Teachers are actually paid fair wages relative to the rest of the job market, in addition to other benefits. It's a stressful, salaried job so it involves more than just clocking in and out. As teachers are generally expected to curate their curricula to some degree, grade it of course, continue their training throughout life, and provide some level of student outreach. And as a job, it requires a lot of organizational and "soft" skills that other jobs requiring bachelors degrees may not.
Allegorical accounts of shitty teachers need not apply. There are examples all over the job market of people who have no right or reason to be in the position they're in.

Coptic Christian attack: ISIS claims its 'soldiers' opened fire on bus killing 29 in Egypt
The Islamic State terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack on a bus outside of Cairo that killed at least 29 Coptic Christians including 10 children.
The group's news agency, Aamaq, said Saturday morning, its soldiers carried out the attack early Friday as a group of Coptic Christians who were reportedly on their way to a monastery south of Cairo. Group said put the death toll at 32.
The discrepancy in casualty figures is not uncommon in the aftermath of major attacks by the militants, who have been waging an insurgency centered at northern Sinai, though attacks on the mainland have recently increased.
The Egyptian Cabinet said in a news release that 13 victims of Friday’s attack remained hospitalized in Cairo and the southern province of Minya where the attack to place.
The attack was the fourth to target Egypt’s Christian community since December. The bloodshed came on the eve of the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Well, 4chan is in the news a bit. I gotta say this is a prime example of feeding the trolls. Just say something as offensive as possible on /pol/ and you might get your e-peen sucked by a journalist.

The alt-right was a catch-all term created to describe the growing number of disillusioned conservatives. People on reddit and YouTube latched onto the term and used it to promote themselves. While the group may share some of the sentiments of 4chan, /pol/ in particular, and I am sure that there is a mixing between the groups, it was never a 4chan thing.

Alt-right was created by Richard Spencer, a wealthy white supremacist who owns the blog "alternative right".
But of course /pol/ will be credited, which further calls for a "reform".

A Russian Defence Ministry source says, Kurdish forces have allowed ISIS an open corridor to flee the besieged city of Raqqa in Syria. Russian special forces have apparently started an operation to prevent the terrorists leaving the area. RT's Roman Kosarev has more on this.

Makes at least some sense. Get ISIS to fight the SAA. Make taking Raqqa easier. All humanity wins... except, unfortunately, the various civilians and conscripts caught up in the ISIS/SAA struggle.
