ITT: we literally invent new genres
these threads are fucking garbage
nobody ever actually describes a new sound that might actually be a new genre, it's just appending post to a meme genre mixed with something else every fucking time I hate this shit
basically these guys
How have you not heard of Sunbather?
I'd be a real huge fan if it was more of a blackened atmosphere. id be pretty miffed if there were lots of blast beats and tremolos in that. it would be great if instead of it feeling like you were in a nice happy jungle you felt like you were in a super scary jungle. i have these ambient tapes from the 90's that are supposed to be relaxation music, but they just sound fucked up. its pretty clear they didnt go to a jungle. why dont people play more exotica? are people afraid they'll seem racist or is it just too niche?
yeah i got one but its kinda shitty, i gotta play with it a bit more. very excited to do it tho. they're from some series from an upstate ny label but i can find pretty much 0 info about them online
I made a little magma-inspired synthprog track right after seeing them live, tho it's not all that zeuhl-y I guess.
Also anyone got some stone-age bachelor pad?
The ones at the start of Blackgaze part. I'd def recc Ecailles de Lune and Lantlos' Melting Sun
I have an idea for a genre and I SWEAR it will become a thing in the 20s. Believe me, screencap this post
Genre: Junk Beat
Aesthetic: Old rusty things, Skateboards, Scrap metal, Junkyards, abandoned buildings
Sound: Noisey reverbed and distorted drums, with filthy analogue synths and shit like harmonicas. Heavy record scratching included and delay effects also.
Mr Oizo - The Salad
yeah i know i heard it, but its pretty clearly an album by a breakcore artist with reggae influences thats slow in pacing and not really straight up slow breakcore. thanks anyways tho
This basically exists, it's called Atelecine
done by sasha grey
done and done, sasha is inspired by sun O)))))
Too contradictory but this is the best we got
