Recommend me some progressive rock. My favs right now are Jethro Tull and Rush. Just tryna find new music. Anything related to prog if you like it recommed it here pls.
Can't remember the name of the album, but I listened to something by a band named Nektar or something once and it was good. Reminded me a lot of Yes

Im looking for peoples personal favorites to listen too
If you dont like it leave
I'd recommend checking out Yes. Listen to Close to the Edge. The Rush boys loved Yes back in the 70s, and I would describe Rush's 70s work as Yes crossed with Led Zeppelin. So yeah. Also, if you wanna get a bit freaky, check out some King Crimson.
King Crimson
Yes
Genesis
Gentle Giant
The Moody Blues
Thirsty Moon
Premiata Forneria Marconi
Procol Harum
Pink Floyd
National Health
Egg
Happy The Man
Van Der Graaf Generator
FM
Emerson, Lake And Palmer
That should do you, have fun.

This isn't a request board. Lurk moar, use google, essential charts, musicfinder, whatever. Explore what you find and decide on your own if you like it or not. I can't believe people are this bad at discovering music
OP here. You guys are great. This will keep me busy a while! And what I have listened to so far is amazing. Havent heard anything I dont like yet. I cant listen to it all now but if you posted on here i am screenshotting it and i will get to it because so far its great. Thanks again!

after marathoning his discography i can say that the only album I like is eye in the sky. the rest is more hard rock/dad rock than prog. eye in the sky reminds me of mystery style neo prog.

Getting into prog almost always leads to getting into jazz fusion.
I also recommend Egg, National Health, Hatfield and the North, Camel, Genesis, Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Jean-Luc Ponty, Gryphon, Premiata Forneria Marconi, Gentle Giant.
Pretty much everything in this thread.
Mahavishnu Orchestra
