eh, it's more because they weren't particularly good dad rock.

Everyone lost and is still losing their shit since Bowie died, so it's not that there's necessarily any huge aversion to older music for the most part.

That being said The Eagles did make some catchy tunes so RIP. I'm not gonna be an edgelord.
