Cops and prosecution were incompetent as hell but he's guilty as shit. He lured her there raped and killed her then tried to destroy her remains and evidence. But I agree the previous rape charge was a conspiracy and he was framed for it. The producers of the series glamorized this angle to make the series more sellable to Netflix who would do anything to remain relevant
