Try leaving cyclists an appropriate gap (at least 1.5 m) and refraining from using your window washers and horn while passing them. Actually, I am american and have a car, so I have payed registration fees and gas taxes. I live in a city though where driving and parking sucks where I need to go for school and work and cycling is faster than walking or the bus.
