Do you write music high?
I'm curious. I started writing music at 12 or 13 and had a blast doing it. I was able to work for hours upon end writing new stuff. The fascination started dwindling recently (20 now), and I've only just discovered that weed helps me concentrate and feel the fascination I used to.

I know. I actually feel bad about it, I long for the days when I had never ending interest in writing new stuff but it just seems like a chore now. Maybe I'm depressed.

I used to. It worked on and off for me - sometimes my workflow would be improved, other times I just got too distracted.
I'm a relatively experienced muso though, so you can't be shit expecting weed to make your music good.

Creativity isn't a constant thing in life. It all comes in cycles. You shouldn't exclusively have music as your sole outlet. You'll burn out way fast. When I'm not feeling the juice, I don't force it, and then i just let life roll by. In a month or two you'll find enough shit has happened and you've hopefully heard some new music and new ideas are bumping around

It's been upwards of a year and a half.
Last thing I remember joyfully writing was back in August of 2013. It's still my go to song to play when I sit at a keyboard. I feel like fucking Brian Wilson.
I've written stuff since, but I haven't been able to like sit around and write a song from start to finish in forever. I used to have to pull myself away from the computer or the guitar. Now I work for a half hour or so and hate everything I'm doing and quit.
