i like the brief sections of accoustic guitar, but once that feeback loop was established, not much was done to it. or anything. no real pedals or alterations to keep me interested. it's even a little to harsh for a hypnosis type effect.

Is there a way to see exactly what day an album was posted? Its only a problem when the album is "locked" and the actual release day is later. And by problem I mean I'm concerned with keeping up. Yesterday by sheer coincidence I found a "locked" album thats coming out next week.
I accidentally posted this is the wrong thread already, but here we are anyway.

Very interesting textures right off the bat. the thin drums & rhythm don't really fit where you're going. I can tell you put a bit of work into this but there's way too much mono bullshit throughout the whole album, is it that hard to pan or add a tiny bit of reverb? Some great instrumentation here and there. I love your voice, you've got energy and passion even though it's a bit off-key at times, take it easy on the vocal distortion. Track #13 is pretty kicking

Wow, you've got something going here but I don't know if it's $7 worth of going. distorts way too much but the chords are great. a bit too reliant on basic loops. drum production is weak. it's not terrible but it's critical to have fantastic drums in production like this. will be keeping an eye on this cause you're so damn interesting.

this sounds like the reason piano. not a good thing. thing about solo piano recordings is that they have to sound immaculately perfect. this doesn't. sorry. composition-wise it's not terrible, but the fact that you don't care about clipping/distortion tells me you're not particularly experienced with producing albums' worth of music. GOD OF FEEDBACK WHAT IS YOUR NAME ?
>>61846082
just cause it's not mono doesn't mean it's stereo. i'm just saying it needs a bit more panning & widening etc. shouldn't be too hard to understand, right?
>>61846336
don't you worry your little head about it, friend. just make good music and make sure to release something physical
>>61846336

>>61846410
>just cause it's not mono doesn't mean it's stereo
can you pkeas explain?
>>61846528
i think i know what he means. for example when drums are 100% left and vocals are 100% right, it's hard to call that a stereo mix, it's more of a dual mono thing. it doesn't create a sound image as much as it does two entirely separate sounds.
>>61846528
he just did...
> it needs a bit more panning & widening etc. shouldn't be too hard to understand, right?
>>61846590
oh, ok, i get it
thanks

i didn't understand those words tho, sorry

My song Deceiver is definitely in stereo you deaf bastard. And the drums are definitely not terrible. Blow it out your ass.

this is a real treat to listen to. utterly amazing. great sounds from each instrument, and then the vocals kick in. WOW. will buy a physical release right away if you provide it. love how you treated the drums and hihats in particular, even though they get a bit fucked during the loud parts. production isn't perfect but the song makes sense, especially when the piano / mandolin kick in. lovely listen, thanks for sharing.
>>61846747
mate, your stuff is nearly as mono as it gets. sorry. you threw some FX on the vocals, that's about it, and it's not helping much.
>>61846958
You're deaf as it gets, everything is double-tracked and panned left/right with stereo enhancers on the master.

>mate, your stuff is nearly as mono as it gets. sorry. you threw some FX on the vocals, that's about it, and it's not helping much.
seems to be a stereo phasing effect on guitars... anyways I don't get why you're such a stickler for stereo. pet sounds was mono afterall!
>>61846958

The panGod is a merciful God, and shall answer your prayers.
Very good collection of sounds, but the drums are getting buried underneath all the other signals. Vocals are too sharp and entirely unrelated to the rest of the signal. Synths are great-sounding. You need either a lead singer or lead guitarist. I'm hearing something very close to it. Have a good one.

Very noisy, abrasive sound - however, production-wise, there's absolutely nothing
wrong here. All frequencies are right where they should be - quite a commendable thing on its own. Could definitely work for a soundtrack. On its own? I seriously don't know.

thank you. i couldn't decide what i wanted that song to be until i got pretty much finished, and by that point it was pointless to go and fix the instrumental since i'd have to do all the production again on a little one-shot. it was only meant to be something to work on that wasn't the album i'm struggling with. nana's got cancer and it's pretty much all about trying to understand life and death, it's kinda fucking me up.

Nah, sex is a low priority for me so it's whatevs. It's just confusing to me how someone could place that much priority on something so irrelevant to a song's overall presentation, let alone ignore the fact their criticism isn't even accurate. If he had listened to the song in full I'm sure he'd have had a different opinion.

mate, it's no problem. it's just that your stereo placement is balls. i really don't know which other way to put it. but i hope you have a nice day.
>>61854277
Not what I said, actually. I just said sex is a low priority for me. As in idaf if I have it or not. After all the fucked up, weird sex I've had in my life it just doesn't rank high on what I want out of life.
>>61854359
There's a chance I may need to listen to the song on a different set of headphones, but on my speakers, my sound system, and my earbuds, it sounds fine and you're the only person so far to even mention it at all. I'll look into tweaking it, I guess. There's a shit ton of effort put into it though, I just think it's more likely that the singular person complaining is full of it rather than the scores of people who had told me it sounds dope, nothing personal.
Hope you have a good one too, man.

It's true though. 6 months of weird foursomes with my ex and our best friend led to one of the most devastating emotional experiences of my life when we all switched relationships and I got dumped, left with nothing and watching my best friend and high school sweetheart build a life together. Something about that pain overshadows the memory of tag-teaming your best friend's wife, you know? I've had all the weird sex I need in a lifetime. I've had one-night stands, they do nothing for me. I just want someone I can place trust and faith in and build a good life with.
Now THERE'S a TMFI for you guys.
>>61854605
mate, i'm with you 100%. none of my friends understand it. i don't give a shit. that level of trust is hard to find though.
>>61854689
