Other bands like Nirvana for instance were not like that. Nirvana was basically just the Kurt Cobain backup band. Mr. Bungle was the perfect storm of legendary talent, and Mike was the face of it all, the delicious cherry on top of an already delicious sundae.

He was the ambassador that allowed the amazing talent of the combo that was Mr. Bungle to be brought into our lives. For the record, Nirvana is one of my all time favorite bands. And they didn't have enough time to reach their full potential before Kurt died. Nirvana had 3 studio albums over 5 or so years, while Queen lasted from the 70s to the 90s and were crazy prolific. Maybe if Nirvana was allowed to stick around longer the story might be different, but I guess we will never know.
