Post your top 10, others guess personality.
You have a group of friends that really like you, yet you feel like you don't really connect with them.
Not my favorites, just the first 8 and 9s to come to mind.
My man. You should branch out on your taste a little though, man. What about those albums do you like? /mu/ might be able to recommend you some more stuff. I think you're probs a first year student thats missing home and has turned to some music, a lot of it sadder, to cope a little. Gets better, dude.

#1 is The Outfield - Play Deep because "Your Love" is the greatest song ever written.
You have a handful of friends who think you're well adjusted, but secretly you are sad and unfulfilled.
You're calm and laid back. You have a fascination with lucid dreaming, whether you've done it or not.
A change happened in your life recently that you weren't prepared for and don't know how to cope with.
Which albums depends what day you catch me on but generally it's these artists mostly.
You get heaches often but are otherwise okay
You try to tell yourself that you're happy but you aren't really sure how you feel
You want to travel across Europe
Not right now. When I was a teenager yes.

Thanks for all your (You)'s everyone.
i admire this collage actually, relatively diverse couple of albums that sort of make sense together. generally progressive all around
mega neet with sneaker pimps and gza thrown in there. i like airospace melt-banana and kool a.d. but lol
I mean yeah, I like other albums, but like I've found most the essentials to be pretty up my ally. Except maybe anything Death Grips, Animal Collective, Kanye West, american football and Burial.
i mean if thats how u see it thats cool i guess. I mean isnt this supposed to be your favorite albums so I guess im gonna post the ones I listen to the most and generally enjoy the most.
So i'm cool with that.
Ever notice how the people criticizing people for liking the essentials never reveal their own taste?
Very, very funny.
Well in that case my guess for them is they like to follow the crowd due to a need to fit in and/or have a group of people to bond with.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
You're a pretty mellow guy, sometimes gets lost in the melancholia though
You lie in bed sometimes and wonder where the time goes
You think there is beauty in the world, but sadness obscures it often
That period between autumn and winter, where the golden light blazes through the browned trees, is your favourite time of the year
Thats not the point, your defense mechanism is to attack the person making the point and get them to post their top 10 for you to call shit and deflect the point away from you being a /mu/ drone.
I dunno, you're probably all white, low to middle class, 17-23 years old and either NEET or in education.
Arctic monkeys-whatever people say i am thats what im not
Notorious B.I.G.-ready to die
misfits-legacy of brutality
van halen-for unlawfull carnal knowledge
My chart is >>61831362
It's funny because a lot of people criticizing people for being "/mu/drones" are doing exactly that. They criticize someone for being a /mu/drone regardless if they are or not, they're asked to post their taste to establish whether you have to authority to say that or not, and they always refuse because "muh ad hominems". They think they're above this board, when in reality they're insecure plebs who are more interested in music as a fashion accessory and how "patrician" it is than an actual artform and/or entertainment..
They don't need to post theirs to prove they have authority, regardless of what they listen to that does not change the person being a /mu/ drone at all.
Its got nothing to do with insecurities or fashion and any other bullshit excuses you can come up.
There are thousands of absolutely amazing albums in the world across a huge spectrum of musical styles, the chances of not just one person but half a thread having the same favourite albums as each other just shows they have no taste yet, just listened to a bunch of ''essentials'' and BNM.
Nothing wrong with that at 17yo I guess, got to start somewhere.
sorry for your upbringing
Has thought about joining a band on at least one occasion.
Started going on /mu/ last year.
Owns at least two synthesizers. Pretty cool guy.
The image omitted an album for whatever reason.
will drink anything alcoholic
struggles between being alone but not lonely
has trouble committing.
In that case, I think reccing them is a far better response then saying "/mu/drone lMAO". A lot of "/mu/drones" genuinely enjoy these albums and like it or not, albums that /mu/ likes are usually acclaimed for reasons (Reasons you and I don't always agree with, but reasons nonetheless). There's a difference between blind consumption and a well-reasoned popular opinion and it's not a distinction we can make in a anonymous image board site
And it may not change the person being a /mu/ drone, but hypocrisy is not something to be looked up upon. If you're going to criticize someone's taste of being formulaic then it's best to make sure your's isn't as well. It just strikes me as very insecure when people refuse this request because someone who is truly secure in their taste would post their favorites no problem. It literally takes one to three minutes and if that's too much for you then please tell me what you do in the average minute that is so much more valuable. It's literally the premise of this thread to post your taste and be judged yet they are refusing for the sake of winning an argument
And yes, I agree, the /mu/ essentials are a good place to start. Which is why it makes no sense for people to accuse people of being "drones" simply because they happen to like the essentials.
>struggles between being alone but not lonely
Needs to surround themselves with others and ultimately strives to be the center of attention even if it means performing debasing actions.
This person likes to think they exist on the fringe of society, yet they still try to be socially acceptable. Hopes to be that "quirky" friend.
This is me.
At a juncture in their life where they are wondering where to go from here? They maintain a witty disposition in public, but struggle with indecision behind closed doors.
