I buy both vinyl and CDs. Fags taking sides are the biggest fags.

I buy vinyls because I find them fun and I am intrigued by the way they work. Yes they aren't the most superior listening format but I like them as a novelty. Doesn't mean I don't buy CDs or download FLACs, because I do.

Can't abide paying full price for new stuff when I would rather hear my music on my PC whilst im doing shit because sounds better and greater control or my phone.

Only time i've bought vinyl is when I've seen something I'm interested in for a crazy pricefor eg managed to pick up AnCo, Tune Yards and Chemical Brothers LP's for under $15 on separate occasions.

It is nice building a collection and having the physical media but I could never see myself buying brand new shit thats just a waste of money, Im glad I got what i have how I did.

I often wonder why I buy vinyl.

The main reason I justify it is I'm giving money to an artist I've come to love through listening to illegal downloads of their hard work.

Most of my music is in a digital format which I've downloaded, however when I find something I truly love, I feel it's my duty to pay for it and support the people who were behind it.

This, as a vinylfag I clean each record with every listen so it doesn't crackle and pop. One of the drawbacks of vinyl is there's surface noise regardless, especially if it's a flimsy 80s disk.

Cleaning records isn't even hard. Get a spray bottle, mix water with some isopropyl and use a microfibre cloth and you won't hear those crackles. Not to mention there's plenty of great music that isn't available to buy on digital formats. My favorite release of last year was vinyl only, for example.
