Jesus christ. How much are a set of clip on aero bars? Surely the person who did this realises even the cheapest set will be safer, comfier, easier to install AND probably cheaper than a new stem and all that other shit. The mind boggles. I guess its just a commuter as well...

I did this. No I just had the stupid Cinelli Spinach bars and wanted to see if aero bars would be good to have on my touring bike without spending money

I want to get the length comfy before I buy. If I buy I will be going $160+ with fold-up arm rests

Aero bars on touring bikes are underrated for long cruising sections imho

But to be clear I am not spending money on bike parts because it's such a money hole and I've learned my lesson

I'll report back with my findings.
