Training for 2016 Race Season

I bout an exercise bike so I can watch TV while doing recovery intensity rides, and not have to slather myself in sunscreen

I don't race or intend to but I just recieved my Castelli Free Aero Race Bibs that I ordered a couple of weeks ago and I just ordered some Giordana FR-C bibs which should arrive in the new year. Then I plan to buy a Giro Synthe aero helmet.

I may not race but I sure as hell will look the part!

Just get a copy of 'The Cyclists Training Bible, 4th Edition' by Joe Friel, read it cover to cover a couple times, and sit down and create your own personalized training plan. Spend money on a power meter like a Quarq crankset or PowerTap rear wheel instead of trying to shave a few grams off your bike.

Oh and by the way OP if you're in North America you should be starting Base training *this week* if you want to be ready to go by March, so you'd better get your ass in gear if you haven't started already.
