I decided to listen to this man's album Be, because I understand he is supposed to be 'soulful', 'invigorating', and things I generally do not associate with rap.
I went to the song "The Food", apparently a live recording.
>oh haha like the stage name? That's funny
>that annoying faggot Kanye west starts bleating on the mic
>WALKED IN THE CRIB, GOT TWO KIDS, AND THE BABY MOMMA LATE
>obnoxious niggers yelling phrases like po-po and d'oh in the background
>loud earraping piano sample
>turn the song off after 20 seconds
Jesus CHRIST. How can anyone stand this horrible music other than redditors?
Google tells me this is a producer, not a rapper
Guy that uses a lot of bird analogies? No thanks
That's the 'did the man who invented college' guy right? Lmao
I don't know Bone Thugs n Harmony (which is a cringe name) but wasn't Akon that faggot responsible for a bunch of terrible RnB hits in 09 and 10?
>Hopsin, and hes okay
Nah, he's not quite as bad as a lot of people make him out to be but the only good thing about him is he has a great flow. If he had better content he could be legitimately good though.
When will this hip hop meme end?
tommy wright iii and memphis in general
That would be why I didn't know, I've heard next to no Memphis rap. I like Bone Thugs though so I'll check out some Memphis rappers. Anyone have that chart that was going around a while back?
>this many assblasted white teens
Sorry if I don't think "GETTING MY MONEY RIGHT, TIL THE BLUE AND WHITE, PO PO, PO PO, PO PO" are good lyrics, fags. Be sucks and so does Common
>Everyone goes on about Young Thug harmonizing but Bone Thugs did it first
>arguing about rap music with white middle-class teenagers on a 4chan board is one of life's great pleasures
I almost took that bait, bro.
I never understood why Common is praised for having "different" lyrics - he is a massive misogynist and it's not hard to tell
That said Water for Chocolate is a 9/10 album and he is one of the best rappers of all time for technical ability
You know something doesn't have to be lyrical just because it's rap right? CloudDead didn't do their shit because they thought they were lyrical masterminds, but they wanted to use their vocals and the flow of rapping as an instrument to complement the production. They couldn't give a fuck what they said on that whole album
