everyone should listen to the person who posted before them, or who posts after them (whichever they haven't already heard)
also maybe don't bother with the recs, it just bloats your post and stretches the posts of others. if you want to make a big post, explain your music. tell us why you're making it.
i would enjoy seeing honest feedback here, so i will try to do my best to listen to as many people as i can until i pass out.
>anti-disco (whatever that means)
>drum focused, sorta mathrock influenced?
>some kinda darker, some noisier, some simpler
it's made out of hate for disco, and sorta musing the idea of a dyscotopian world and how i would act against it.
thanks for listening
This should be a fun listen >>61915892
that first track made my cat very curious. i was just listening to It's Album Time with Todd Terje, and this seems very much the antithesis of it. it's dark, brooding, and at times even funky. but the mixing is terribly off.there's no sort of consistency. you can't make someone turn up the volume for a few tracks, just to assblast their ear drum to hell. you've got some awesome stuff on here, just be sure to keep it sonically consistent.
Some solo stuff. My debut full-length turned 1 year last week!
A collaborative project. We're working on a debut album as well as making our live shwos fun.
>chillwave, psychedelic synthpop, experimental
> industrial, hip-hop instrumentals, glitch and sample-based, some crunchy breaks, dirty, aggressive beats
Hope people like it and thanks to those that have listened so far. Not going to work on anything new for a while until I've graduated from uni.
Brand new 2016 release
Through the Flat Fields is a sonic journey through a palette of cold colours
>Inspired by Coil, Aphex Twin, Wu tang Clan and Eno
Will return feedback when I get home
new Birch Barks tape is out now.
>ambient psych folk/pop
>limited to 25 cassette tapes with 80s style sticker labels
Started listening to Baathe: quite a heavy sound for shoegaze music. Kinda reminds me of those Oceansize or 35daysofstatic fellas.
Pretty neat stuff from the Maantis page.
Going to download the MisterPresident release. I really am enjoying this, the energy, the beats, the vibe of the whole thing. Totally my cup of tea.
Certainly very noisy sounding. I get the idea of trying to create an anti-disco, like an ironic take on it from what I get from this.
Some elements are appealing and reminds me of Merzbow and some Tobacco (Petrolung genuinely has me interested because of the use of looping which is something I find very appealing in noise).
Some of the synth based stuff reminds me of The Residents (whether that's intended or not, I don't know). It'd be interesting to see what else you could do with this anti-disco idea. Just curious, how long have you been producing music for?
Very enjoyable, surprised I didn't check this out in earlier bandcamp threads since I see you post your work quite often. Will download now.
This is me: >>61916047
>psychedelic hip hop, instrumental hip hop, plunderphonics, cloud rap, moody, IDM, dubstep, deep house, ambient, drum and bass, metro-ko, lonely night music to get high to
>concept album about giving up on ever loving someone again. you just go on longing and live with the loneliness because you know no matter how hard you try you will never love someone as much as you loved her
really like the wobbly sounds on this first track. the almost synth like one near the middle. skipped to the last track nest b/c i'm feeling rebellious. it's funky as shit omg i love this! is that two guitars, or just one with some sort of octaver? effecive use of let ring.
yesss the purple conductor tickle my ears in the best ways. gonna listen to the rest of this EP. loving the hard beat on this second track
i kinda know what you mean about the really loud tracks, i tried getting them closer in volume, but i was dumb and kept trying to make the quiet tracks louder.
>how long have you been producing music for?
i'd say like 4 years, but i started with guitar pro.
>Ambient, Modern Classical
>Solo Piano-based music
>Best used as a background music to noisy surroundings
Sea of Recs:
Will listen and give feedback to some of you soon-ish!
>first year of 52hertz whale's existence has brought 4 song EP influenced by genres such as post-punk, post-rock and post-hardcore combined with pop-like melodies. Tracks are constantly switching between noisy and dreamy vibes, often culminating into a loud sound catharsis. Live acts are characterised by singer's eccentric behavior on-stage.
one of my personal favourites, I have it downloaded on Spotify, often play it at creperie where i work.
>satirical stoner doom metal
>parody of bands like bongripper, weedeater, etc
>basically just me and my friend screwing around but it turned out pretty nicely
Really good, will probably download
>experimental, electronic, instrumental
Recommendations, will listen and leave feedback when I'm at my home computer
Ok, so I remember you! Maantis is fucking dope. Really nice compositions and good production as well. It's neat as hell and I think I had my own copy of Haaze somewhere around... Recommending this guy!
Hey, I like most of the your things here! I'll definitely support Longing and Unlasting, they are such weird pieces. The problem that I have with your stuff is that it is really irregular if it comes to volume. Maybe it's just me but some pieces a bit louder then others and I hate to change volume all the time. But it's just a minor nitpic, really!
Holy shit, my ears! Well, this was loud as fuck mate. Sadly, I can't say really much about your music. And I don't want to "harass" you or something but let me say it like this - it needs more variation, it lacks a fluid structure which is oddly repetitive and boring (although I guess it suppose to be ANTI-disco). But don't get too mad, it's an OK concept, just for on it's execution. And by God, change that cover now. It's ugly-ey!
>Post rock, instrumental rock, math rock
tight playing and production! Really enjoy the arrangements.
Very emotive playing; would love to hear more instruments and textures.
>Hardcore Punk, Noise Rock
>for fans of black flag, birthday party, flux of pink indians
Hey, thanks for listening! Your stuff is, well, punk. It's great for a punk release - fast, furious, grim, dark. Two small complains. One - productions are a bit compressed. It feels like all of the tracks were recorded in a vacuum but I guess that's just a thing of recording stuff on tape. Two - it needs to be more, I don't know, distinct. I don't know much about punk so don't get my word for granted but it sounds same-ish with most punk I've heard. But it's really nice quick refreshment which is awesome! Keep it up!
Jeez... I didn't know you would be considering a dick pic... I just mean to say that Paint created/Paint looking cover is not a way to go. That's it. No hard feelings
>trap-influenced dreampop, shoegaze
>music to fall asleep to
Love the energy and the lo-fi production, that guitar sound on Kuhn Poker sounds so weird that I really love it
>"deathened" black metal
>darkwave, dark ambient
Thanks man, and Its a guitar with a bass guitar playing the same line on the last song. those are those octaves you're hearing. I listened through your album too and tracks like Push Street and rice really stuck out to me. Great use of rhythm in these tracks.
Wow your production and style sound very surreal. I'm three tracks into Desolation for Days and I'm going to have to listen to the whole thing now. Also, thanks for downloading !
maantis here. Thank you all for your kind words. I'm at work at the moment, but if I haven't checked you out already I'll give you a listen as soon as I'm off. Keep on making sweet tunes.
also forgot to say
This was great! The Songwriting here is wonderful and your guitar tone is top notch . Also, The vocals have a cool feel to them that reminds me of the band Menomena. Huge thanks for playing my stuff where you work too, thats awesome
> Dark ambient, noise, electronics
NEW ALBUM OUT NOW!
>influences from ambient,avant folk,shoegaze and emo
>two post punk tracks
>one Oh Comely inspired track

I would love a full-length review but a r8 is also nice.
titles are all good words to sing in gutturals.
gonna try and listen through as much of this as i can. i'll follow up in a bit. really liking the intro once the bass drum came in.
>Of Montreal meets Guided By Voices
Ill go back through and listen to some throughout my workday.
>art-rock, post-rock, instrumental, minimalist
>doom metal, atmospheric rock
>lament for the tragedy that exists in the world while being aware of one's uninvolvement and reconciling that guilt with one's suburban first-world life
>title track on my new album
Was wondering what you guys thought of this writing-wise and thematically.
Stay gloomy, folks.
not a huge fan of the way some of the sounds are lining up on this second song. the contrast of the upbeat and dreary is kinda awkward, and only really stays at a level where the two main feels are at agreeing volumes for a short while. i like the parts of this song, but i almost think i would like it better as two songs.
i like the synth at the end of track 3 the most and am sad you cut it short.
tfw discordia isn't that discordant.
>Glitch, ambient, drone, idm, power electronics
really enjoying this guy's stuff. it has some beautiful synth harmonies and atmosphere.
Good afternoon! I hope everyone's doing well
I about to move on to a new project but to really close up things with my last one I'd like to sell out of all the cassettes for my last one first. The cassette is my first two EPs together as one package. I'm not sure if or when I'll return to this project but for the time being it's done.
I released another mini EP after the one that's out on cassette so be sure to check that out.
Thank you for all the love and support and god bless.

>Trip-Hop, Ambient, Vaporwave, Leftfield
not me, but great, highly underrated socially conscious hip-hop from 2001. he worked with flobots after this, which sucked and so does his other album. this one is excellent, though.
damn, first release from this thread I've decided to try out and it's a guy not only from my country but also from my hometown. What are the fucking odds?
Nice work my friend, I applaud you not getting stuck in any one genre but sort of blending them into what you enjoy (kinda like Andy Stott does on his latest album and live). Short songs are also a plus because more often than not people will create these long sprawling tracks that don't change a thing and won't even need it to convey their idea.
Work on those endings however as they are abrupt in that not-fun manner.
Gonna give feedback from the bottom up
The synth design here isn't all that encompassing or really all that great, and the vocals don't seem to really fit into the mix well. I mean, I enjoy the ideas that went into this, but it doesn't feel really all that unique enough or captivating
Rec, need to buy a cassette one of these days
I like the ideas and the overall concept of this as well, but sometimes the songwriting feels lacking and the minimalism cuts really into what you're trying to say IMO. When the songs do evolve, though, it feels organic and incredibly well done
Same dudes as above?
I'm in a similar boat as >>61920805, a lot of these guys I've reviewed in the past on several occasions. It's alright if people just drop links, it's loads better than just giving superficial positive feedback that doesn't do much. Unless I'm specifically asking for feedback in my post, I'm content with people just reccing me.
>Witch House and rave/sadness
I make electronic weird shits
>Punk, rock, noise, etc
First release on my new label. I have three copies left, and this will not be repressed. I know this isn't a forum for people that are usually into raw, gritty black metal, but hey maybe you will like the other side of the CS!
SACRAMENCE / EARTH MESMERISM split CS
>Sacramence, FFO Bone Awl, Darkthrone, Akitsa, NON
>Earth Mesmerism, FFO der bohren club of gore, death in june, etc
>gritty blackened punk b/w raw ambient synthwave

I released a collection fo demos that I made last year
Now we're on Bandcamp aswell! A young band from Sweden.
i dig this shit
Here's my Bandcamp, and my new single that's on SC which I hope that you'll check out.
It's been a while since I wrote here, or uploaded music.
This new single called "Worth It" has some Toronto vibes, over "trappier" production than what I've previously done.
I return all feedback!
>psychedelic punk, jazzish
>fuck if I know...
Will be giving feedback in future post
Alright so I'm really liking this a lot more than I should admit I am... ironically it sounds more like death disco... what's wrong with disco though?
I've said stuff about this before but I'll say it again
This is essentially what I wanna make but lack the comprehension to make... So this is wonderful. I like the various time shifts and key changes y'all got going
Oh boy this is interesting... at least the cover of "Caroline No" is... Maybe it's just because I'm so used to the original but this has such a different aesthetic going for it, but I wish there was some falsetto on there like what Brian had. Still a good effort though
Dude I remember when you were Hiding Places... nice to know this shit still rocks. Sorry I haven't kept in touch much, but if I ever do another CCH thing I'll let ya know
Maybe it's my preference in trap but I wish the hi-hats would skitter around more.
This stuff sorta reminds me of Monster Magnet... and I love Monster Magnet. Although is that a distorted bass you used...? It feels like it drowns everything else out
>Experimental Instrumental Hip-Hop
>In a factory
>ambient, drone, noise
Wow anon that's not bad. Pretty neat stuff sounds pretty nice I like the different stuff you do on it. I think you should kick up the zany quirkiness though, there's not enough fun instruments and sounds.
I was being sarcastic, you specifically asked not to be given feedback.
I felt like the hip hop elements were totally out of place though, and I absolutely despise that weird tinny percussion on every single top 40 rap song that you use on track three. I think I heard a "nigga" on track four.
But it was pretty nice anon, I like the album art too.
And that was only half sarcasm, if aphex twin never used wacky noises and interesting bells and whistles it'd probably be kinda boring.
Returning all feedback
Very interesting to say the least. The hook on Dark Angel is dope and the interjecting of black metal screams with the rapping works pretty well. My only criticism is the mixing/mastering. (Needs to be louder overall and vocals should be a little softer)
>sad girl post punk
>drug haze feelings
