Too bad the music is generic dogshit. Do we really need more glitchy synthpop with trap drums and female vocals? And yes, it is specifically female, I'm not just being sexist. If you're a dude making this kind of music you get a girl to sing over it. That's just what you do. It's all about the AESTHETIC, right? This stuff, along with grimes and cvrches and all those other bands, gives off the vibe of some shitty indie movie about aimless urban 20-somethings hooking up and trying to find meaning in their lives

I sometimes wonder if music like this does actually appeal more to people who live in cities than suburban/rural areas. It's got that party atmosphere while still being relatively dark and gritty to appeal to the sad sack college youth.

and it's a shame because his early music was fine for background party music but then of course these people tried to delve deep into music with no depth whatsoever
