You should ask >>>/sci/ because I haven't had a chemistry class in 20 years, but if I remember right, burning the methane in air would just convert it to H2O and CO2. Hopefully some /sci/entist will correct me if I'm wrong.

Apparently it's not consistent enough to light up. I was reading the other day they're avoiding that because the way it comes out could cause a huge explosion if set on fire.
