As long as the backpack doesn't move around too much, it looks secure enough, anon.
Personally, I'd have something coming over the backpack in the middle, but it looks pretty secure.

I fixed it up a bit, now its got two small bungees over the top going down to the rack with one threaded through the clips on the sides, and then the two bottom straps clipped together around the seat. Feels a lot more secure and doesn't take as long to pull off so that's good.

I've used one of those before and I liked them, but my objective here is just to transport my backpack everyday without having it over my shoulders because of how sweaty it makes my back. I own a set of saddlebags but I can't fit the backpack in them, and I need the bag throughout the day away from my bike. Hence the sorta ghetto solution, I'm trying to do something other than zip-tie a milk crate down and dump my bag in that.
