>why do you need a gasguzzling v8… High torque… Beautifully revving… 70's mustang

Basically I just found this picture of a random old car and now I'm in love
What are some good, fun, comfy used hatchback I can get for around 5 grand or less if I'm never, ever, ever, ever going to race anyone? Which I'm not.
I want a hot hatch, but I also *need* a car within the next month and I need it to be dependable, not much older than 5 or 6 years old, and not beaten to hell. I really need the practicality of a hatchback with tons of room in the boot, and while I want the high performance of a Mk6 GTI or Fiesta ST or something, I don't really need it right now and want to get a newer used car without paying for extra for something I'm rarely going to use.
And it's not just about money, it's about being able to FIND something. EP3's, EK9's, Focus SVT's, impossible to find in decent condition. I've been looking forever.
All my research into hatchbacks keeps getting diverted into hot hatchbacks, which is great, I love them, but it's not what I reeeeally need right now. Looking at Sonics, Yarises, regular Golfs, Fits, Mazda3's, Suzuki SX4's, even Scion xD's etc
Warm hatch thread. There are so many of them.

Are you sure you can't afford around 8.5? If you're in the US, I'll sell you my speed3.
>>17185588
Thanks anon but yeah that's a bit much. Looking to pay cash and if I'm gonna finance 3.5k, I might as well finance more and get an ST or something.
Which country has the best police car?

Ford more your speed?
This probably isn't discussed as often, what are cool/unique car seats that have come over time, I'd have to go with the MK3 Supra.
AE92 Levin seats
Starlet GT Turbo seats are breddy nice.
I like my Celica seats.
Since most of you ride them, I'm sure you have an extensive knowledge. This is the place to discuss about these wonderful means of transportation for true enthusiasts
I'll start with posting one of the buses from my country, pic related:
Jelcz PR110
Full size high-floor bus
185HP
17,280 kg
Four speed manual
Capacity: 46-110 depending on version
No AC ESP ABS
True commie bus
bump
this is irrelevant to my interests.
These are the busses in my area. I don't know what kind they are
Post dumb uninformed shit and be made fun of/instructed
Is it possible to us a Single-Wheel to Dually conversion kit to convert a ford sedan? How stupid an idea is this and could I make it work anyway? (i'd only use this car for fun)
>>17184159
New to manual driving but getting the hang of rev matching etc. When slowing down from a highway say for example, is it best to go from 4th to 3rd to 2nd to Neutral gear rev matching or whip it into neutral from 4th when about under 30mph? Also at some stop lights I leave it 1st so I'm not slow taking Off, is this really bad for the car? Thanks!

>Is it possible to us a Single-Wheel to Dually conversion kit to convert a ford sedan?
Anything is possible... so long as you have access to a cnc machine and raw materials
>How stupid an idea is this and could I make it work anyway?
Very stupid. This is downs-syndrome level retarded
With a lot of work, yes. And I do mean a LOT of work.

toyota should just give up. they're only good at making econoboxes not performance cars
>m-muh 86 dorifto
it's slower than a crysler pacifica lmao
how often do you guys floor it
i pretty much never floor it
>>17182201
Like twice in the last year? Once for fun and once because an Audi was trying to pass me before his lane merged and I decided to deny him. So, twice for fun.
With 122hp and 2600lbs I have to floor it a lot to keep up with traffic. Modern trucks, crossovers and anything with a 6+speed transmission are pretty damn quick these days.

If Ferrari and Lamborghini are rivals, if BMW and Mercedes Benz are rivals, who is rivals with Porsche?
well in the racing world it was Audi
its doesnt really have a rival
I... Ask myself this everyday
Ferrari kind of, even though they always got BTFO just like Lamborghini got BTFO by Ferrari
Porsche > Ferrari > Lamborghini
