Redpill me on the 2.7l ecoboost v6. Is this engine shit? Willl it stand the test of time or turn into a grenade?
Why not get the V8?
>>17143156
They've been developing these v6's since the late 90's.
>>17143156
Definitely grenade. I mean, not immediately, but that high-strung little engine is going to spend its entire life dragging a truck around. It's not going to live as long as the V8.
Real-world fuel savings are almost negligible too.
*blocks your path*
*guns it to 90 and passed you on the shoulder and resumes driving like a normal person*
Fuck trucks
FUCK I HATE THIS

How can I get a c7 z06 to go 250 mph?
sell it and buy a Ford GT
Might not be the best platform to start with. You're not going to keep much of the stock engine or downforce-adding bodywork, I'd start with a base C7 if you're insistent on the C7 platform. Anything to improve aerodynamics is a big help, you'll want a rollcage for safety, you'll need to make sure the gearing is capable, the suspension is tuned properly, etc. More on aero: Look at what the salt flats guys do. Dish wheels, front air dams, any gaps in the bodywork are sealed, etc.
>>17143067
Front engine cars aren't best for this. i don't really think any front engine car has made it to 250. probably Factory Five could.
Please name a more revolutionary and reliable engine, pro-tip, you can't.

Do you like enjoy the rain inside your car?

I enjoy being in my car when it is raining
I do NOT enjoy rain inside my car

What does /o/ think about this? I think coal-burners are dumb faggots who think they're tough guys for spitting smoke on people and immediately running away.

Connecticut's doing the same thing.
I hope it goes through honestly

Thats nice...thank you for sharing this...
Would you rather a fox body or a sn-95 mustang? The fox in question makes more power, 95 is mostly stock.
>>17140685
sn95
>>17140685
What year is the sn95? Actually, doesn't matter, unless you love the fox look the sn95 is the better car. If I had to do it again I'd get a 94-95 SN95 for the 5.0 and the SN95 chassis upgrades. I'm assuming both are v8 manuals.
Foxbody
Every single 95 I've ever seen has been treated like shit and they're falling apart, inside and out.

So I moved to north. Seattle (lake Forest Park)last month and the first night in my new apartments someone fucking takes a rock/key and does this to my S2000. Apparently the management tells me that the camera that was supposed to be watching my car. Malfunctioned that night and the whole video is "green"
It's gonna cost me 1k with or without insurance. Hold me /o/
>>17140179
you posted this like 5 days ago
>>17140179
I ve already filed a police report and they basically told me that I'm on my own.(that's fine) But what really upsets me is that this person took a rock to my car and had so much hate to do this. I mean look at it. Each stroke is full on malicious
>>17140188
I know and I'm still fucking stressed about it. So I'm using /o/ and your kind and (sometimes) awful input to make me feel better.
Hey /o/
I own an 06 Jeep TJ and the other day when I tried to drive home it wouldn't start. After being bump started and driving home I thought it was the starter. I took the starter off and then used jumpers too test it and it worked fine. I then checked the connection and it was also fine. What the fuck else could it be?
Sometimes battery cables fuck you around if they're old and shitty. On my ford pickup I have to jiggle the battery cables around to get it started.
Sounds like it could be a weak battery or loose/bad battery cables.
>>17139215
Test the battery, check your battery cables and check the solenoid.

Say something bad about a car you like
The battery was relocated by the previous owner to the frunk, so now a spare won't fit. Neither will a donut
>Honda S2000
It's extremely overrated at the current price point and almost "boomer" "I know what I got" tier when I read craigslist ads for these things.

Oh yeah, it's an AW11 with a 3SGTE swap
I love Alfa Romeo, however there's something I find very disturbing. I suspect there might be something that's more than just "advertising" in their latest spots.
For example, did you see the "you don't need this car" spot? I watched it a few times and nowadays I get anxious if I don't get 3 hours of cardio a week. I didn't even bother checking if it's legit or just a meme like the 8 cups of water a day thingy.
Also have you seen the "Dear predictable" one (from the Super Bowl) with the song "Tick of the clock" by Chromatics, the one featured in "Drive"? Well, ever since I watched it I've been having a recurring dream. I'm the getaway driver for a bank job and I'm driving a debadged chipped M3 with Koni shocks and competition package. Things are going smoothly and we think we've lost the heat until two Giulias come out of nowhere, catch us, block us and the guys in them shoot us dead. Then I wake up with my heart about to jump out of my chest and soaked in sweat.
Has Alfa Romeo crossed the line? Are they messing with our heads?
>>17127302
you do need 8 cups of water a day but the part nobody tells you is that you get a lot of that from the water that's contained in the food you eat
Is (((he))) in your dreams also?
>>17127302
It's not the ads anon, it's the car itself. It's so perfect you won't feel satisfied until you have one. And then everything you say with your car in sight will be accepted by the people listening to you as a task they can't refuse to carry out. The Giulia is a chariot of subliminal messages, it's hypnotic.

Is getting an older luxury car a good buy? I've been checking some luxury brands on cargurus for shit and giggles, and I was surprised to find that older luxury cars are relatively affordable to buy, all things considered. Nowm when it comes to maintenance and parts, this is where things could start getting expensive really fast, and I wanted to get opinions from you guys that know much more about cars than I do.
Potential pros:
>riding in style
>comfortable luxury that still holds up
>luxury cars often have more safety features
>owners are more likely to have taken good care of them
>can be found in better conditions relative to their year of make
Potential cons
>expensive maintenance
>too flashy, can call the attention of the wrong kind of people
>parts could be expensive
I've been looking at models from late 90's and early to late 00's from Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Audi and BMW and it's the same story. Luxury that you probably thought you could never afford, made available to you thanks to devaluation. To be honest, if I could afford it I'd go for one of those if the price is right.

MB went through kind of a renaissance where they were building cars of terrible quality in the 90s. Started turning around in mid 00s
BMW is ludicrous with maintenance but ask anybody who bought a second hand 750i, I bet half of them don't regret it (much)
Audis became lease queens in the mid 00s... I have heard from friends and coworkers that after 50k miles they start to disintegrate
And Jaguar... I just wouldn't. That being said, you can buy one for less than $5k...
There was a time where I almost bought an E55 MB, 500 supercharged hp from one of the best engines ever. The projected maintenance deterred me though. Good luck
>>17141287
>W211 with 199k miles
I don't think you're cut out for buying an old luxury car.
Do the Carmax warranty deal if you want something European, it WILL get expensive.
A Lexus will be a little pricier but bulletproof.
