It's your own fault, m8. I use a cheap Android phone (ex: Moto E, or some chink Xiaomis), and put in a large SD card (128 GB), as a music player. People who buy standalone MP3 players except the original iPod classic are idiots. You can install a music player app such as Poweramp or Black Player on Android and be set. You can even stream music off Youtube or Spotify, which none of these music players actually support. Last.fm integration and scrobbling is trivial. For audio quality and your specific setup, just use a decent DAC/Amp.
