The Twitter user President Donald Trump praised last Saturday does not really exist, and the account might actually have ties to a Russia-backed disinformation campaign targeting the U.S. political system, The Washington Post reported Monday.

>"The president doesn't know whether it's a Russian bot or not," Clint Watts, a fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, told the Post. "He's just pushing a narrative, whether it's true or false. This provides a window not just for Russia but for any adversary to both influence the president or discredit him."

>Trump retweeted a post by someone who used the handle @ProTrump45 and said her name was Nicole Mincey. She described herself as a "black conservative" who sells Trump merchandise, but Twitter users quickly realized it was a fake, and the account was suspended by Twitter on Monday following complaints. Twitter would not comment on why it took the account down, but the company regularly suspends fake accounts or accounts that have been hacked.

>Leading up to the election, many automated Russia-linked Twitter accounts flooded social media with pro-Trump rhetoric and made up news to aid the Republican nominee's campaign. Trump has dismissed the investigation into Russia meddling, but brought attention to the issue with his retweet.

>"His use of Twitter has elevated the platform," said Jamie Fly, a former adviser to Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who helped create a project which tracks the influence of Russian-backed propaganda on the Internet. "It's created a situation where it's probably even more useful for a foreign power like Russia to try to influence the debate on Twitter."

You know when trump took office I bought twitter stock.

I seriously don't understand why some foreign conglomerate doesn't buy up twitter. I mean you'd have early access to trumps tweets, veto and delay power over posting his shit. You could even slightly alter his dumb ass rantings as it goes out.

I mean look our president is addicted to using this private company as his main source of communication and at the very least you could delay a tweet slamming GM for 2 minutes while you short the stock heavily.

You'd think TWTR would be more valuable.

I would reccomend you watch it carefully. Twitter has a rapidly declining human userbase and no real assets.

Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Airbnb said it is permanently deactivating the accounts of people who are attempting to use the website's service to find lodging to attend an upcoming white supremacist rally in Virginia.

The online booking service said it believes that people planning to attend the "Unite the Right" rally on Aug. 12, which is featuring a variety of white supremacist online personalities, are violating the company's terms and conditions, which all members sign when they create an account. The company also said it runs background checks on members to determine who engages in behavior it deems inappropriate.

"In 2016 we established the Airbnb Community Commitment reflecting our belief that to make good on our mission of belonging, those who are members of the Airbnb community accept people regardless of their race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age. We asked all members of the Airbnb to affirmatively sign on to this commitment," Airbnb said Monday.

Sounds like they're cucking the white supremacists in this situation.

Even so, their company, their rules. White supremacists are not a protected class. They're free to take their business to other sites.

A new report raises questions media and Democrats would rather ignore
A group of intelligence pros and forensic investigators tell The Nation there was no hack— the media ignores it.

http://www.salon.com/2017/08/15/what-if-the-dnc-russian-hack-was-really-a-leak-after-all-a-new-report-raises-questions-media-and-democrats-would-rather-ignore/

Last week the respected left-liberal magazine The Nation published an explosive article that details in great depth the findings of a new report — authored in large part by former U.S. intelligence officers — which claims to present forensic evidence that the Democratic National Committee was not hacked by the Russians in July 2016. Instead, the report alleges, the DNC suffered an insider leak, conducted in the Eastern time zone of the United States by someone with physical access to a DNC computer.

This report also claims there is no apparent evidence that the hacker known as Guccifer 2.0 — supposedly based in Romania — hacked the DNC on behalf of the Russian government. There is also no evidence, the report’s authors say, that Guccifer handed documents over to WikiLeaks. Instead, the report says that the evidence and timeline of events suggests that Guccifer may have been conjured up in an attempt to deflect from the embarrassing information about Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign that was released just before the Democratic National Convention. The investigators found that some of the “Guccifer” files had been deliberately altered by copying and pasting the text into a “Russianified” word-processing document with Russian-language settings.

If all this is true, these findings would constitute a massive embarrassment for not only the DNC itself but the media, which has breathlessly pushed the Russian hacking narrative for an entire year, almost without question but with little solid evidence to back it up.

http://foreignpolicy.com/2017/08/17/wikileaks-turned-down-leaks-on-russian-government-during-u-s-presidential-campaign/

>In the summer of 2016, as WikiLeaks was publishing documents from Democratic operatives allegedly obtained by Kremlin-directed hackers, Julian Assange turned down a large cache of documents related to the Russian government, according to chat messages and a source who provided the records.

>WikiLeaks declined to publish a wide-ranging trove of documents — at least 68 gigabytes of data — that came from inside the Russian Interior Ministry, according to partial chat logs reviewed by Foreign Policy.

>The logs, which were provided to FP, only included WikiLeaks’s side of the conversation.

>“As far as we recall these are already public,” WikiLeaks wrote at the time.

>“WikiLeaks rejects all submissions that it cannot verify. WikiLeaks rejects submissions that have already been published elsewhere or which are likely to be considered insignificant. WikiLeaks has never rejected a submission due to its country of origin,” the organization wrote in a Twitter direct message when contacted by FP about the Russian cache.

>(The account is widely believed to be operated solely by Assange, the group’s founder, but in a Twitter message to FP, the organization said it is maintained by “staff.”)

>In 2014, the BBC and other news outlets reported on the cache, which revealed details about Russian military and intelligence involvement in Ukraine. However, the information from that hack was less than half the data that later became available in 2016, when Assange turned it down.

After condemning the violent protests in Charlottesville last week Gen. Robert E. Lee’s great-great grandson suggested that Confederate statues be exhibited in museums, instead of public parks.

Robert E. Lee V, 54, added that it would be “fine” if lawmakers “choose to take those statues down,” CNN reported.

“Maybe it’s appropriate to have them in museums or to put them in some sort of historical context in that regard,” Lee, an athletic director at a Virginia school told the news outlet.

A deadly protest erupted last weekend over plans to remove a statue of Gen. Robert E. Lee from a Charlottesville park once named after him.

It is now called Emancipation Park.

White supremacists held a "Unite the Right" rally to protest the statue removal. They were met by counterprotesters.

Heather Heyer, a counterprotester, was killed when a motorist allegedly drove into a group of demonstrators.

“Those sorts of acts on Saturday, that’s just not to be tolerated,” Lee said. “We feel strongly that Gen. Lee would never ever stand for that sort of violence.”

The Lee family issued a statement saying that the general's life "was about duty, honor and country," CNN reported.

"At the end of the Civil War, he implored the nation to come together to heal our wounds and to move forward to become a more unified nation," the statement said. "He never would have tolerated the hateful words and violent actions of white supremacists, the KKK, or neo-Nazis."

Analysis reveals jihadists of varying backgrounds inspired by religious ideology not factors floated by liberals

Liberal and globalist influencers in the West have attempted to attribute the spread of violent, radical Islam to everything from poverty to global warming, but a new study by an Islamic expert from the University of Vienna belies these persistent claims that Islamic terrorism is spurred primarily by factors outside the religion.

http://archive.is/s0w42#selection-691.0-691.67

The results of the study have clearly come as a shock to Western liberals conditioned by years of multicultural propaganda. German newspaper Die Welt reported the study under the headline, “Islam plays a greater role in radicalization than assumed.” It would be far more accurate, however, to say that “Islam plays a greater role in radicalization than admitted,” experts say.
"The Left is tying itself in knots trying to excuse radical Islam while advancing its Marxist agendas elsewhere," Kassam told LifeZette. "They haven't yet realized they sound more like The Onion than reputable sources of news and analysis," he added.
"It is fairly evident from the Quranic verses often cited by Islamist leaders, as well as lectures freely available online, that there isn't so much a 'perversion' of Islam going on, as establishment leaders so often suggest, but rather, a literalist interpretation of what that book and the Hadiths openly state," Kassam said.

I don't doubt for a moment that religion played a key factor in driving these people to terrorism. However, why exactly are terrorists exclusively from the second or later generations, while their parents are by and large innocent? What motivated them to embrace Old Testament religion harder than their equally devout old men ever did?

If you are white and share a GIF of a black person, you are racist. Lauren Michele Jackson calls the act of sharing a reaction GIF of a black person “digital blackface.”
“Digital blackface does not describe intent, but an act — the act of inhabiting a black persona,” she writes. “Employing digital technology to co-opt a perceived cache or black cool, too, involves playacting blackness in a minstrel-like tradition.”

http://www.teenvogue.com/story/digital-blackface-reaction-gifs/amp

Ultimately, black people and black images are thus relied upon to perform a huge amount of emotional labor online on behalf of nonblack users. We are your sass, your nonchalance, your fury, your delight, your annoyance, your happy dance, your diva, your shade, your ‘yaas’ moments. The weight of reaction GIFing, period, rests on our shoulders. Intertwine this proliferation of our images with the other ones we’re as likely to see — death, looped over and over — and the Internet becomes an exhausting experience.
If you find yourself always reaching for a black face to release your inner sass monster, maybe consider going the extra country mile and pick this nice Taylor Swift GIF instead.

WASHINGTON — President Trump on Monday removed Anthony Scaramucci from his position as communications director, the White House announced, ousting him just days after Mr. Scaramucci unloaded a crude verbal tirade against other senior members of the president’s senior staff.
“Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director,” Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, said in a statement. “Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.”

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/31/us/politics/anthony-scaramucci-white-house.html

Mr. Scaramucci’s abrupt removal came just 10 days after the wealthy New York financier was brought on to the West Wing staff, a move that convulsed an already chaotic White House and led to the departures of Sean Spicer, the former press secretary, and Reince Priebus, the president’s first chief of staff.
In a Twitter message just before 5:30 on Monday morning, just hours before the announcement about Mr. Scaramucci, Mr. Trump insisted that there has been “No WH chaos!”
The decision to remove Mr. Scaramucci became public as Mr. Kelly, who replaced Mr. Priebus as the top adviser in the White House, began his first day in charge of the White House staff. He told aides gathered in early-morning staff meetings that he intended to impose a new sense of order and operational discipline that had been absent under his predecessor.
Mr. Scaramucci had boasted about reporting directly to the president, not the chief of staff. But the decision to remove him came at Mr. Kelly’s request, the people said.

Gov. Cuomo on Wednesday called on the Army to reconsider its recent decision not to rename two streets in Brooklyn honoring Civil War Confederate generals.
“Renaming these streets will send a clear message that in New York, we stand against intolerance and racism, whether it be insidious and hidden or obvious and intentional,” Cuomo wrote in a letter sent to acting Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy.
The Army on Aug. 7 denied requests from New York congressional members to change the names of Stonewall Jackson Drive and General Lee Avenue on the Fort Hamilton Army Base, the city’s only active military post.
Cuomo in his letter asked McCarthy to reconsider in the wake of “the violence and terrorism perpetrated by white supremacists in Charlottesville and the resulting emboldening of the voices of Nazis and white supremacists.”

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/cuomo-urges-u-s-army-rename-confederate-streets-brooklyn-article-1.3417448

Cuomo, who has been mentioned as a possible 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, wrote that New York condemns language and violence of white supremacy “in no uncertain terms.”
“Unlike President Trump, we stand together to say that there are not many sides to hatred and bigotry; they do not belong in our communities and must be denounced for what they are,” he wrote.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/charlottesville-car-attack-james-alex-fields-previously-accused-of-assaulting-mother/

>CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- The driver charged with killing a woman protesting a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville was previously accused of beating his mother and threatening her with a knife, according to police records released Monday.

>Samantha Bloom, who is disabled and uses a wheelchair, repeatedly called police about her son, James Alex Fields Jr., in 2010 and 2011, telling officers he was on medication to control his temper, transcripts from 911 calls show.

>Authorities say 20-year-old Fields drove his silver Dodge Challenger into a crowd of counter-protesters Saturday in Charlottesville in an act of domestic terrorism. Nineteen people were wounded in addition to the woman killed, 32-year-old Heather Heyer. A Virginia State Police helicopter deployed in a large-scale police response to the violence then crashed into the woods outside of town and both troopers on board died.

>The records the Florence Police Department in Kentucky show the man's mother had called police in 2011. Records show Fields' mother told police he stood behind her wielding a 12-inch knife. Records show that Fields was arrested and put in juvenile detention.

>In another incident in 2010, Bloom said that Fields smacked her in the head and locked her in the bathroom after she told him to stop playing video games.

>Bloom told the AP late Saturday that she knew her son was going to Virginia from Ohio for a political rally Saturday, but she had no idea it involved white supremacists.

>"I just told him to be careful," she said, adding she warned him that if there were protests "to make sure he's doing it peacefully."

>Sources tell CBS News' Andres Triay and Pat Milton that FBI and DOJ investigators will examine any possible connections or communications Fields may have had with others before he allegedly drove his car into the crowd.

>Investigators are delving into his background, possible affiliations with groups espousing violence, any social media postings as well any electronic communications he may have had. Officials will also trace his path to Virginia from his home in Ohio, particularly the 24 hours prior to the attack, the sources said.

>Fields was fascinated with Nazism, idolized Adolf Hitler, and had been singled out in the 9th grade by officials at the Randall K. Cooper high school in Union, Kentucky, for his "deeply held, radical" convictions on race, his former high school teacher Derek Weimer said Sunday.

>Fields also confided that he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia when he was younger and had been prescribed an anti-psychotic medication, Weimer said.

>Fields later enlisted in the Army and reported for basic training in 2015 but was released from active duty four months later because of what military described only as "a failure to meet training standards."

>Fields had been photographed hours before Saturday's attack with a shield bearing the emblem of Vanguard America, one of the hate groups that took part in the "take America back" campaign to protest the removal of the Confederate statue. The group on Sunday denied any association with the suspect.

>Charlottesville Police Chief Al Thomas told a news conference Monday that a hotline was being set up to enable people to report assaults and other criminal activity that may have occurred at Saturday's rally.

>He also said "alt-right" rally attendees had failed to follow an agreed-upon plan on entering Emancipation Park. The attendees were gathering to protest plans to remove a Confederate statue.

>The event also drew counter-protesters -- and Thomas said the crowds became more aggressive and "mutually engaged combatants" became more violent.

>When asked whether he had any regrets, he said: "Absolutely I have regrets. We lost three lives this weekend."
>>
>The mayor of Charlottesville, political leaders of all political stripes and activists and community organizers around the country planned rallies, vigils and education campaigns to combat the hate groups. They also urged President Trump to forcefully denounce the organizations, some of which specifically cited Mr. Trump's election after a campaign of racially charged rhetoric as validation of their beliefs.

>Mr. Trump's initial failure on Saturday to denounce the groups by name, and his blaming of the violence on "many sides," prompted criticism from fellow Republicans as well as Democrats.

>Under pressure to speak out more forcefully, Mr. Trump condemned Ku Klux Klan members, neo-Nazis and white supremacists who take part in violence as "criminals and thugs" and declared that "racism is evil."

>Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced late Saturday that federal authorities would pursue a civil rights investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

>Fields appeared in court via video monitor Monday and was denied bond after the public defender's office said it couldn't represent him and the judge was forced to find a local attorney to fill in.
