In that case, I think reccing them is a far better response then saying "/mu/drone lMAO". A lot of "/mu/drones" genuinely enjoy these albums and like it or not, albums that /mu/ likes are usually acclaimed for reasons (Reasons you and I don't always agree with, but reasons nonetheless). There's a difference between blind consumption and a well-reasoned popular opinion and it's not a distinction we can make in a anonymous image board site

And it may not change the person being a /mu/ drone, but hypocrisy is not something to be looked up upon. If you're going to criticize someone's taste of being formulaic then it's best to make sure your's isn't as well. It just strikes me as very insecure when people refuse this request because someone who is truly secure in their taste would post their favorites no problem. It literally takes one to three minutes and if that's too much for you then please tell me what you do in the average minute that is so much more valuable. It's literally the premise of this thread to post your taste and be judged yet they are refusing for the sake of winning an argument

And yes, I agree, the /mu/ essentials are a good place to start. Which is why it makes no sense for people to accuse people of being "drones" simply because they happen to like the essentials.
