I fucking lost it.
Also I'm a cfi, cfii, mei, atp. aviation industry sucks, so might want to get over starry eyed fast.
What's happening here?
Ok, special snowflake. Didn't deserve it's own thread.

GJ!
Grats bro. I did my first commercial flight today. Happy days, enjoy them.
Just got my PPL in the mail today. Looks like today is a good day for personal aviation milestones on /n/.
>>903412 It's a 1/3 scale flying replica of a B-17 bomber. Not a remote-controlled one.
>>903636
Thats awesome! Post pics and videos of that badboy in the air!
>>903769 Sadly, still under construction (scratch-built planes can take a helluva time to get all the details, then to get legal....) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcHP26JiLYw
>>903545
My recommendation : if you can, buy a plane! Prices have never been cheaper (saw a fly-away C-150 on ebay yesterday for $10,500). Perfect time-building fun, and when the market picks back up again, sell it. We can do some formation flying one of these days. My X-wing is in AZ.
Also, flying UAVs for fun & profit.
>>903915
Saratogas are great, but more pricey than they are worth, IMHO. Depending on your needs/wants, there are single-seaters in the $4-7k range. Basic C172s can be had for $23k or so...and Skymaster clones (Tripacer, Darter) for much less. Bumpin' again cause front page is all bikes & trains.
>>903957
Well the thing is everyone in my family is over 200lbs so I really need somthing to accommodate that.
>>903957
you guys must have the SIDS program over where you are? i'm an engineer in NZ and we ended up writing off a few cessnas as a result, and the price of anything that made it through the initial inspections went up
now pa28s dominate the "cheap and cheerful" price bracket
>>903990
I haven't heard any big news or discussion about it. Still, one more reason I'm glad that my birds are not Cessnas. Pic related....not a Cessna.
Greetings from team chemtrail! Bumpin again...damn front page bicycles.
>>904283

>>904283
good job, you just made yourself a new bike thread. reminder that complaining about bikes is a request for a new bike thread.
>>903389
Do you feel in charge?
>>903396
That's what keeps the lower levels of the industry running, cause it certainly isn't the pay check.
