Fuck this board for being so predictable. I can't believe you people are about to start gushing over what's to be an unironic album about feuding shoe companies.
Fuck this board.
Fuck you people.
you're a fucking autist. obviously facts was a meme, theres a reason it's not on the album and real friends and no more parties in LA (arguably Kanye's best songs since graduation) are.
HOW ARE YOU GONNA MAKE A 10 SONG ALBUM WHEN WE'VE ALREADY HEARD 4 OF THEM
Yeah. Honestly my hype plummeted into the ground when I saw the tracklist. We've heard almost half the album already and there are rumors that Kanye is gonna drop an offical single next week too.
Plus, all 4 tracks sound RADICALLY different. I'm guessing this album is gonna be extremely messy and uncohesive.
>people aren't hyped for the new Ye album
You don't appreciate art. Everything this guy does is completely new and unique compared to what he did before. How can you NOT be hyped for this?
This album is going to sound so weird. What the hell.
We've heard 40% of it already and the songs are so tonally and musically different from one another.
>meme rap on every album is being unique
I've been wishing these kinds of posts were ironic or something but I think you're all just genuinely retarded. My condolences to your lost braincells.
Shit I'm more hyped for Views from the 6 then this.
No more parties in LA is just Kanye getting renegaded and him with shitty flow for way too long.
Wolves is alright but no my type of song.
Fade sounds like crap.
Real Friends was GOAT though.
I fucking hate that Kanye sampled this so lazily. This is legit one of my favorite house tunes and he just took the whole beat and pitched it down a few semi tones and then shat on it with autotune mumbling.
Dont forget that those vocal samples that he took from Deep Inside by HardDrive, which is another CLASSIC house track.
Fucking hell Yeezy, you're not on the internet in 2011.
Anyway I'm glad Real Friends is gonna fade into Wolves rather than the other way around. Expecting at least a 7 on this album, a step up from Yeezus.
Now that we know the tracklist, where would you put this album in your rank of Kanye albums?
>I don't go to Kanye or Jay for "bangers".
College Dropout is overrated IMO. Still good, but if he kept making albums like this, he wouldn't be near as acclaimed as he is. Its pretty standard stuff aside from the soul sampling.
Touch the Sky is where God-tier Kanye begins IMO
Disagree. I'm so excited for it, it seems kind of weird though being the last song but we'll see. SO
HOLY FUCK ALL DAY IS OFF THE ALBUM FUCK YES YEEZY SEASON APPROACHING FUCK
What does his handwriting say about him?
808s is garbage.
In my recycle bin where it deserves to be
>808s not last
You fucked up son.
Literally track we've heardf so far has been garbage.
Will this be one of the worst albums from a reputable artist in history?
6. He has 6 songs to make me like this album. Because the only song I have heard that I have fell in love with is Real Friends. Better be a deluxe itunes version with more added man.
Black people, especially rich black people love their expensive designer shit. Seriously I worked with a guy from Washington who always was going on about his new burrberry or whatever the fuck.
could you ride Ye's dick any harder?
>Everything this guy does is completely new and unique compared to what he did before
just because someone creates something new and unique doesn't mean there's even the remote possibility of it being good. Take Yeezus and 808's & Hearbreak for example; possibly two of the fuck WORST albums I've ever heard in my life, yet the most "unique" sounding work Ye's ever produced.
No more parties in LA had a shit flow btw.
What a failed album rollout
>release wolves way before album comes out
>release a handful of singles that don't even make the album
>keep releasing a few more snippets/songs
>include just 10 tracks for final tracklisting
Dude should have went quiet about music, then announce the album a week before it's release with 1 single/music video
i swear to god he recorded nmpila and real friends like a couple days before they released on soundcloud.
which is fine for some freebies, but that shit does not belong on an album. he's been working 2.5 years on this album, is he that starved for tracks? plus nmpila came out less than a week ago and this album is "finished" so there's no way he did any work on it
just 2 days ago he was digging through 6 cds worth of madlib beats, what the hell happened? did he just run out of steam and decide to scrape an album together out of what he had finished?
this is going to be so shitty lol.
>So happy to be finished with the best album of all time
>guys what if 30 hours is actually 30 hours long and contains other songs like all day and facts?
this would be the biggest shitstorm of all time, Kanye would be crowned as the greatest musician to ever live.
He is beyond the memes now. This ain't no memeshow, motherfucker. He lives this shit.
Blood on the Leaves Pt 2
>Father Stretch My Hands
Dear Mama Pt 2
James Blake track
All of the Lights Pt 2
Runaway Pt 2, this song is long
>No More Parties in LA
tweaked Ye verse
the most overtly Yeezus song on the album
Feel Like That
tweaked slightly since the SNL version, also with extended outro (now a bit over 4 mins long)
>Good Friday is running a lil late.
>They're creating something from scratch in here.
>Not only is Chance The Rapper a lyrical beast.....he's also a GREAT photographer. Hellllooooo.
don't feel like saving the pic
shouldve went full hipster mode. zero talk. 1 or 2 cryptic tweets a couple weeks before release. then boom, 3-5 videos, 12-18 tracks, 100 limited signed copies or some shit like coming with special edition yeezys or something and they cost like 1k for the package each (which then resells on ebay for like 10k each). shit would go bananas.
instead hes just like doing a normal album release.
just how you feel or you claim to have heard this shit?
if so, does it all flow together. Most kanye albums sound like complete works on their own but all these songs seem random. Like just a collection of hits.
Only one way to explain what has happened here
What I hope
>mfw nina chop has been on the album since 2014 what have you been doing kanye?
DEEP LORE SENPAI
Its a meme that he uses ghostwriters because rhymefest helped him back in the day and consequence says he wrote stuff (he admitted he was more of an influence)
Kanye literally credits random people just for giving their opinions on things. There's no ghostwriters.
>he gave four five seconds to rihanna
>tell your friends to the weeknd
>piss on your grave to travis scott
>and a gorillion other beats to pusha t
what the fuck kanye
Kanye's verse is new and the beat was updated.
Kendricks was old.
the beat was. kanye's whole verse was recorded on a plane a couple days before he uploaded it on soundcloud.
not sure about kendrick's, i've heard he recorded it while he was on tour with kanye in 2013
Holy shit stop. Real Friends and NMPILA are not even close to his best. Not even in the top half. People are just getting hyped over them because they sound like "old Kanye", and they can't get over the fact that his music has changed (for the better imo).
>dat beat change
>dat going back to his 808 days
This album is gonna be great. I don't think this is the entire song, especially since that Mamacita guitar sample at the end was put there.
I CAME HERE TO LAUGH YOU AND YOUR SHIT TASTE. GO BACK TO TSWIFT THREADS FAGGOT.
This. The album looks like shit right now.
I think Kanye felt pressured to return to his old style, despite the fact that his music changed for the better. Despite what any snapback wearers might think, Yeezus was critically acclaimed just like all his other albums. 808s probably got shafted the most, and it's arguably his best album. Really demonstrates his ability as a songwriter and pop star. Fuck this "real hip-hop" shit.
>Yeezus was critically acclaimed
This doesn't really mean anything, the critics will dickride Kanye no matter what he releases. Kanye's good but he is nowhere near as good as so many people make him out to be.
Sorry, let me give you some actual opinions so I can foster a calm discussion between us.
Say You Will - great opener. The choir sings some fantastic chords, Kanye has a cool melody, and the instrumental is sparse yet effective in conveying a gloomy atmosphere.
Welcome to Heartbreak - one of the weakest tracks on the album. I like Kanye's hook ("I've seen it before"), but not Cudi's.
Heartless - I like the instrumental, midi flutes and all, and the melodies from Kanye. Great hook.
Amazing - AMAZING drums. Great verses and hook. Jeezy's lyrics are good, but his voice doesn't suit the best very well imo. Very empowering song, yet still sounds a bit hopeless; Almost like Kanye's just trying to pump himself up for a fight he's going to lose.
Paranoid - great 1980s vibe on this song. Mr. Hudson's vocals on the chorus are great, and so is the instrumental. Love drums and happy synth chords, as well as the lyrics. Definitely the most danceable song here.

*suit the beat very well
*love the drums and happy synth chords
Love Lockdown - fantastic drums yet again. The way the different elements of the beat come in is pure genius-- starting with that deep bassline, joined by piano chords, then joined by the drums. I like Ye's lyrics & melody, also.
Street Lights - I used to skip this track within 10 seconds every time, but then one day I listened to the entire thing. Halfway through, a beautiful choir joins in, as well as some other male singer (sounds kinda like Charlie Wilson, but I'm sure it's not him). They really make the song sound more emotionally impactful.
Bad News - Kanye's part is pretty damn short here, but it's really good. The piano and his own voice grow more intense at one point, which I play back over and over again. After Kanye's part, some sweet violins repeat his melody. Drums are great yet again.
Seriously, whoever programmed the drums on this album deserves recognition.
I disagree with Amazing, I do like the song all the way up to Jeezy's verse which completly ruins it for me. All in all I don't hate 808's but I hate auto-tune and the amount of autotune used ruined the album for me. There are some great songs on there though.
If you zoom in, this track list is a bit more clear. It looks like we're getting:
1. Nina Chop
2. Fame Stretched My Lungs (Pt 1. and Pt. 2)
4. High Lights
5. 30 Hours
6. No More Parties in LA
9. Real Friends
Who here /hype/ for a 2-parter?
