CHECK OUT MY MUSIC VIDEO:
Stuff I enjoy
I like your ideas but I feel the delay and reverb is often a bit excessive and serves to muddy some of them up quite a bit. Still, nice work!
one man band, every release is different
>depressive black metal, post black metal

Here's my Bandcamp, and my new single that's on SC which I hope that you'll check out.
It's been a while since I wrote here, or uploaded music.
This new single called "Worth It" has some Toronto vibes, over "trappier" production than what I've previously done.
I return all feedback!
RAW EP - pieces of rawdata compiled together
Alldrig here, listened to some tracks and DUUUDE! THEY ARE GREAT! Maybe if you get some female vocals to go with it you wil have some serious hits!
>sporky punk-influenced tech metal
>FFO Bear Vs Shark, Thought Industry, Protest the Hero
I mostly like it but I think you need to strike a better balance with the effects. Obviously reverb and delay and stuff area a huge part of the sound you're going for but I think you overdo it a little.
I'm pretty okay with this. There's some interesting variety on it. I generally don't have the patience for the kind of music that rewards waiting for the build up but I think Stranded in a Starbucks ended up being my favorite song. I'm not a fan of effects-laden vocals though.
Drugs at the beach. You nailed the feeling at the very least. I'm not really into this stuff but I think it's obvious you did a pretty good job.
Dude maantis is great. I think the productions quality is a little too harsh for my tastes but I still think it's good. I don't really like the other thing though.
Not into your music at all but I do did the album art quite a bit. I can't quite explain why but I love your font choice. It has this sort of post-modern futurepast atemporal look to it that fits the picture well.
>ushering in a new era soon
gonna switch over bc page soon, make it a collective. Have a few projects on deck from multiple artists. anyone have any words of wisdom on the matter?
Also, what happened to people leaving feedback??? These threads are absolutely pointless otherwise.
recommended as always
"nothing" is the shit, I really really enjoyed that. the effects gave it a wonderful fullness paired with the alan watts and i forget whom else vocal samples. "everyone" & "summer 2012" aren't really my jam but still good. "Cycles" is gorgeous. The spoken word on "afterword" is a little too loud above the instrumental, i like the reverse sections though. the pacing was a little strange, I'd say "An hero" should go at the end imo. props on your first release mane
>electronic and hip-hop
I'll have a listen and comment on others now.
greatly appreciated thank you thank you (I'm Jaryk)
i agree with you about 'afterword,' i was thinking today about turning down the volume on the vocals for the first part actually. thanks a lot for your feedback, i'll listen to the songs with the pacing you recommended
Glowing Birds - dig the pavement/NMH style, wish the vocals were a tiny bit louder though, as i like your voice
Recitation - vox are louder on this one, but maybe the guitar is a bit over bearing. again, really like it apart from minor mixing gripes (which could well be your intention anyway to have vox low in the mix)
Lansing - probably my fave of the three I listened to, whole thing is dreamy and like american countryside
These instrutementals are really good - kinda cinematic and fully realised, and i like that you have a great deal of variety to them, just get a singer/vocalist bro.
Also, about 3 years ago or I was pretty active on doing collabs right here on /mu/. I ended up singing or playing on a bunch of others songs and got people to guest on mine, for example, I'm based in the north of england, but on my album these songs had /mu/ guests
eating animals - rapper from USA
Not Yet - female singer from phillipines
Black Russian - music in collab with elctro australian guy
manchester rain - beats by a texas electro guy
plus a bunch of others
Advice would be not to expect too much from others and dont expect too much from yourself, and be honest and open with others - if something isn't working then just say. try and have musical structures in place for people to add to your template rather than trying to meld things together
easiest way I found when looking for collabs was just to ask in soundcloud and bandcamp threads for singers or musicians
Thank you both a lot, I'm listening to your projects now (currently listening to Remains and it's fire as hell, really digging the first two tracks so far) and will leave feedback
I honestly have no complaints for your songs & production, it stands on its own without a vocalist. i think if you keep pushing yourself you'll just get better and better. Keep up the good work m8
Digging the instrumentals and your lyrics quite a bit, the punk shouting vocals aren't really my thing, i think your death growls sound better (though i think your screams sound cool in the higher register like "go on kick/kiss me i deserve it")
I've commented on you before, a few months ago, i was pretty drunk, but i remember absolutely loving when the sysnths come in on o brother, where art thou, like i proper buzzed off it, as it is so unexpected and its a lovely synth tone too
overall, my feedback hasnt changed since last time, i think the vox have a tendency to be slightly low in the mix, but they are delivered very well and in suiting with the genre (which i much profess to not being much of an expert at all - i don't really listen to metal), but anyway, it all technically sounds like excellent musicianship just hampered slightly with a slightly muddy mix
but y'know when them synths come in - like turning people to dust and that lead guitar on top, woof. very good indeed.
thanks a ton dog, Remains is my remains, my scraps of the era of last year. Glad i decided to release it.
thank you greatly for that feedback, it really means a ton to me. I'm actually working with a rapper currently on a project that'll probably drop around when i switch over. I'm definitely at a spot where it'll be connected, similar visions within the collective. I'm good at saying no I feel lol. I'm training a few friends on how to make music on their own so that'll beef up the roster in time too. Again, thank you for takin the time to respond.
Your material isn't my kinda thang but your production is proper. Eating Animals is weird af in a good way lol
New album in the works, will probably be out in a month or so. Our best music to date
>Post rock, instrumental rock, math rock
>lo fi rock and fucking roll
>you'll like it
damn, i keep forgetting about mu. checking through thread now.
>melodies entwined with emotions combined.
mutesite is a collective of outcasted musicians telling their stories in an instrumental experience.
this is basically the goal of every band, especially every instrumental band.
not bad though, you guys are pretty synchronized as a band
Is this Joplin? I usually associate you guys as last year's wave of /mu/sicians because even early on in the year your albums were making noise online. Sad to see you guys not being as invested in the board since you're almost guaranteed to have people love your material but I understand life can get busy.
I would love to hear your opinion of the album I just released. I linked it way above but I'll link it again fuck it
most one man bm bands are shit, but ya got some interesting stuff there! any next releases?
I agree, this stuff is way better than previous. Good listen with coffee
you deserve my rec
I'll be looking through and downloading stuff I like
>Future Funk'd Antlers RMX
>Beats 4 DAYS
