
Why dacia desu?
Its because they smell bad?
>>17103779
Not really, it's just a car.
I don't have a vehicle at the moment and I've been wanting a small truck. I'm also a speed freak so I want to go fast too. I got a good amount of money saved up I'm just torn between three options.
I'm a chevy guy at heart and my 1st choice would be an s10/sonoma. I would get a 4.3 with manual trans, normal cab, short bed to keep it small as possible. For speed, swapping a v8 would be too much of a hassle for me and out of my scope of abilities. However, there is wynjammer that makes a supercharger for the the 4.3. It comes with fuel and tuning for only $3,100 bucks. Supposedly makes 275 wheel hp. That would be plenty and I could still do more mods like head/cams/headers/exhaust later.
Then there is the toyota tacoma. I like the reliability and the normal cab base model 2wd is only like 2500lbs. I have a fear of frame rust though. Not too sure about that. Anyway KOracing makes a turbo kit which can be had for around $3,000, but it I'd still have to get the rest of the exhaust, fuel, tuning, and it doesn't come with an intercooler. So it would end up costing me more to get it going, but I do like the idea of a turbo more.
For my last pick, there are the 99-07 silverados. Right off the bat this is a bigger truck which I don't like. I would for sure get a regular cab with the shortest bed possible. I DO however like the fact they come with v8's. Sadly only the 4.8 comes in manual, but I could live with that, or get a 5.3 auto, I don't mind. For speed, on3 makes a cheap single turbo kit for them. It's not what I'd call complete though. For around $3500 bucks it gives you most of what you need, the rest I could source myself. Again, I'd need to get exhaust/computer/fuel and get it tuned which is more cost off the top of the base of the kit.
Which one would you chose? I think the silverado would be the fastest but it's also the biggest/heaviest which is a downside. I'm leaning towards the S10.
>small truck
>go fast
pick one
OP here again, there are two more choices I'm considering as well.
I was looking at two door yukons/tahoes with the 350 vortec but I'm not sure I want something that big and heavy. Again, Wynjammer makes a cheap supercharger kit for them and there are plenty mods for a 350 out there. Even with a supercharger the SUV is so big it'd still be pretty slow. Also it'd get pretty horrible gas mileage so I dont know.
There is also Jeep Cherokee's. I'd get a two door 5 speed 4x4, they're not too big. Boosted tech makes a supercharger for them for about $3000 bucks so that's not too shabby. Jeeps are heaps though so I don't know about it too much.

I recently installed a Kenwood head unit into my dad's old truck. After finishing, I happened to plug my Nexus 5x into it via USB and was *shocked* when my podcast automatically started playing again *through the head unit*.
What magic is this?
I actually spent some time Googling today, and I still have absolutely no idea how this works. What's the name of this technology? Is it some recent addition to the USB spec? Is it a semi-proprietary hack? Is it actually just repurposing the USB wires to transmit an analog (line level output) signal?
What's going on? Anyone know?
Is this part of Android Open Accessory (AOA)? Skimming the page for AOA, they've done a terrible job explaining it to end users.
>>17103683
It's a computer bruh. The radio is a computer, the phone sends a digital signal(waveform) over the wires that the radio then reads and turns into an analog signal from the data that it got from the phone.
>>17103683
rotational velocidensity or some shit
>>17103693
Yeah, and what's that called? What spec or branding is that advertised as? How do you know if you're buying a head unit that supports this feature?
This is seriously probably the worst advertised feature I've ever come across in car stereos.
Incidentally, holy shit are car stereos ever ugly these days. Even worse, the amount of completely fabricated market striation is insane. It's 2017, yet you don't get automatic dimming with the headlights on the base model Kenwoods and (I think) Pioneers. WTF.

Wtf do you race that car?
hello /o/!
a very good friend of mine gave me this Garret T25 turbo for free! it came out of a '95 Mitsubishi Eclipse DSM (2G). it has major shaft play, and he gave up on the project (sold the dsm for a bike), which is why i got it for free.
Ive been racking my brain trying to think of what to do with it. so im looking for suggestions.
Ive heard of guys putting a T28 compressor wheel, machining the housing for better flow. might do that, or just rebuild kit. not sure yet
im absolutely in love with turbo'd bikes, anyone know what the minimum displacement to hit boost would be with one of these things? guy who gave it to me has a 850cc Volusia, that would be a sick application.
otherwise, ive got a 96 impreza L i was thinking of throwing it on there and keeping boost below 10psi. (i know the flanges dont match, but thats what ingenuity is for)
thoughts/suggestions/opinions/ideas? ill be bumping with cars that show up at my work if i need to
i work at a hotel/nightclub/fine dining establishment. lots of lambos, mclarens, bentleys, aston martins, porsche, audi, rolls royce among others show up all the time
>>17103027
>major shaft play
It'll make for a very interesting paper weight.
How important is the tire pressure monitoring system in a 2011 honda civic? My dad told me offhand that his has had a light for like a year and I'd rather he not die.
Just check the sidewall of your tires or your manual, they usually say the PSI to fill there, and then just fill them yourself
No need to spend money on a sensor replacement
Just air up your tires. How hard is that.
>>17102851
I dont think its thats important.
My buddy's civic had its tire pressure light come on and we filled it to the proper amount and the light just stayed on.
Where do you learn to become a better driver
>inb4 someone posts "the road"
well first you stop riding the bus, OP.
Look for defensive driving classes in your area. Yes, a track day with an instructor will teach you how to handle your vehicle at high speeds better, but most of us aren't going to be taking hairpin turns at eighty very often. Learning to minimize the risk of damaging our vehicles and cope with less-than-optimal road conditions is more important to the kind of driving we do regularly.
>>17102814
By driving, OP.
Get and wheel and play a racing sim -- they actually do teach you quite a bit.
Go to an actual track. Get an instructor to give you a rundown at said track.
Hoon around town.
