if you haven't heard om before check out advaitic songs
dunno any of yours sorry
listen to some postrock; mt. zion maybe
listen to some lucrecia dalt
the black heart rebellion
I really prefer these inclusive collage threads to separate ones for 5x5, 4x4 etc., thanks for starting this one
rec: Soap&Skin - Lovetune for Vacuum
Are you by any chance well acquainted with his post-90s output and if so, is there something in particular you would recommend? I adore his first three albums, but found it difficult to get into anything else.
+ Prurient, Rome, Nurse With Wound
Your chart looks very intriguing, I'm downloading the whole thing for future reference.
How is the new Tindersticks?
Really digging your chart. Songs Ohia, Tram, True Widow, and Disco Inferno are all great. Check out:
Love, Claire - Love, Claire
The Secret Stars - Genealogies
Macha - Macha
I had a really pleb week
+Ghostface, Gibbs, Outkast, Portishead, MBV, DOOM, Madlib, BOC, Wu, Budd/Eno
+Deaf Grapes, Microphones, NMH, Anco, Titus Andronicus
I've been on /mu/ for a short time as you can probably judge from the chart. I've been listening mostly to folk lately, and I also put some mucore albums on the chart that I enjoyed. I would love to receive recommendations of some more adventurous music that I might like .
+coil, C93, DiJ
>Your chart looks very intriguing, I'm downloading the whole thing for future reference.

+C93, ain soph, death, christian cosmos, HANL
how do you feel about the two other fernow projects that kinda go along with CC: rainforest spiritual enslavement and vatican shadow?
I'm with you on his post 90s stuff. Philosophy is his last album that's good the whole way through.Songbook has its gems, though.
Unholy Majesty is my favorite of her catalog,
I don't why, but how to leave town resonates with me more.
guys where the fuck do I make these
I've only lurked /mu/ so I never found out where to make em
vatican shadow is pretty nice
never listened to rainforest spiritual enslavement, worth checking out?
i can't really recommend Moons at the Door, it feels pretty bland and uninspired
but And When Rome Falls is positively incredible
Bit more daring? You could try corpo-mente's S/T
Cut Hands is nice. Try Ikue Mori - Class insecta or hex kitchen.
+Joanna, AnCo, Elliott Smith
+Julien Baker, GY!BE
+Radiohead, Weezer, Vampire Weekend, AnCo, Tame Impala
>never listened to rainforest spiritual enslavement, worth checking out?
it's my favorite of the three. it has the least techno influences and uses a lot of rainforest field recordings layered over ambient synth.
>i can't really recommend Moons at the Door, it feels pretty bland and uninspired
yeah I've found C93 to be kinda spotty. recently I was really disappointed in an introduction to suffering because it had a hurdy gurdy in it but it wasn't used all that well.
not a chart thread friendo, unlike milo you did not go to college and youre probably 22
you sing opera
i only know deathconsciousness and I listened to it like once 3 years ago, so sorry
been on /mu/ for 1.5 years, youre a jr in college
you feel really depressed for no reason other than it's winter
>Cut Hands is nice.
yes, I love that dark percussion focused sound, it's hard to find much like it
>Try Ikue Mori - Class insecta or hex kitchen.
thank you dude, I wish I could give you some good recs but I don't know anything on your chart. you may like Aporea - Na Rekah Vavilonskih, but I'm betting you already know it.
>uses a lot of rainforest field recordings layered over ambient synth
you bought me right there
i guess that's inevitable with a discography this massive
still, C93 is my favorite musical project by far
Literally the only difference between my post and every other one is that the album titles are listed to the side. Im sorry that this has spoiled the integrity of your precious collage thread
+the best joanna newsom album, murmuure
l'acephale - stahlhartes gehäuse
zero kama - secret eye of l.a.y.l.a.h
+miles davis, nirvana, melvins
>i guess that's inevitable with a discography this massive
yeah, I don't know any artist with a discography that size that doesn't have quite a number of bad ones
>still, C93 is my favorite musical project by far
excellent taste my man
as long as you put the albums you've been listening to in the last 7 days and not your all-time favorites or anything you're right
not that it's a big deal either way
ai aso is lovely and hyolyn also
do you like kazumi nikaido
also do you like this
tell me about balagan
>you sing opera
Yes, I take classical singing lessions. Good guess.
Nope, haven't heard it. Looks interesting, thanks.
Lol, reggae folk? I don't like the singer very much.
Kazumi nikado sounds nice. I might listen more to it but it's not exactly my thing.
You should try Virginia Astley from my list. No vocals but similar to Nikado.
Huge +1 for Brian Eno
+2 for Scarlatti and Menuhin. Consider watching his interpretation of Schönberg's Phantasie with Glenn Gould.
lol, too cutesy?
nikaido is actually somewhat varied, so give one of her albums a go sometime
I like the yellow one with the squiggle
I'll stick it down for sure, thanks
haha nice avant ching chong
this is lovely thanks
Winter makes me pretty sad yeah
I'll guess that you broke up with someone recently
Have you listened to Cluster's self titled album? If not fucking do it
I don't know what you call singing Wagner if not opera. Naturally, at my age there's not much you can do with your voice but it's as close as it gets.
Productions as in professional recordings/performances? No I'm just a low-level student.
Wasn't huge on the scarlatti. It was nice for a piano interpretation but i prefer harpsichord. I wasn't satisfied with the rameau performance either.
OH yeah that shit is unforgivable
the way they handle everything is sort of horrible, at like a basic level
have you read the sonemic plan for scrobbling?
it's kind of genius and I hope they can get around to implementing it
+patie smith, flockavelli
+Roxy Music, Brian eno
+boards of canada, madvillian, nirvana, pixies, melvins, coletrane
-death from above
+pink floyd, mazzy star, love, interpol

+holy modal rounders, boo radleys, jesus and mary chain
+brand new, ghostface, freddie, outkast, boards of canada, madvillian, viktor vaughn
-crystal castles, the game
obviously it's all vague and nowhere near a concrete plan but they understand the core issue with how last.fm functions so I'd switch over in a heartbeat
like this one
could get with that
down with this
FUCK, ARE YOU ME?
Nice Black Sabbath.
Please guys, recommend me some album, I'm in my grandparents house, everyone is sleeping and all I have is my phone and headphones and no idea what to listen.
Thank you, guys.
nice circlecore, what is all of it? I'm >>61985392 and I keep circling around getting into dance music without ever really making the pluge. I liked burial - untrue ok, but I downloaded a mega link of the entire hyperdub catalog and didn't like more than about a fourth of it.
do you like the angelic process? they're my favorite band. plus them and yellow swans and a place to bury strangers are the only shoegaze related bands I know so I'mma rec you all three but I'mma guess you already know them.
Hadn't heard of Angelic process, so thanks!
I'm going to give them a hard listen right now.
I actually am pretty sparse on knowledge of current (2000s) shoegazing bands, mostly just working on the 90s stuff.
>I actually am pretty sparse on knowledge of current (2000s) shoegazing bands, mostly just working on the 90s stuff.
well they're a doomgaze band that was active between 1999 and 2007 when one of the two members committed suicide. their most acclaimed album is weighing souls with sand but their entire discography is really good.
theres more too
to be honest i dont really see the appeal of that stuff sometimes i like it when linked but id never really listen to it on my own u know
but im a loser so uhh
