ITT: Opinions that would get you arrested by the /mu/ police
Experimental music can be bad
Gangsta rap is awesome
Blues are overrated
Swans sound like Primus
ICP isn't that bad
David Bowie should have done more musicals
Goth > Emo
Justice only made one good song
Radiohead is just a prototype for Muse
Kanye West is mediocre
Lil Wayne is great
Vaporwave should be enjoyed unironically
Ska Punk is great
Dragonforce and ManOWar is good metal
go to bed zappa
>He only has very few good tracks but so much potential.
i kind of agree with that. his best songs are when he sounds the most like mac demarco (baby blue, out getting ribs). he's shown with a new place 2 drown and zoo kid that he's capable of branching out into multiple genres sucessfully, but i hope he goes back to king krule soon.
some differing opinions here....definitely genesis but i think stress is still p good, especially with the video. we are your friends also holds up okay
Lookin' all pretty in that Hawaiian lookin' shirt
If she tryna flirt, I'mma make that bitch squirt
I'm a young gl-gl-Glock lovin' pervert
Accidentally fallin', cause I wanna see that skirt
Insert then hit the dirt, creepin' round the cut
Prolly throw it up, not throwin' up gang signs
I'm throwin' up guns
Eat her like sushi, then I beat the pussy up
Smoked out with my cock out
Let these hoes know I ain't no boy scout
Not the same anon, but IMO 68-82 are the best for music. Perfect blend of classical, folk, jazz and rock. Rock really evolved, we started to see the beginnings of metal, and prog was at its height. 80s was fantastic too, but I didn't like how the musical complexity was lost to midi drum tracks and some of the best prog bands turned to pop.
Deceit fucking sucks. This Heat also does, generally speaking.
I'd argue it is more than it isn't
sometimes, definitely. most of the good ones are either just ambient or modern classical, though
I've only heard Safe as Milk but it's fucking great
>Kendrick is a talentless hack
>Drake is the top rapper in the game
My brother listens to shit like Hoobastank and other 2000's radio pop-rock, and shitty rap like Chief Keef ironically, what level is he on?
He also unironically enjoys Periphery, so I don't know.
>I like many kinds of metal, rock and punk, but I don't like Queen
>Lil Wayne is great
Have tried my best not to like him, but really can't tbqh. I remember listening to No Love by Eminem and Lil Wayne when it came out and hating myself when realized I loved that song
90s missed the greatest album of all time by 1 year. Unlucky 1990s. Pic very much related.
arguably, music became more complex with the introduction of midi. You could sequence out tracks no human could play. You have IDM, an undeniably complex genre, as a result of midi.
Curve is a far better band than either MBV or Slowdive.
Radiohead are not good neither bad, their best album is 7.5, nothing more, I just can't understand what's the mindblowing part of their music, the electonic part feels so bland that I can't really like it, the rock part feels so generic that can't like it either.
Memerap has the melodic complexity of a train horn.
Beta Indie just regurgitates decades old formulas.
Most music is listened to for the image, not the actual music. Basking in reflected glory.
Their music sounds so half-assed. "shoegaze" for the sake of being "shoegaze". Same tier as watered-down acts like Garbage. SPC ECO is aite tho.
I still enjoy pop punk. brb deleting myself before the /mu/ police can arrest me.
Sounds like you've given them a one time perfunctory listen. After Cu ckoo they really never sounded shoegaze again and got more electronic. Go listen to Pubic Fruit and tell me they're just "shoegaze for shoegaze sake." That's just stupid.
Go to bed Montie, that said the second part is true
I'll fight you
Common opinion, still wrong
If you were exposed to what gets played at my job, you would be for emo
>Kid A is the only good Radiohead album OK Computer is okay
>Though it's still not a great album, Dead Petz would have been more liked if Grimaboueleased it
>Metal is better the slower it gets and worse as it speeds up
>Kind of Blue doesn't compare to Miles other well acclaimed albums
>Morrissey in his prime js more attractive than Panda Bear and Bowie in his prime
>Trump's shitty Jam was better than Sander's music, one of the few nice things I'd say about the guy
>Pitchfork's Eminem Show review is the best thing on their site
>1039 Smoothed out Slappy Hours and Kerplunk are two of the best pop-punk albums
> /mu/ for the most part either parrots or contradicts either Pitchfork, Fantano, or Scarruffi, practically none of the users know a damn thing about music and will rarely think for themselves.
Popular music, in a wide sense, has become simpler over the last few decades in several categories: timbre, harmonic complexity and dynamic range.
It's scientifically proven.
