ITT: Favourite album of all time.
Pic Related: Mine
There's so much to love on this album and so little to hate.
that's probably my favorite album but calling nico's stuff underrated cause she doesn't have the overblown praise of someone like lou reed or bowie is kinda silly, it's pretty much unanimously well regarded
Because they released lots of good songs
>Don't Look Back in Anger
>Stop Crying your Heart Out
>Cigarettes and Alcohol
>All Around the World
here we are
Stop Crying Your Heart out is not a 90s song - and it was the best part of an otherwise 5.5/10 album.
Don't Look Back in Anger, like most Oasis songs is an amazing song but has been played so much that you get sick of it. That doesn't detract from the fact it's a great tune.
King Crimson - Lark's Tongue in Aspic 2bh
>based percussion throughout
>god tier lark's tongue pt. 1
>accidentally made the heaviest metal at the time
>somehow manage to make feelsy prog
overall, one of the most broad and well composed albums that was ever created
Literally only heard Don't Look Back In Anger once in some music TV channel. First time I've heard it was in album format and even then it was cheesy as fuck. Oasis are good but overrated. Not even top 3 britpop bands.
Larks part 1, that fucking guitar riff after the wind chimes
fucking sizzles so fuckign hard my dick is diamnds god dman not my favorit KC album but damn is it the best of any of them
>Not even top 3 britpop bands.
Come the fuck on. Be realistic here. Listen to any of those songs >>61942581. Blur aren't better, neither are the stone roses or the chiefs. Oasis are overrated but they're the best of post-1990 britpop - and britpop died in 2000
Pic_related.jpg Probably one of the most beautiful albums of all time.
>Those wind chime things
>that fucking metal as fuck riff
>those excellent guitar runs
>that funky jam after the guitar runs
>that crunchy violin
don't pretend that ape of naples is better
"Frozen Warnings" is such an amazing song
Not sure if I prefer this or Discipline but they're both really great.
oh btw KC fans, I got a god tier recording of them in Glasgow, 73.
literally the best quality live recording ive ever heard of em
Imma uplaod it and post the link
I've never heard anything more perfect.
Pulp, Suede and Manic Street Preachers were all better. And I think Blur were better. Technically more interesting and messed around with different sounds. Also, 13 was fantastic, although I'm not a fan of their britpop stuff. Stone Roses weren't really britpop imho. I like Oasis, they made good tunes, a couple great albums but that's it. Also, their wall of sound was messy as fuck. They could have used some more minimal production.
here it is lads
King Crimson - Glasgow, 1973
I guess it's just opinion, then... Pulp and Blur are just not better than Oasis in any fashion in my opinion. They're just not.
I don't get how you can compare a band who made Definitely Maybe and WTSMG and Masterplan to Blur. It blows my mind - but then again, most of /mu/ are 15-22, so that explains a lot
You'll probably get shit but that album is underrated as fuck. Plebs expected s/t v2 (which is their B-side collection anyways) and instead got that glorious clusterfuck of hard riffs and dance sounds. Great album.
>Different Class is better than Anything Oasis has done.
... It's just not. Definitely maybe and WTSMG are 10/10, whereas Different Class is 8/10 at best. I'm willing to accommodate you if you're not British, or if you are British and below 25ish. But if you are of our nation and of a sufficient age and still don't accept Oasis as the defining band of the 90s then fucking die.
Ah... the young child resorts to ad hominem when presented with superior music.
Get the fuck out
No one can do what King Crimson do with this masterpiece.
I've listened to AM for 10 years, before I even knew what Reddit was. How about you form a genuine opinion about a band other than "lmao mu said Arctic monkeys is le Reddit tier XD".
Don't be scared to go against the popular opinion on mu. Think for yourself
Also if you think that the majority of people on this board dont use Reddit you're fooling yourself.
best live album i've heard
Amazing opening and closing tracks, lots of classics in between
I really don't care if it's /mu/core or meme tier. It's incredible. Still gives me chills nearly 200+ listens later.
I have not found a single album more memorable, diverse, talented, creepy, relentless, and just downright amazing.
Still my fav.
His next album might be dropping soon, so.. I don't know he must be perfect to outmatch this.
It just flows so well.
eh. It's alright
Yea, good pick
Pinkerton is better but ok
Pinkerton is better but ok
Abbey Road is better but ok
Oh hey! Good pic.
Pinkerton is better but ok
My GOAT is Xiu Xiu - The Air Force
do you talk to people outside of the internet?
if anything, arctic monkeys are what you fucking idiots would call 'normie music'.
there's a big world out there, most things don't happen in the internet. why the fuck do you people always associate everything with websites?
go back to /r9k/.
There's other albums I have stronger memories or associations with, or even listen to more often.
But as a whole album, beginning to finish, in terms of quality and pure enjoyment.
This takes the cake.
