i like the brief sections of accoustic guitar, but once that feeback loop was established, not much was done to it. or anything. no real pedals or alterations to keep me interested. it's even a little to harsh for a hypnosis type effect.

Love the vox, rec this. Kinda reminds me of girl band.
I live for this shit, listen to this
Is there a way to see exactly what day an album was posted? Its only a problem when the album is "locked" and the actual release day is later. And by problem I mean I'm concerned with keeping up. Yesterday by sheer coincidence I found a "locked" album thats coming out next week.
I accidentally posted this is the wrong thread already, but here we are anyway.
Check out Epyllia, Dreamspoiler, Jr. Adleberg, Birch Barks, and Joplin Rice.

Here's my Bandcamp, and my new single that's on SC which I hope that you'll check out.
It's been a while since I wrote here, or uploaded music.
This new single called "Worth It" has some Toronto vibes, over "trappier" production than what I've previously done.
I return all feedback!

Hey, just a reminder I'm gonna be dishing out reviews of stuff released from last year, submit your albums to
I'm taking so long to get started because I set everything up like a tournament:
and once it begins I can't go back and change stuff, so I want to have as comprehensive of a list as possible
heres some peeps that have already been added:
you guys know the drill
noisy, bad recording (mics placed too far away, too muddy), nobody plays in time. some good composition, arrangement and chords though, love the 60s feel. you make it sound like more than 2 guys working at it. track 3 is good. I honestly don't see the point of keeping parts of the album unstreamable
decent ideas but mixing is terrible (drums get buried etc). i can't stomach your out of tune vocals
think i've heard this before but it's very enjoyable. when are you going to release physical
unlistenable distorted mono trash
i fucking hate paulstretch, sorry
this is pretty cool, lots of different elements. you should try to record in time. great percussion recording. i'd like to actually hear what you're singing. try to maintain some volume coherence throughout the album. track 3 is sweet.
distorted & meandering mono bullshit but there's some deece tones. i'd like to hear track #2 if it wasn't so clipped & mono
think I heard & reviewed you before but it's good stuff, vapory. i'd like to hear more than the same 2 7th/9th chords throughout the whole album, but I get that this was a soundtrack effort
Wow, just bought the CD. absolutely excellent. a little muddy around 100-300hz, drums get buried often, lacks clarity around 10khz. guitar tones are lovely. release a tape and I'll buy it too. great arrangements. you obviously put a bit of work into this & I recommend you get a proper engineer to produce it. will be keeping an eye on this.
Good stuff but I don't think Anthony is doing a particularly good job mastering. needs a bit more punch and clarity around 7-12khz. other than that it's well mixed. one thing I LOVE is how clear the piano bits are, that's very unique.
Good stuff, great price on the tape + shipping, that's a purchase. cheers
quit music now
terrible shame about the mono but some good stuff. put out a stereo tape
creative and experimental musique concrete style, just how I like it.
you put a bit on work into this but it's sounding pretty digital and dull, also very muddy once you get going, there's barely any stereo placement, drums sound like ass. too many <1 minute tracks. sorry
good ideas, bad production. drums and piano samples are SHIT.
Good sounds. would really like to see this produced properly, as it feels completely unmastered. You really have make those passages justice man. very enjoyable listen though, will be keeping an eye on you.
bad mono sound. sorry
No stereo and I dunno what's going on with your flakey voice but it's deece indie music. terrible production
And look up unicornicopia and eartheater whike ur at it
what you got for me pham
good songs with too much reverb and zero production
fucking terrible. sorry
wayy too compressed and clipped, to the point that I don't understand why you'd do something like that. you don't play/sing in time on a single track
good stuff, could be a bit punchier but it's deece chill trap
I don't know what's going on here. fascinating. excruciatingly bad vocals & production. you're not fooling anyone rapping about cadillacs in Norway
not bad. sounds are a bit basic.
switching between mono & stereo = bad
other than that it sounds very good. love this song. good job man. distorting a little bit too much.
Very interesting textures right off the bat. the thin drums & rhythm don't really fit where you're going. I can tell you put a bit of work into this but there's way too much mono bullshit throughout the whole album, is it that hard to pan or add a tiny bit of reverb? Some great instrumentation here and there. I love your voice, you've got energy and passion even though it's a bit off-key at times, take it easy on the vocal distortion. Track #13 is pretty kicking
Good song, good lyrics (WB fan here) but it's mono. care to explain why?
mono bullshit again. besides the abysmally bad drums there's some decent sludge guitar tones, that's about the only redeeming thing I can find here.
>you're not fooling anyone rapping about cadillacs in Norway
my first EP posted to bandcamp, more to come.
>(feedback is always gr8)
I understand I missed typing an actual review to a couple, I'll get back to you in this post
terribly noisy bullshit. compression is so bad I can't believe somebody managed to upload this. you're what's ruining bandcamp. sorry
very good soundscapes. soundtracky feel. distorted vocals aren't particularly appealing, wish you'd ditch the mono.
Arriba! probably the best production of all of these tracks so far. you could probably reduce the drum reverb a tiny tiny bit. some good stuff in here for sure. the basic saw waves get a little bit boring after a while.
Wow, you've got something going here but I don't know if it's $7 worth of going. distorts way too much but the chords are great. a bit too reliant on basic loops. drum production is weak. it's not terrible but it's critical to have fantastic drums in production like this. will be keeping an eye on this cause you're so damn interesting.
it's a piano track, it's alright. good roomy reverb sound on it, good composition. nothing spectacular. i don't have time to review everything you've ever done.
REALLY great use of samples here. Could use a bit crisper production but I'm digging it. I used to listen to a ton of old trip hop records that sounded just like this. I would love to spin this on my tape deck, can you do that for me?
Very thin drums & bass. You need to lower the hihats around 8-9khz, they're sharp as fuck. Good songs other than that. Love the vocals and guitars.
Terrible sound, terrible sample warping. I don't know anything reedemable about this. soz
Bay Kee - Wonder Wild
Debut album out today
>indie rock, female vocalist
listened to porno. fascinating combination of elements. could use a bit wider stereo placement. gets a bit cacophonic. you're onto something here though. take it easy on the distortion.
this sounds like the reason piano. not a good thing. thing about solo piano recordings is that they have to sound immaculately perfect. this doesn't. sorry. composition-wise it's not terrible, but the fact that you don't care about clipping/distortion tells me you're not particularly experienced with producing albums' worth of music. I like the idea you're going for so I wish I could tell you something nicer than that, sorry.
Interesting experimental tones, nothing spectacular.
Everything is better live my friend. Recording process for this is fantastic. Love the drums so much, very full & perfect. Vocals are terrible.
"Sorry, that something isn't here"
I've already reviewed this but it's good, you need someone better on the compressor controls cause it's ducking like crazy. Good vocals and guitar tone. The compression is fucking with the drums a lot, the drum reverb in particular.
Good sorrowful stuff, I almost cried to this. You need more stereo and less reverb
Great sound & energy. Great chords. Understand this is live so it's not perfect, but you sound like a fun band. have a good one
Bad attempt at spacey stuff. sorry
Dude thank you so much for your support and especially for your helpful feedback on the production. Hopefully in the future I could work with a proper engineer but until then I bought some better mics and equipment so hopefully the next album will be much clearer all around. I'll be keeping in mind what you said about the specific hz ranges as well.
just cause it's not mono doesn't mean it's stereo. i'm just saying it needs a bit more panning & widening etc. shouldn't be too hard to understand, right?
don't you worry your little head about it, friend. just make good music and make sure to release something physical
i think i know what he means. for example when drums are 100% left and vocals are 100% right, it's hard to call that a stereo mix, it's more of a dual mono thing. it doesn't create a sound image as much as it does two entirely separate sounds.
this is a real treat to listen to. utterly amazing. great sounds from each instrument, and then the vocals kick in. WOW. will buy a physical release right away if you provide it. love how you treated the drums and hihats in particular, even though they get a bit fucked during the loud parts. production isn't perfect but the song makes sense, especially when the piano / mandolin kick in. lovely listen, thanks for sharing.
mate, your stuff is nearly as mono as it gets. sorry. you threw some FX on the vocals, that's about it, and it's not helping much.
>mate, your stuff is nearly as mono as it gets. sorry. you threw some FX on the vocals, that's about it, and it's not helping much.
seems to be a stereo phasing effect on guitars... anyways I don't get why you're such a stickler for stereo. pet sounds was mono afterall!
It's cute that you think that
>Besides, why is this mono/stereo thing such a big deal anyway?
I've always said feel free to ignore my reviews if you don't like them. Not caring about both channels is pretty bad imo
Oh man. That production on this is great and those vocals are truly special!
Like a lot of the mellowness. It reminds me of Yvette young. Wish there was a little
More drum presence in the mix. Just my preference
Here's my own EP that recently released!
> progressive metal
>not caring about both channels
Wow you really are deaf, there's all kinds of attention to both channels on my song but sure, whatever. Keep nitpicking bullshit details of production instead of focusing on the music, bruh,
I made this the other day after the girl I want told me she wanted me. Melancholia ensued. It was weird.
The song itself is about being out of the sanctuary of home environment.

[great instrumentation, fantastic vocals]
[excellent jazz fusion rock]
[fantastic music, highly reccomend]
[excellent prog metal, i'm buying it once i have the money]
have fun at your concert. my first sucked only because i became incredibly self-aware with everything i did on stage, so just lose yourself. have a good time.
Please fucking destroy me Based Panning God-senpai. You probably can't say anything that I haven't already heard or that will hurt my feelings but I'm interested in hearing what you have to say anyway. Unless you've gotten me previously and can remember what you said. Then just a quick summary is fine.
>new stuff in progress
The panGod is a merciful God, and shall answer your prayers.
Very good collection of sounds, but the drums are getting buried underneath all the other signals. Vocals are too sharp and entirely unrelated to the rest of the signal. Synths are great-sounding. You need either a lead singer or lead guitarist. I'm hearing something very close to it. Have a good one.
can the omnipotent panGod spare enough good will to crack into the clusterfuck of stereo sound that is >>61851333 perhaps?
holy shit this is gorgeous
prett good dude.
digging the FUCK out of this
literally just dropped this album like 30 seconds ago
>early elephant 6 sounding
The panGod abideth.
Very noisy, abrasive sound - however, production-wise, there's absolutely nothing
wrong here. All frequencies are right where they should be - quite a commendable thing on its own. Could definitely work for a soundtrack. On its own? I seriously don't know.
>for fans of teen suicide, elvis depressedly
thank you. i couldn't decide what i wanted that song to be until i got pretty much finished, and by that point it was pointless to go and fix the instrumental since i'd have to do all the production again on a little one-shot. it was only meant to be something to work on that wasn't the album i'm struggling with. nana's got cancer and it's pretty much all about trying to understand life and death, it's kinda fucking me up.
thanks again, i'm glad the bit i thought i sucked at is actually not as bad as i thought.
Don't browse the bc general often. Is this man well known? Do you guys like him? Personally I think his Daft Punk remix is amazing and his other stuff isn't bad.
here's how i view it. i have the released stuff, and then i have a folder of upcoming/unreleased stuff as a sort of treat for the people who enjoy my music. now, if i was solely releasing nothing but unfinished songs, then i'd understand that.
Hey man, you guys brought it up.
Nah, sex is a low priority for me so it's whatevs. It's just confusing to me how someone could place that much priority on something so irrelevant to a song's overall presentation, let alone ignore the fact their criticism isn't even accurate. If he had listened to the song in full I'm sure he'd have had a different opinion.
Not what I said, actually. I just said sex is a low priority for me. As in idaf if I have it or not. After all the fucked up, weird sex I've had in my life it just doesn't rank high on what I want out of life.
There's a chance I may need to listen to the song on a different set of headphones, but on my speakers, my sound system, and my earbuds, it sounds fine and you're the only person so far to even mention it at all. I'll look into tweaking it, I guess. There's a shit ton of effort put into it though, I just think it's more likely that the singular person complaining is full of it rather than the scores of people who had told me it sounds dope, nothing personal.
Hope you have a good one too, man.
It's true though. 6 months of weird foursomes with my ex and our best friend led to one of the most devastating emotional experiences of my life when we all switched relationships and I got dumped, left with nothing and watching my best friend and high school sweetheart build a life together. Something about that pain overshadows the memory of tag-teaming your best friend's wife, you know? I've had all the weird sex I need in a lifetime. I've had one-night stands, they do nothing for me. I just want someone I can place trust and faith in and build a good life with.
Now THERE'S a TMFI for you guys.
It is, but you'll find that when you focus on what's important, serenity, love, truth, and passion, life has a way of working for you. That's the theme of the second half of my album, and something I'll always stand by.
Since I've already posted the link to my bandcamp in this thread, I'll just let you know that it's going to be available via Burn Ward Records in tape form, with buttons already available in the Merch tab, featuring the album cover at $2 a piece. There's a lot of bright young artists on the label so be sure to give them some love too:
I'm Tears Of Chronus, so the albums Lovelace and Quarry To My Conscience are mine, tapes are available of Lovelace still. When Quarry To My Conscience, Vol. II: Relapsus drops, there'll be tapes of it too, expect that to come out in either late February or early March.
In the post you should only link to your bancamp and MAYBE to the new song, if its like 1-2 weeks old.
If someone says "hey man this is great love to hear more" then you can say "hey yo chek out mah mixtape, I mean, demos"
All those links are a big turn off and DESU the reason I haven't given you a listen
I posted the what lies ahead EP.
I'm glad you like it man!
I appreciate your support!
I checked out your stuff. I really liked it. Had a very soundtrack feel to it. Could definitely see it being played in a action or thriller type of movie. Keep up the good work. I'm gonna keep an eye on your page!
