say something nice about this car
>>17193731
it looks nice
>>17193731
Stance faggotry is easily reversible
>>17193731
The S15 is really overlooked, the design has aged so gracefully
Does ANYONE actually still react to these?
Most normalfags don't even want to street race when they have these on or even know about what it meant
I have like 6 of these

You shit talking m8?
>mfw I'm not even a colts fan
Well, I just got towed to my mechanic by AAA. I have a 2005 Ford Escape v6 4wd. This morning I drove it to work just fine, the power steering was giving me some problems but thats an old issue. When I went to go home it would not start. The AAA battery replacement truck came and ran some tests, he said it was the alternator and also the battery was dead. When the flat bed tow truck came he said the battery guy was an idiot and ran some more tests which showed the battery was charging, the starting system was fine, and the charging system was fine. He told me I was safe to drive it home, I just had a loose terminal. We let it charge for a little bit then I was on my way. I didn't make it two blocks before all the electronics shut down and by the time I pulled off to the side of the road the engine was crapping out. I called the tow truck back and he has absolutely no clue what it could be. At lunch time it ran fine however I did hit a pretty nasty bump. Any guesses of what it could be?
Also the mechanic won't be able to look at it until Monday. That's why I'm posting here, just to get some sort of idea. The pic is pretty much unrelated because mine isn't a hybrid.

an almost dead sparkplug?
>>17193498
It's a Ford.
>by car 1 month ago
>needs tuneup
then
>needs throttle position sensor
then
>needs new battery
suddenly check engine light is on hours after new battery. Go to autozone
>needs catalystic converter
What are the chances I royally fucked up buying this car. Theres a slight chance the new battery is causing this as the car started idling lower after replacing it. But fuck
>buying used
>>17193256
>>needs tuneup
wtf did you buy? no car made in the last 30 years needs a "tuneup"
>>17193256
Do you now see why people lease cars? Let me guess... You got a 9000 point inspection with the car?
The only way you know if a used car is good is if you completely strip it apart.
Is this the board to post about the premier transportation method?
>>17193084
Motorcyclists are mostly obnoxious homos, as evidenced by the ""people"" who post in /dbt/.
>>17193138
Lol you realise cars where initially made so women could get from A to B? Motorbikes are the natural progression from the horse, the premier transport method.
ITT we post shoops of cars, OC or otherwise.
Interesting ideas, personal projects, alternate history models, future concepts. As long as it's been doctored, post it here.
If OC, before and after pics welcome.
What car games are the comfiest?
Something that doesn't "force" you to hoon laptimes and lets you cruise in sunsets, rain and night.
Sounds like Forza Horizon is what you are looking for.

for a second I was fucking BLOWN AWAY and the second later I realized it's a photo...

why is the doggo sad?
Do you have a local touge? How is it?
I've got an awesome one near Zagreb. A tight one way hillclimb road leads up to the peak and an another one-way road goes downhill. No oncoming traffic, not too narrow, very few hikers, although I've seen retarded cyclists near the top rolling down the uphill route.
Not my video, but what you can usually see there:

Yes, many desu, one of the only advantages of living in buttfuck nowhere
The closest to me, but always traffic, bikers, and RV's and big rigs so you have to go at a weird hour.
>>17192774
And here's the most fun one, but the drive to get there is anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours. One way downhill, road gets really tight and technical. Super fun.
Miatafag here. Today my yata suddenly decided to not go into gear. Luckily i was at a drive through so it wasnt dangerous, but the shifter would not move into any gear at all. I restarted it and then it went into gear just fine, and its never done this before, does anyone know what it might be? The car was owned by two women before me and since ive had it ive never really beat on it, and ive even done a shifter rebuild, so idk what it could be
sensor on the transmission now go learn how to use google u faget
>>17192339
Fuck this ahole. You have low fluid in the master cylinder OP. You might need to bleed it out through the slave if you've got some air in the system.
>>17192339
Thanks and i did but apparently my specific problem is an enigma, as the closest search result was for one that wont go into gear at all. Mine DID, but only after i restarted the car
>will this thing have typical honda reliability?
I sold my TDI back in Janurary and I have been without a decent DD since then (driving my 91 toyota pickup) and I am kinda liking the civiv type r, although it is a little too boy racer for me. Most hondas are really reliable, and on paper this one beats the other hot hatches.
>will the Civic type R last 300k miles like most hondas?
No.
>>17192164
Why wouldn't it? The last gen of type r's had no issues.
It probably won't be 'quite' as indestructible as their older DOHC NA engines but it will probably hit 200k no problem if it isn't hooned and redlined daily.
2015 335i sedan
12,651 miles
$33,888
>>17191909
Better resale it before you hit 75,000. BMW's dissolve after that many miles.
>>17191909
try to find one with the M sport package, way cooler steering wheel/accents/front and rear bumpers. otherwise it's a great car...kind of a sleeper. 335is and 135is are rockets
The newest gen 3 series is a little disappointing. I own an E92 and I was looking at the F30's and I couldn't help but find them having a cheapo interior and a heavy feel to the handling compared to the previous gen.
if you could have an electric corvette that does
>0-60 in sub 5 seconds
>gets 150 miles of range
>weighs about 3800lbs
>enough torque to do rolling burnouts at 70mph
all for around 30 grand
would you do it?
why or why not?
>>17191840
I'm not a big Vette guy anyways tbqh so I'd have to pass.
Are you allowed to pull the powertrain and sell it?
as long as it can do level 2 (4 hour) and level 3 (30 minute) charging I'd do it. Piss off some boomers and get tire smoke all day
>>17191853
that's already sort of factored into the theoretical price but let's just say the 350 smallblock finds a good caring home
My 302 is about to blow and i want to replace it with a remanufactured 300 straight six. I'm completely new to this and the only ones i can find are industrial engines. Is there any differences between the passenger vehicle and industrial version of an engine and if there is, what would the process of sticking it into a truck be like?
>>17191583
I'm assuming you're not in California. I think this is probably a felony or some shit there.
>>17191703
Texas. I dont think these engines are even legal in california.
>>17191583
It should be the same as far as I know, but it probably depends on its original application.
Mabey the bell housing and flywheel coul be weird depending on what it was connected to.
You are tasked with designing and then prototyping a pure 2-seat sports car.
Do you choose a Straight-6 or a Flat-6 to power it?
inb4:
>hurr crossplane v8
>hurr flatplane v8
>hurr wankel
Transverse slant straight seven mid engine.
Straight 4 is the correct answer.
But since I have to chose one of those, flat 6.
Lighter, shorter, lower cog.
neither I use a single cylinder 2 stroke engine.
Considering getting a Mazda rx7 fb shell and swapping in a mx-5 (miata) engine. What are youse thoughts , good daily project ?
>>17190891
Sounds great, but why not something with a bit more power?
SR20DET, RB25/26 would be cool, but the miata motor would make a good daily I guess.
I'd rather get a miata and swap a rx7 engine in it.
>>17190899
That would be a toy, not a daily driver.
